  1. Very nice looking watch there. The white/ivory dial works so well with the polished SS case, the subtle green of the lume and polished SS bracelet. It really is an elegant piece. Wear it with pride my friend.
  2. I was looking at the He valve and thinking it's placement is a little low when comparing it with mine however I then realised that this is a new 37.5mm model which like you mentioned, is completely new to me as well. If this is indeed real then this new size could explain why the movement looks different from normal (normal being what the gen pics show for the 42 & 45mm versions). I agree with fraggle that if this is a fake then they've done a damn fine job.
  3. Nice, thanks for that James. Will most likely need it when I order up a 372 from Angus
  4. It's a good look With those four acoustic guitars there we could really get some fine music going.....and by the looks of it the wolf won't be doing any howling
  5. Oh my goodness! Now that's what I call a rug! And I love the "growl" pose he has on, he's saying
  6. Really liking it. It's a lovely watch and a very good rep indeed. I was wondering prior to receiving the watch whether-or-not I had made a mistake in going for the yellow dial as opposed to the Grey dial. However, having received, worn and admired the watch over the past few days I know I made it right decision. It stands out without being overly showy or gaudy. It's water-resistance is impressive (for a rep) and is exceptionally comfortable to wear. Even it's weight and thickness don't particularly bother me. I wore the watch with a suit once and although this is definitely more sporty, the combination of the suit with this watch oddly worked. In saying that, this will still be my new go-to sports watch, whether I'm going for a round of golf or lounging about in a pool. How about yourself? What are your thoughts on the watch? Would also be nice to see some pictures of it on the panatime strap.
  7. I agree, the Pams really are gorgeous watches. Their simplicity and elegance is growing on me. How are you faring with the Explorer 2?
  8. Beautiful time piece there. Still obsessing whether to get this or the 372.
  9. Very nice; love the 111, an absolute classic. You wear it well sir. That Aviary app looks interesting, I like the effects produced in the picture. Brings the eye nicely to the watch.
  10. Now that is amazing! I wouldn't even have considered this a possibility. I actually want to visit Austria now.
  11. Wow! I'm terrified simply having read your post let alone experiencing it. Very impressive handling of the situation there. I guess that's partially why all the wolves here in Scotland were wiped out in the late 1600's. Makes the mountain walks a little less treacherous. Safe hiking my friend and hope your dog is okay.
  12. Sticking with the Banana SeaWolf. Gives me that summer feeling!
  13. Oh my, why did I click on this topic . Now the demons are taking over and making me find any reason to justify another watch purchase only a few days after receiving my previous one I made it worse by watch the video on Angus' site. I'm infatuated with it
  14. I've not had any issues with mine either. Can you post a picture of the finishing that's fading away. If the finish is simply brushed Stainless Steel all I can think of is either it's been scuffed or oxidised (however oxidation of SS under normal conditions doesn't make sense unless it had been exposed to a high moisture environment under high pressure/heat. I believe steel can oxidise under the extreme pressures in deep dive scenarios (however I have no experience with this at all) and I doubt you used the U-Boat for deep diving. It does seem, as Mike said, that you simply got a bad one.
  15. Yep, I was thinking that most of us move to Australia-and-the-like to escape this awful weather. Moving back must be one of the least pleasant experiences. On a lighter note, at least you won't have to put up with the stiflingly hot summers over there. You can enjoy the mild, damp British summers :-) Back to the PO Pumpkin for the morning at least
  16. 3 bars is perfect for the everyday use we tend to place the watches under, from showers to pool parties to snorkelling. I think we really only need more for scuba diving. With the improved quality of the reps come improved tolerances. I guess the only possible let down is the attention-to-detail from the people who put the pieces together in the factories. If they accidentally forget a gasket then there would be a problem. Thanks for getting it tested and letting us know. I'll be getting mine properly tested fairly soon as well hopefully.
  17. That sounds like a great idea. Let us know how the watch fares with the testing, I'm really curious to know. Also, enjoy your holiday! Hawaii sounds amazing!
  18. Wow! That's great to hear. I know the watches vary from piece to piece however it's still promising that your SeaWolf (yeah, I love that name too!) managed to reach the maximum capacity of the pressure tester. Makes me wonder, assuming all the seals and gaskets are installed properly, how far could a Wolf rep be pushed... The Pro1 rubber strap is a good idea and I'll keep it in mind for the future, thanks! Hmm....yeah, the crooked 12 o'clock marker. I was wondering why I hadn't been supplied with a clear picture of the face and I think I may just have noticed the flaw had I been given it. I guess that's the nature of the rep-game. If that's the extent of the faults with this watch then I won't be too bothered. I don't believe it's a difficult fix either should I want to go down that route. Thanks again for the kind words my friend. The watch looks gorgeous and certainly brings a smile to my face each time I look at it. If a watch can do that then I'm a happy man! :-)
  19. I haven't ever tried the gen however I think it surely can't be heavier than this.. The rep really does have that quality feel to it. Likewise, I think I'll most likely keep it on the SS bracelet. It suits the watch well, only the clasp bugs me slightly. Thanks mate, appreciate it. Yeah, as soon as I tried the clasp I remembered your post and thought "we have another one". Hmm....interesting idea getting the SO bracelet. I may just do that in the near future.
  20. I had similar thoughts. The lenses are most likely manufactured by the same factories so they would yield similar results. For $10 it would be worth a try. I think I'll order up one as well and see how the pictures come out. Certainly a darn sight cheaper than forking out for an SLR and macro lens!
  21. Yep, my bank balance depletes each time I come onto this forum. There are too many gorgeous watches!
