  1. Well hello everyone, I am/was the buyer of this watch. First off I want to apologize(again) to the seller for questioning this AFTER I committed to the sale. It was wrong as a buyer. I should have looked closer and asked the seller all of this BEFORE I committed to buy the watch. I have been looking for this exact model, Noob version, for a while and didn't want to miss out on it as I have before. Not an excuse and still my fault. I did contact the seller and request a refund questioning the validity of the movement, he agreed to a refund and continued to take the time to answer my every request by sending me more pictures and I thought everything was fine, working toward a possible result in him shipping the watch instead of a refund. This was never a case of me looking for an excuse just to get my money back. I posted this same question on another forum, not sure I'm allowed to post a link to it but I don't want to hide anything so here i is: http://www.replica-watch.info/vb/showthread.php?t=171918 again, I should have done that before buying the watch. Please know that I in no way ever accused the seller of knowingly trying to sell a clone movement. After all of the back and forth PMing between the seller and myself and the help on the other forum I asked the seller to ship me the watch instead of the refund. He refused and after reading this thread I understand why. I think this has gotten way out if hand now(my fault) and want everyone to know that I have NO ill feelings toward the seller and really don't want any toward me, from him or any of you. I truly believe the seller is a great, honest and stand up guy. I also hope he and all of you feel the same way about me as a buyer. I have bought many watches on these rep forums and never have had an issue with a seller nor to my knowledge has a seller had a problem with me. I still would rather receive the watch then a refund and can assure the seller there will not be any future problems and would like to be able to do business with him in the future if the opportunity presents itself. What ever he decides to do will be fine with me though. Thank you all for your time, patients and input.
  2. Great point! You can't buy this exact model new from an AD.
  3. Are you looking for a gen? AD or TD? Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  4. Put your money somewhere safe. Buy a TC rep. Wear it until you understand any flaws that bother you. Decide if spending the money on a gen is worth it to YOU. You may end up liking a different model better then the one you originally were going to drop 8k on. I was interested in buying a gen SD, bought a rep and didn't like it after a few weeks. I can afford a gen but as of now I am perfectly happy with my rep. I now have a Milgauss, DDII, and two Daytonas in the mail, lol. Could not afford to do that with gens. Good reps hold there value too so if I ever want to get out of the rep game I can sell them and put it towards a gen. Well, that's my advice. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  5. Wow, that bottom pic shows a big difference!
  6. I thought the case is the same for v5 and v6. It might be thinner then the older ones because he shaves off the engraving.
  7. I just got it after about 5 mins of looking at the watch for something funny about it, then when I zoomed out I figured it out, lol!!
  8. Look in the m2m sales forum(s). There are(or were) a few yesterday.
  9. That's it. All the TC is missing is the stamped bracelet number on the inside of the bracelet, but no one can see that nor the engraving between the lugs on the wrist. I'm going to put an AR gen crystal on mine and mess it all up anyway, lol.
  10. See how shallow the bezel cuts are in the Y, just like a TC. During the 2003 transition I believe the Y also came with out lug holes and had a pointy 4, am I correct?
  11. May I ask what the differences are between an M dial and a Y dial are?
  12. Wasn't knocking your pics bro, the only bad pic of a watch is no pic! I was referring to side by side comparison shots if someone was to privilege us with them.
  13. Would really need both watches shot in the exact lighting conditions and the white balance set the same(correct). Most of the photos we see(mine included) have the white balance all over the place. Some guys on these forums get it correct and I can see when a photo was shot by someone who knows what he is doing weather a pro or a very good enthusiast photographer. I'm just too lazy these days, lol.
  14. Yes they do, that is the only tell that I can find on a KH dial, kind of an easy one to see unfortunately.(the 5 minute ticks are brighter then the 4 ticks I between them on a gen)
  15. It's not a KH dial, a very nice dial no less!
  16. I'm looking for one too. Don't care about period correct, call it an upgrade, gen owners do it all the time. A gen ar crystal looks fantastic!
  17. Nice! Think we can figure out what one is your favorite, lol.

Edit: Here is the link to the RWI thread on period correct TC sub. Have to wait for RWI be back up and running of course. http://www.replica-watch.info/vb/showthread.php?t=164222

There is a great thread on how to make your rep period correct on RWI, when it's back up search for it. Basically a TC sub with shallow bezel teeth is very close to a Y series except for not having the bracelet model number engraved on the underside of the first link of both sides of the bracelet. If it has deeper cut teeth it is closer to a newer model, I can't remember the letter of the model or what little mods would have to be made to it to be correct.

I did not know that, I thought 21j(never had one) was an eta copy. My seiko movements all turn clockwise with crown also. Is a 21j high beat? Does it fit eta dial feet?

Lol, no I have never done that. You took it all wrong. I would never do that, lol. I am not worried about someone asking me to "hand over your watch" either, lol. I was just saying that if someone went as far as asking you to take your bracelet off your watch, they would probably know enough to spin the crown first. Maybe I worded it wrong or something. The whole "afraid to be called out" makes me chuckle, maybe because I'm to old to be questioned about wearing a rep. If someone asked if my watch was real, I would say F-off, lol.

Or just ask you to turn the crown clockwise and watch which way the hands turn. If I was inspecting a watch for gen I would do that before taking the bracelet off. "Most" gen owners know less about reps then rep owners know about gens.
