  1. Agreed prices and dealers can be found searching at the forum, no mystery part dealers with "extra good quality" for $200 more, here is the way to go: 1.-Study your prefered model (reference, size, color, material) 2.-Search within the forums for those parts 3.-buy all once you know as much as possible about parts this will save tremendous amount of time and money, this magnificent forum have several threads with build details from several members around, check those too! P.S. sometimes its better to hunt for a watch already built if you dont have all the tools/skills/practice needed to build a high end rep.
  2. Also a big fan of vintage Daytonas, I guess is all about the sensations of the watches on your wrist, my very first rep was Tag microkrogirder 45 mm very chunky and very fake, then a Pam 388 and IWC also very beefy until I got my first 42mm a bargain LMPO v1 and then i knew it, my favorite size its 42 mm, after some time i got a 5513 from cartel then a 1680 mbw and a 16600 (my most used rep thus far and the most popular rolex rep model) recently got interested in vtg daytonas, currently building my first high end with an MQ panda, viet case, and v72, cant wait to see all together, i have been considering getting myself a cartel to practice shaving the case to make it thinner, we'll see.
  3. Daniel Wong pushers (6239 Valjoux 23/ mystery movement case) Pusher Cap: 2,7mm height Pusher stem: 6,64 mm Pusher base: 3,2 mm (this is the one that seems to be bigger for you, isn't it?) you have the Ofrei ones and they have same specs as per gen. Why don't you try to get a full set (pair) and replace them both instead of replacing just one, set should match. hope it helps
  4. hi Daniel, I happen to have : -Gen 6239 pushers -DW 6239 pushers and -CU 6263 pushers (302) I will try to measure all of them for you, i'll post pictures asap.
  5. hey thnaks for the tip, i'll try one of those, noticed that my t21 for my DW 6263 also fits, not periodically correct tho.

  10. The sellers of the bezel keeps changing ebay username keep looking and suddenly a "new seller will appear" but pictures are always the same and price its fair tho it shouldn't take more than 2 months to appear, also you can contact tonny and he should be able to source this one for you, thansk for sharing those pics, I am doing the same build slowly getting all parts.
  11. amazing work rolo, yeah noticed some really really nice viet dials lately even very cool lume dots vintage. Your work its absolutely stunning rolo, i wish there were more sub hands options, the only slim ones avaliable are those alpha homage but you gotta buy the whole piece, keep up the great job rolo, pictures are fantastic!
  12. It was 2 cases the a7753 and the v23/mysterious thinnest, I think the main difference its the caseback thickness, but after reading lots of posts about DWs they were changing so many "versions" were avaliable back in time.
  13. Thanks alligoat another part coming now so we'll see if all fits once all the parts arrive, this is the list of errors that I made for rushing: 1.- bought a 6239 case but really wanted a 6263 Paul newman panda 2.-bought 302 pushers but mines should be 301 instead, i'll save the 1st pair for another proyect 3.-planned to used DW hands so had to get a new valjoux 72 ones since DW were for a7750 so fa so good, just waiting all the parts to arrive to put all together and take better pictures, been very busy with xmas but really happy with this first build, i been really tempted to work also in a 1680 old school MBW swiss mvt that i want to tune up with a MQ 1680 red dial, relumed and a gen mvt and i in the other hand a 6538 silix, but will focus on the daytona until its done. here some pics of the movement that i took with a cellphone magnifyier, hour wheel and washer removed, cheers everyone!
  14. merry xmas to all! movement has not stem for v23, trying to find the proper one...
  15. I Got a Explorer II without any paint so followed a tutorial and painted in black with enamel paint, you gotta apply several layers letting them dry 1 day at least for each layer, tutorial its quite simple and no special tools needed but a microfiber to remove excess of paint and tape to protect crystal, hope you find someone to help you with.
  16. Hello alligoat, thank you for the input, the previous owner of the case mentioned that this particular case was able to take ofrei pushers for 6263 with no problems or mods, direct swap (apparently he tried), in the other hand, I wanted to install gen pushers so I need proper tubes, I will post pictures as soon as all parts arrive (most still in the mail) Yes sub 6 will be frozen until I can source a valjoux 72.
  17. Daytona hands set $250 Wanted to ask to the members that are familiar to this cases if its possible to make this change from 6239 to 6263 just changing pushers, bezel and dial is it possible? I am about to order the tube but i see two at cousins (C33419 and C8363 one its 5,2 mm leght and the other 6,2 mm leght) not sure wich one to order. Some parts are in the mail some other am ordering this days but i will be posting pictures of the progress. cheers and merry xmas,
  18. Well I say dont go gen, and I'll try to explain why, I came to the reps world looking for a Mikrogirder tag heuher lol , here, fallen in love with a Noob CrPO 42 mm orange markers black bezel rubber black with orange stiches. It was my "grail" ( I was a student so i cant even afford the rep lol) waited literally for years for an m&m deal until i gave up and got the rep, long short story ended up buying the gen when i bought the gen the market price for this ones was around 5000ish new, i did see one yesterday in local stores for 2500, morals: this models dont keep their value in time as well as other models do, (check speedmasters prices evolution from 2005 to now.) So for me this a reason for not to get a gen CrPO i kept the rep to wear and keep my gen flawless, when i started to see the value dropping, watch was sold even the rep costed me 400 usd and now its 200ish.
  19. hello new at this forum wanted to ask if any one can tell who made this dial? and greetings for everyone.
