  1. Sorry to those that will like it, but it's just fugg'n yuck in my opinion. The gen and the rep.
  2. Check ebay internationalwatchman.com has them and very cheap. They may suck, and I am not recommending them as I have never bought anything form them, but they do have them. Maybe worth a try for a few dollars.?
  3. Welcome to the world of reps. You see reps are like crack, you buy a cheapo rep and say nice, really impressive for the money. You start to wonder what else you can get if you just spend a little more. Then you take a risk and sample a rep that has some mods done, DAMN now this is so nice, and at that moment you are an addict. In the end you will be spending more than you would have if you had just bought that one gen and moved along. The up side is you can have a box full of nice watches instead of the one gen. It's crazy, but also a lot of fun and you will make some good friends too. Take pictures along the way. Roll Tide.....Beat the Clemmers on Aug 30.
  4. Maybe they are cross threaded. Not exactly what you wanted to hear i am sure.
  5. coincidence me thinks. Maybe time stood still that day.
  6. No. I have not seen that on any MBW, but it is very special to have a watch made in Shitinerand.
  7. What watch is it? Some bezels are press on very tight and you risk ruining your bezel. Anyway Stick something between the case & bezel. Watchmakers knife or a credit card and turn the bezel to the left. Might want to tape up the lug if you use metal or you will scratch the case. It will pop off. You will have one of three types of click mechanism. 1. A flat shim that goes around the crystal. It will have three areas that are raised up to ride the notches in the bezel and one bent down to fit into a hole in the case at 12 and keep it from sliding when you turn the bezel. 2. A hole in the case with a spring and a pellet. Be careful with this one. Once you remove the bezel the pellet shoots across the room never to be found again. 3. A hole in the case with a piece of bent wire that rides the notches on the bezel. Good luck.
  8. Only a problem with chronographs. Your standard eta 28xx can be set anytime, except at midnight when eating a honey bun because you will get fat.
  9. Jules Borel has them listed @182.15. Maybe give them a call and see if they have stock.
  10. I did this same thing to my 111F. Since I was throwing the old tube away, I just stuck a file into the tube, it will grab the tube, and turned it while pulling out. Some heat might make it come out easier as I believe it is glued in place. I did this over a year ago and i am pretty sure I had to drill the case to accept DSN's tube as my Josh case was a smaller diameter. If I could remember the drill size I would share, but i cant for the life of me remember what size it was. I used some 30 min epoxy on the DSN tube to make it water tight and keep it in place. Good luck with your project, I feel it was worth doing. One suggestion for you tho, why not wait until T's crowns are complete. I am sure they will be very nice and are supposed to fit the standard rep tube without modification.
  11. Personal preference. I do not like it to stick to my arm, but I dont want it flopping around either. The pinky thing is about right for me personally.
  12. Looks like a gen to me. Nice job it looks great.
  13. Damn that looks good to me. My wish list continues to climb faster than my current income. I am sick of being broke! Damn it!
  14. Nice time piece and a very well written and entertaining post. Great job and thank you for sharing.
  15. Sorry didnt catch that. I say ignore the letter then. Good luck.
  16. someone trying to scam you. agree, Rolex would want more.
  17. Rep the in house Panerai = two words, Hell No. Don't see it ever happening.
  18. Ah, but maybe your CN test subject would make a nice 14060 now with the smaller rehaut, so all is not lost, just opened another door. Very rare indeed that extra 0 sub. I saw on TZ someone put an acrylic crystal on their 16800, looked good too. There goes that. I dont see me doing this with my hand held, so I am back to begging you to do mine.
  19. Thanks for posting this. I just printed all 59 pages to put into a file. Did they have the ETA 28xx movements? That would sweet. I looked, but found nothing. Thanks again.
  20. Or at least tell me you will do mine. PLEASE!
  21. I think you did great. They look very nice I also think you better start telling us how you did it. I have a case that is screaming for this to be done. My 16800 awaits your reply.
