not to discourage you, but i ruined two watches early in my collecting days by trying to do a simple mod. i now leave everything up to the professionals. just my $0.02. good luck with whatever you decide.

funny you posted this gran. i've been wondering recently if there is such thing as a sweeping quartz movement. it reminds me of the old school clocks, although i think they were powered by electricity rather than a battery.

just like the title says ... i'm not liking the "this post has been edited by wheaton26" tag (see below) showing up now when i mark something as sold or correct a spelling mistake. as a vip, i enjoyed being able to update and correct posts cleanly. any chance of going back to the old way? i can understand why it's there for regular members, but it was a nice perk for the vip and platinum members. either way, thanks for listening.
