Wow, truly beautiful. I could just climb up and sit at the top with a good book, a thermos full of tea and some chocolate digestives.
You are a lucky man Nanuq, I can see why you choose to live up there. It's a healthier, happier, freer life. Enjoy my friend.
Haha! Just goes to show the quality of these super-reps. They can occasionally fool even watch nuts who also happen to be gen Brietling owners. I think with modern technology and the increasing demands on quality from customers like us, the gap between gens and reps is slowly decreasing and decreasing. There will come a point where the exterior of the watch in nigh-on indistinguishable from the gen to the naked eye.
I was doing my usual morning routine of Hot Rod videos when I came across this.
We have a guy with an amazing collection of Power Boats (at first I thought this could be Offshore) and cars followed by some good ol' Hot Rod mayhem http://m.youtube.com/watch?v=6yAmgec2OhY
A watch does feature in this video as well, I'm just not sure what watch Dennis is wearing.
Very through and informative review there!
The watch looks fantastic on the Panatime strap, I love how the yellow of the stitching matches-up so well with the yellow of the dial.
I agree with each point you've made although a few things you pointed out that I hadn't even noticed!
You've taken some great pictures of the watch-strap combo. Wear the watch well mate.
Lol, love it Dave! We Need a bit more humour, it's always good :-)
As Deckard said to me today, with tongue firmly in cheek, "that would be the US Navy" ;-)
Welcome to RWG mate. Would love to see pics of your VC and bikes! I did have a Monster many years ago however a meeting with a hedge a fence and a tree soon changed that.
Another nice watch there. How many did you get at one time?!
Love the mesh bracelet, it gives the watch an elegant look. Surprised that the crown isn't a screw-down however I don't know enough about the Transocean to provide a definitive answer.
Regardless, it looks gorgeous. You'll certainly get many an admiring glance at it.
I agree with ceejay and SSteel. The chrono seconds hand is so close to being spot-on that I doubt anyone would ever notice it in person. This looks like a very nice rep and if it was my money I would give it the green light. After all, if you ask for another watch it's flaws could be more pronounced and you could be forever trying to find the perfect rep (which I doubt exists, at least for now).
And you can always get them fixed at a later date if they really bother you.
Welcome to RWG!
There's a wealth of information in the Rolex forum: http://www.rwgforum.net/forum/143-the-rolex-area/
