WOW! Looks great! Did you do the mods yourself?
-
I dont get why it is not available yet. you gotta figure, the first manufacturur to make a tw-best SD with correct HEV is gonna sell a billion units.....
....well, maybe not a billion...
-
Wonder why they didn't update the "sword" on the swan neck, the regulator itself, on this one? Was nice to see it fixed on the new fiddy movements; almost like they just bent the old one.
I was wondering the same thing...I thought that was a nice touch on the latest G models..

Wow! awsome deal!
-
Please. Andrew knows the gramtical function of "inverted commas" but he doesn't know the definition of the word "perfect?" I'm perfectly willing to (and do) cut dealers all they slack they could reasonably want, and I wouldn't have gone after andrew if this were an isolated incident (and probably not at all if he hadn't stolen $120 from me) but anyone who's been here more than a month knows he's always calling some watch 99.9% or 1:1 or ultimate or perfect when in fact, not only it isn't any of those things, but even when objectively better versions are available.
I don't care whether you're selling bibles, or cars, or crack, or watches. You're either an honest guy or you're not.
I dont think it is fair to single out Andrew, I think other dealers such as Eddie and Joshua are just as guilty of useing terms like best, ultimate or 1:1....
-
The problem is not for us - those who read this thread and post.
The problem is for the newbie who doesn't know the flaws and just wants a rep. Seems misleading to that person, probably 95% of buyers, to use the terminology that way.
true, but if said newbie does not take the time to search and learn, it is his own damn fault. And even if he does buy a not so "ultimate" or "perfect" rep, he will still be getting a damn good watch at a damn good price...much better than if said newbie had not found this place and went with a scam site.
-
it should actually say "NOT SWISS NO"
LOL
-
I believe dealers use terms like "best" or "ultimate" "or "Perfect" in order to distinguish between the "new and improved" current model, and older models. And while I have no objection to using "best" or "ultimate", I feel that "Perfect" - unless it is truly perfect – can be misleading, and should not be used.
I think the system the PO seems to have adopted is the best. everyone knows the 4th gen is the newest and bestest; knows all the flaws; and the differences between it and the 3rd gen. It seems much more clear and concise.

uum...cliff notes for the lazy please....

All but some of you are idiots. Did you see me ask anything about any opinion on the watch ?? Did any of you read that I needed 2 cents of your thoughts of the dealer or the watch from the dealer ???
Um, NO.
Um, YES.
Any one care to chime their 2 cents in??you clearly did ask for our 2 cents/opinions...so I guess that makes YOU the idiot
LOL, it amazes me that people read what they want to read. There is a part of the post that says......Question:
Question proposes answer. LOL, its not that deep of a post.
The problem is, youre question is as flawed as your SD.
So here is my question: Why is it that this SD is made so impeccably well and why can’t all Rolex reps be made to this quality?? I know it seems like a generic question but it popped into my head today while wearing my SD. Once again, we can all understand that there are many manufacturers out there and there are only a select few that make quality REPS.Your SD is not made "Impeccably well", infact there are several much, much better Rolex Reps available.
Bottom line......I bought it, I love it. Thats all that really that matters. I appreciate all of the feedback BUT.... There was no request for the feedback given. LOL....but it is good that you like it.
-
Strangest rant ever, considering all SD replicas suck ass.
you mean all modern SD rep's. the Vitage SD reps (MBW) kick ass (with a little work)
-
would love to see a lume shot if you get a chance...
-
-
LOL! kinda anal.
its such a small thing. anyone who would know that the spelling was wrong, would know the watch was a rep long before he/she spoted the mis-spelling. you wouldnt be fooling anyone...but yourself of course...
My biggest worry about that watch is, which case is used? 1st gen, 2nd gen? Joshua said there is a 3rd gen...is the 3rd as solidly built as the 1st? or same as the 2nd? or even worse than the 2nd....
heh...I have a headach now..
-
That was the more expensive watchhonpo 187 rep from a few months back. The current 187 is glue only, as I've had the misfortune to discover.
that sux. I guess this is the rare case where those who bought version 1.0 got what they paid for! Nice to see it happens.
-
I thought I saw someone say the markers on the 187 were attched with pins or screws or somthing as well as glue...
-
Same thing happened to me.. easy fix..
First, make sure that you have a tool that's a bit longer than a pen ...pen's
don't reach down far enough, and don't be afraid to push it as far as it can go..
If it's still stuck, use your crown to complete the turn.. but not the crown
date adjustment function.. just the hands..
{I made that mistake and ruined my crown date connection}
Lastly sometimes the button is not lined up inside of the case due to the
movement ring being out of place..
In that case, open the back and take a look.. it's an easy adjustment..
Thanx for the info....I think I messed it up good. I tried what you said, to turn the crown to change the date, I did several (5 or 6) complete turns past 12, and the date never changed
Mine does not have a crown/date function...other than turnming the hands...your does?
I also tried pushing really har4d on the button, did nothing.
I will try your idea to open the back next...
-
this may be a dumb question, but why didnt you have David assemble it for you?
Oh, BTW looks aswome! And the pics are great! makes a guud DIY tutorial..
-
Hey all,
So <sigh> I was going to wear my 7753 196 today. I wound it up, set the time and went to change the date...and the date pusher got messed up
I have read people talking about this problem, But I never thought it could happen to me. I mean, I eat right, I exercise regularly, get lots of sleep, get regular checkups. How could this happen? If my recollection serves right, one way to avoid this was to not set the date within a few hours of midnight...so I am not sure why this happened. I set the time to around 8am before setting the date...maybe I didn’t push it in far enough, I have always been conscious not to push too hard cuz I didn’t want to break nothing...(get your minds out of the gutter)
So anyway...anyone know how to fix this? Will this problem just work itself out (by letting it run for a few days) or did I bugger it up, and need to send it to the great white north for some The Zigmeister luvin?
Thanx...I will try to be strong. <sniff, sniff> With all your support, I know I can get through this difficult time.

I need to whait for them to come in the mail
But i have a new camera Canon S3 IS that will kick ass when thaking pics
You will have the 092 and a 177H soon in your hands
just need some crowns from Palp
oooh, how is that camera, seems to be really good from what I have read...

That would be a mistake. By and large, this forum and the dealers who participate here, benefit from all the members, including the newer ones. For the dealers especially, I would think new members = new blood. I do not disagree with the notion of blacklisting members who engage in bad behavior (just as dealers are) but with new members come fresh ideas and perspectives and without them you run the risk of becoming xenophobic.
Agreed, it is a bit of an extreme suggestion. "Locking" the door might not be the best idea, but leaving it wide open is a bad idea also.
The reality is, we are participating in the buying and selling of illegal/counterfeit goods...the more underground (see; hush, hush) we keep our little hobby, the better for members and dealers...
-
Maybe its time to stop accepting new members....
-
Joshua,
does this watch have the older case? or the newer case?
Looking forward to this!
thanx

It will probably be some time before Breitling reps or gens become too common. Rolex has that dubious honour among higher-end watches now, and if anyone is next in line it is Omega.
If this, and other rep forums are a meter, I would say Panerai would be next in line....
