Look around the website. Some really impressive craftsmanship. Way out of my league and not really my thing, but certainly can appreciate the work.

Yes, been close a couple of times on the insert, but it seems every time I like the color/fade there is a fatal flaw like a crack on the triangle or some really bad gouge or they are way overpriced. I can live with the phong until I find the "one" It's the OCD......

@tomhorn, deep question. My personal belief; the media sensationalizes stories they pick and choose to push their agenda and these stories fuel what you are describing. The news we see is only what they choose to show us. I won't go into too many details as I do not want to offend anyone, but I think we see a lot of propaganda these days..... Q: Is the Matrix real?

I did. I went MQ case set, so no stock engravings. Asked DB to send it to a guy in the states and it is on its way back to CN. Awesome to hear the good fortune on the parts hunt. That rarely happens. I am still looking for the perfect insert:(

Why does Tapatalk continue to do updates that suck??? IMHO it gets worse every time they attempt to improve it. I wish I could go back about 5 versions. This latest fiasco crashes on me constantly. I generally spend more time on the forums on my phone than on my computer.

@Mendota Explorer - depends on the fit, generally minor filing/sanding of the sides and the curve that connects to the case. Bending the tabs on the bottom side so it fits better. On the 1016 case it was almost a perfect fit stock, just needed the slightest amount of sanding on the inner part of the curve to sit better on the case. On the 5513 opened up the tabs a touch to get a better fit, very light sanding of the curve. On my 6538 HR case I sanded the side of the end links a touch and opened up the tabs. Very minor tweaking. Oh and re brushed them....

I like them especially for the cost. Oddly enough they seem to fit everything quite well. Just a little tweaking. Used them on my 1016, 5513, 6538 and a 16750. Fit better than the rep links that came with the bracelets.

Looks like yours may get completed before mine. My fault decided I wanted custom engravings so that took another few weeks......looking forward to seeing yours completed.

Yep, Spring bar broke on my gen 16613 and she took a nice tumble. Rashed the bezel and insert a touch. She was 12 years old when it happened so it added some character to her.

I looked at Phongs complete builds when researching build plans on my 6538. Nice, but I knew a few of the parts I would want genuine. For that kind of money total satisfaction should be the goal. So while a nice piece, my thought was that I would have to replace the crystal, crown, insert and bracelet with gen so decided to do it from scratch. Not to mention there is a much better dial and hands option. As CC stated, plan on 5K for a starting point and if you add a genuine bracelet and insert that increases quickly...Good luck

Similar to other posts. Had an old one and one from last year. Both needed modification to accept 2mm bars. The second one I buggered up which lead to the idea of actually modding it to make it more gen like on the connection to the case. Trying to modify a gen like tab on the last link to connect to the end link so it will clear the case and lay flat.
