Last year I embarked on the journey of building an All gold Datejust 16018. http://www.replica-watch.info/vb/showthread.php?t=193280&highlight=16018 Sadly I sold it to a member over @ RWG....I hope he is enjoying it. Now I realized I miss having an all gold watch. What do I do now? Build another FG watch ofcourse! And my pick is a Day-Date Presidential 18038 & 18238. Yes...2(maybe even 3). Below are the parts I have gathered thus far Gen 18kt bezel for Sapphire crystal Gen 18kt Crown for 18200 Gen Gold dial Gen Black & Gold dial(I think might be refinished) Gen Champagne dial with Aftermarket diamonds High quality clone ETA 2836-2 (with H4 CP & HW) Clark's gold dress hands for Tudor Clark's 25-295c Rep 18kt GP mid case & case back Rep Presidential band The back of the diamond dial The back of the gold dial The back of the black dial I'm torn on which one to build first. I know for sure its the diamond dial that going to be the 18038 because of the aged dial dots. An open 6 & 9 DWO & aged hands to match the dial will make the cipher complete.Mymanmatt would probably be executing this builds. I will keep you guys posted on what i decide.

Left is Gen. The "Oyster perpetual DateJust" text on the right dial looks like them so called refinished dials on eBay. The Swiss Made text is also too close. All that said the "rep" dial is still very good quality. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

Not bad @ all. I want to build a Franken 18239. Gen parts for WG rollies are not easy to come by. I got everything but the WG crown with 2dots. Enjoy your lovely piece! Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

If 116233 band/end links will fit your 118234. Contact the eBay seller "georgeyeo1962" and ask him to gold plate the whole end links for 116233. I got the end links for my Franken 16018 from him I had him gold plate whole of his 16233 end link Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

PM me with your details.. I got 1 for free.99

@ceejay. If you need some 5.3mm or 6mm crown that will fit a 24-5300 tube, left me know.

Please don't f&@k a classic gen Tudor up. It doesn't make $$$ and it doesn't make sense .

I'm going trying a 2873 & 2879...I will keep you posted!

Guys the Felsa 4008 in my space dweller 1016 is a true "underdog" movement. The PR on mines is almost 48hrs after winding it up and not wearing it. It's truly the perfect movement for your JMB explorer 1016 builds @ 18kph same the movement in the gen 5500,6610 & 1016. I ve a 77j felsa 4007N & a 50j felsa 4000 I'm saving for later this year.

I like but it does need improvement. Can you change the text to black? It's me Stone P
