Cats,
Welcome to the MBW family. The watch looks great and the photographs are terrific also. Have fun with your modifications and if you need any help let me know. I'm a total Rolex noob as well.
Best, vlydog
I am just a people watcher in general but watch spotting is lots of fun too. Saturday night, during dinner out, I noticed a 112 from forty paces away.
Confirmed during a brief chat with this gent as we were leaving.
Hello all,
I have a set of Gen 580 end links but is there anything else that can be done to this bracelet to bring it closer to the real thing?
I am sure a Gen clasp would help but my budget is wearing thin.

Sounds like the same guy I bought mine from. Same parts, same price, same story. He first said it would be two weeks turn around on the bezel insert but it showed up just two days later with the tropic. Send me a PM if you want to compare notes. I asked him point blank if the parts were Genuine and he said yes.
I should clarify my initial post. I am not looking for "glowing" lume shots but pictures of how the hands and indexes appear in daylight. The ones that I have seen, so far, have a slight yellowish brown appearance.
I am at stage one, hunting and gathering, for my first vintage Rolex modification project; a MBW Great White. Part of my plan for modifications includes a custom mix vintage style lume. I have been culling through past posts but would love to see what you have in the way of vintage sub dial shots. Fire away!
I have found a source for a new Genuine Rolex bezel insert. The seller wants 95usd and he says, "It will be new luminova."
Considering this will go into my MBW 1665 GW project, is this a mistake?
