  1. Jog on son, we don't want your spam. Sorry to OP but I don't have an answer for you.
  2. After some deliberation and discussion with the mods, I feel obliged to open this up to the general community. There are several members on here who are potentially looking to scam you good folks out of your hard earned money. Please be vigilant when dealing with people who are asking for PayPal gift or worse still funds via bank transfer. There is no recourse should things go wrong and you WILL lose your money. If a member (new or longstanding) won't accept PayPal (non gift) then be wary. I have my suspicions about some members having multiple user names. Some may even be 'trading' and leaving feedback for themselves to boost their profile. Then they may later go rogue and request you to 'gift' or bank transfer them the money on the fact that they have a good reputation. Personally, I won't buy anything unless it's either cash on collection or non gift PayPal. If anyone wants to add to this please do so. I won't name names unless there is a request from the mods for me to do so.
  3. If you want one look in the M2M sales section on the various rep sites, chances are someone has done all the hard work with the QC and you may get a bargain.
  4. Not good. However gens go wrong too. There are plenty of stories on the gen forums about new gens with problems. At least when it's a rep you know it's only worth a few hundred $$$ not thousands!
  5. What AJ said. I'd even go as far as to contact previous buyers if your looking at a M2M sale. I've done this recently and it's raised a few eyebrows. Be careful not everyone is as they seem.
  6. Sometimes 2-3 times a day, other times I'll select a watch and wear it for a week or more.
  7. lol if he does I'll be taking a ticket and joining the que!
  8. What a bargain. So your friend has move across to Rolex, not up! These are some of the nicest watches out there - not that I'm in any way biased, as the owner of several gens and reps lol. Wear in good health.
  9. Cheers Mike, all sorted now
  10. Can a mod please PM me urgently. Thanks

  12. With all due respect, and I feel your disappointment with the TD's service, it's no use posting this unless you're prepared to name them.
  13. Not seen him around for a while, he always posted some good advice. Hope he's okay.
  14. Nice order. Now the hard part - waiting tic toc tic toc .....
  15. How about deleting the post from makes2068 before someone tries to buy it from that site.
  16. Nanuq, can the negative feedback he's left for members be removed?
  17. Indeed, a link to the sale thread is a very good idea. As for Messi10, a swift smack with the ban hammer seems a good idea too.
  18. I went many years ago and the only reps I saw were junk Rolex. Don't bother would be my advice.
  19. Thank you very much, I'm leaning towards the HEV at the moment.
  20. That's lovely AJ, a real piece of history. Alas, it's too big for me, so wear it in good health.
  21. The addiction never truly goes away, does it? Please tell me it does!!!!!!
  22. Okay guys, I'm thinking about building a fantasy Omega: my grail. It's been done before in various guises, here's one photo stolen from the net. Basically, it's a Seamaster Professional 2254, but with a Seamaster 2230 dial and a PO bezel, crystal and second hand. I've been collecting the parts for a while and have either with me, or in transit everything bar the PO bezel, insert and second hand. Now, I have a rep 2254 on its way to me and hopefully will be here in a week or so, but do I use a Seamaster GMT case, i.e. sans HEV or do I stick with a 2254 case? Opinions please. Here is my rep GMT alongside its gen brother. I could use this or wait for the 2254, which already has a PO crystal installed. I managed to obtain a 2230 dial when I purchased a gen 2230 recently, unfortunately it needs a relume as one of the markers is missing it's lume The 2230 dial is similar to the 2254, but has lume filled applied markers (white gold?) rather than painted. This makes it look more like a PO dial and some consider it an upgrade. So, should I go sans HEV?
  23. 122,000 Euros, or learn to run very fast! lol lovely looking watch, you'd better get saving.
  24. I don't think so, or at least it's not enough to worry about. I'll have a look when I'm home and report back if there is a large gap. As for removing the bezel; it just seemed easier to do this first and then remove the insert, also I was conserned about scratching the crystal if I left the bezel in place.
