  1. I have flicked them off with a tooth pick. they come off complete with very little force. Now I am sure this could scratch your dial if you are not careful, but I did not have any problems doing this with other reps. (113 PAM and a Datejust.
  2. Well, dont go getting the big head because if she is like my wife, she says it about George Clooney too.
  3. Sweet! Not wrinkles, character.
  4. A ball of tape or rubber gloves. No scratches on your case back!!! I prefer to use the gloves as there is no sticky residue when your done. The rubber glove and your thumbs get a good grip, easy.
  5. Not at all. Buy yourself some silicone from Cousins or J. Borel. You would be doing yourself a favor to grease your gaskets every 6 - 10 months or so. Cheap insurance. The grease keeps the gaskets from drying out, it's the gasket that waterproofs your watch. Just make sure to put it back on tight, but you don't have to over do it.
  6. take a pic of the movement and post it, it's the only way to tell. Anything else is just a guess.
  7. Good thing this is a discussion forum then huh?
  8. Yea, that would be a great reference if you have the time.
  9. English is not elprimerozen first language and he is correct, most rep SEL's are too thick in the middle and stick up too high, kelster's look really good, but his are not the norm. I do not think elprimerozen meant any disrespect. Maybe you should chill out Bra.
  10. [censored] [censored], that looks like it hurt. I bet next time you will listen to Jennifer. Sorry my friend. I hope you have a speedy recovery.
  11. I am sure everyone uses incorrect or slang English every day. It makes us human.
  12. Well put. Got to look out for #1, that is what they are trying to do. I am #1 in my book.
  13. NATO and el cheapo spring bars for the ocean baby !! If you take a watch in the ocean, better go ahead and buy some more spring bars that salt will do it every time. Grease them up and make sure they are tight. I have not had any troubles in the pool or the beach myself. disclaimer - I have never swam with a chrono and dont intend to.
  14. yellow pages and your phone may be u'r best bet. 6497 not too complicated.
  15. Looks nice kelster. Good work. No etch, 16800 getting closer now. Would anyone know if this crystal & gasket would also fit the TWB case?
  16. Be careful man. It sounds very easy to take a dab of paint and fill a scratch, but NOOOOOOOOO! It ends up looking like a huge blob of paint on a nice even dial surface. It is much easier to [censored] it up worse than it is to make it look kinda better. It is incredibly hard to paint a tiny scratch without it looking like [censored]. Ask me how I know. Sometimes it's better to live with it as is.
  17. Some news on those casebacks. It was mentioned on the genuine forum that if your watch was ever serviced by Rolex service center, they removed the paint. Certainly after 30 years it had been serviced at least once, so take it off.
  18. If there is something to remove it, I would be interested also. I can tell you that I have spent hours with a dremel and various rouge compounds trying to remove a scratch from the glass off my old EL 127. Nothing. Bought a DSN. I would guess some diamond paste like a dentist would use could get it out, but where to find that?
  19. Looks great. One of, if not THE best frankens I have ever seen. Luck you JoJo, wear it well.
