  1. I wish they would make a nice rep of this one too. Nice and clean. Best bet IMO is to build your own, with a gen dial (if you can find one). The lower rehaut in the Chinese reps would actually be a good thing for this model. You would of course have to drill lug holes.
  2. This one from BOB in caramel, $29 + $5 s/h Are the deployment from the BCE the same? If yes, maybe PT can help you.
  3. Keep going, it needs more, but it's really going to be hard for you to tell with that big goofy ass crown that's on it.
  4. @ TMG How did you like the MkII Watches hands? Compared to say Clark's Tudor hands. Closer to gen or not worth the $45?
  5. I agree, act like you have been there. Pulling off a $3k - $5k watch is not a big deal. Most people with a job can pay monthly for one if it's something they really have to have. Also helps if you dont deliver pizza's on your moped.
  6. Thats a little harsh bro. He is drilling lug holes where there were none to begin with. I would not do that with a hand held drill myself. I found it newsworthy because it's something I would like to have done.
  7. Interesting. Thanks for sharing your results, It looks great. Does it dry hard? Like will it come off if you rub it. Maybe I try this on a pearl from a 1680 too, depending on your answer. Again, thanks for sharing.
  8. DAMN Bobby. That looks great. Your lug holes and CG's are perfect and the work you did on the divers extension pin, WOW. No detail was overlooked. Excellent job and thanks for sharing your work.
  9. LOL I hear you brother. I would go broke experimenting. Nice set up rodwc. You must have to fork over some serious $$ to have a clock restored/repaired. Thanks for sharing.
  10. Like you said, it's a double edge sword. It would make them too easy to slip out if you oiled them first and if you dont then they corrode. Maybe just dip the screw in blue loc-tight and the plastic will help protect them, then you can oil the whole bracelet as a preventative measure.
  11. On the left 100% sure it's a rep. On the right, I say a very nice rep. The crown guards are perfect and it has lots of gen parts. Maybe a Gen dial, hard to say 100% from your pictures. Whatever it is, it's nice.
  12. Just looked at a pic and you are correct. Also the bezel numbers are different shape.
  13. Yup, I agree $400 plus. Then it will settle into a price like the BCE. That's when I will buy it, but for sure I want this one.
  14. Isn't that the same GMT the others are selling? If so that is a good price. Like the Oris, but have others on my wish list ahead of it. 47mm x 18mm it's a big boy that's for sure.
  15. I would ask lots of questions and get it in writing.
  16. @Hike, That's what friends are for, and it's easy to want to help good honest people like you. I cant tell you how many times someone here has helped me out when I thought my projects were doomed, so it's nice to be able to help someone else out in return. We need more members like you my friend. @freddy, I rinse myself in scotch, would it help if I tossed one on the old Polex too?
  17. I dont think you actually ever touched the keyless works. I kid. You make me sick with your trips Hike. I am looking forward to taking next week off to relax at the beach, BUT you Mr. Hike have like 6 full months of fun [censored] already planned out. Enjoy it my friend but stay away from my girlfriend.
  18. You will have his signature for the package and his money. What is he going to do?
  19. Hope not to offend those that like it, but I think it is Fugly.
  20. If you do as you say and get the $ up front, withdraw it, and insure item for the full amount I would say you have covered all your bases.
  21. [censored]. Damn. Dont start with this please, I really want to get one of these.
  22. It is 100% possible with some preventative measures. Grease the seals and make sure the crystal is seated. The only areas water can get in is the crown, crystal and the case back. They all have seals, but it would be up to you or your watchmaker to check them out first. I swim and shower with a good many of my reps, but they have all been checked and greased. This one seems to have issues with the crystal not being seated correctly. Search for HikeUSA's problems. He couldn't wash his hands with it.
  23. While mine is not the most accurate of whats available, the blue dial is absolutely gorgeous. I have never been a big fan of blue face dials, but this one gets more compliments than anything I have ever worn. Here is mine. It's a V1 blue dial that I swapped for a V2 slate gray dial. I have a V2 blue dial that I recently bought and one day I will make a another swap to add the missing tic at 10 and a nice relume, but I can honestly say it does not bother me as is. Not enough to tear into my watch again.
  24. I think it looks sweet. Love the CF dial. Enjoy.
