Awesome, I have been visiting their site a lot lately and love their work, just cannot seem to decide which one to try. I have a fairly large strap collection now, so may try something a little different like yours. I think it would also look great on a 1675 Pepsi.

Use some needle nose pliers and it does not take much. Just bend the tab on the underside out a hair. You should be able to hold it by hand and bend the tab. If not mount it with some smaller spring bars on an old case, then slip a screw driver between the case and tab on the bottom and lift just slightly, that will open them up as well.

Thanks guys. CC's help with the exposure settings has helped a lot. I ordered another olliclip with telephoto and CPL lenses. Allegedly the CPL will help reduce the glare even when shooting with the phone. It will be here Thursday, so this weekend I will make another attempt at a photo shoot.

I agree, there are a few builds that are really nice and DLF's is certainly one of them. I like Yuki, always get good service and parts. But not for this build. Phong or MQ case for this one. This is supposed to be my next project. I have already sourced a few parts, but the white dial remains the obstacle preventing any further progress. All my sport watches have black dials....be nice to have a white one.

Little spa treatment on the GMT this morning. Finally got around to lightly fading my insert and changed up to a nice Oyster. Ran out of time but this was a nos gen insert so it is quite a bit lighter than it was. May go a shade or two lighter. First attempt at doing this. Think it turned out pretty good. Unfortunately, some worked without problems for repeated plays and I believe are still in use and for some reason unknown some did not work at all. I wish I had more information for you. Good lordy.....maybe it is the ultra rare white Bart Simpson after he has been hit in the head. Case looks over-polished as well. Still not a terrible deal if the movement is solid and everything else is original.

As stated above, contact TC, he is good about warranteeing his products. I had similar issues with one last year and he replaced the movement. It took awhile to get it back but TC is a great guy and easy to work with. On my current TC, I just went ahead a put a genuine ETA 2824 with the higher canon pinion in it from the start...

As others have stated, I would avoid the "Swiss" upgrade from any rep dealer even our TD's. My last couple attempts resulted in paying for the upgrade but still receiving a clone movement, so in essence paid for the upgrade for no reason. I would really avoid "perfectwatches" as that is a scam site. If I buy an out of the box rep I would order it with the Asian clone movement and then if I really like the watch and had movement issues I would source a genuine ETA from a reputable seller and have it replaced. Or for a build, I might just start with an ETA. For example we recently built a TC LV and used a brand new Swiss ETA 2824 in it instead of the clone as I plan to keep the watch. The clone movements work fine in many cases as some members have reported. I have had mixed results with them. Some have worked great and others not so much.

I have had the similar issues making copies for work. I ended up trying a few different machines and disks. I have found some really weird random problems. Make disks on one machine and it will play on the other machine but not on the one I made it on...Tried several different disks as well. From the same package, some worked and some did not using the exact same copy technique. Drove my IT network admin person crazy...Sorry cannot be of any help, but at least you know it is not just you or your setup. If I remember we had the best luck with Sony disks.

Hi there and welcome to the forum. Stick to our trusted dealers. As far as I know noobwatches is not a trusted dealer. If you are taking on a build do a lot of research. If you are looking for a modded franken watch, you may want to look into the member to member sales area as well. Nice complete builds come up occasionally and can save you time and money.
