  1. Planet ocean again on sunday!
  2. +1 Jkay! great advice!
  3. not sure how hard you were searching but after 1 min of searching I found this:
  4. are you kidding.... Naeems... do you have a problem using the search function? it seems like every post you put up has to do with you requesting that everyone explain you something that has been discussed on the forum THOUSANDS of times before. I don't ever have a problem helping out a member in need, but do a little work for yourself and discover the beauty of this community. Putting up a post everytime you ahve a simple question is not the best way to go about it. Many people have put in a lot more time in to this forum to make it easier for people like you to get the answers you're looking for. Use the search function and save us all some time. PLEEASE!
  5. Can't get the bezel insert without buying the complete bezel assembly from offrei or cousins. Loose bezel inserts are pretty hard to come by on their own, but ocassionaly they pop up on ebay
  6. Not having to do mods is great, but you SHOULD DEFINITELY get your watch serviced at some point. This is not a "mod" but a general maintenance point. Whenever we talk about "best out of box" reps here, we speak about them purely in the phyical appearance aspect. Mechanics and movements are always better to be serviced, especially chrono graph movements In regards to your other question, yes, it's common policy to pay before you get any pics. QC pics are a bit of legwork for many of the dealers, as they have to go to the factory, pic out a watch, take pics of it etc. Mary from puretime sometimes doesn't ask for payment before pics, but i guess it depends on the dealer.
  7. absolutely beautiful!.. I want a flying tourbillon! anyone know if our modders here will work and service tourbillon movements?
  8. my friend dropped his GEN tag Carrera on his bathroom floor. A 3 foot drop and his SWISS 7750 has stopped. He's got to pay to get it repaired now. It's not a question of asian or A7750 movements.. watch movements are simply not designed to take a lot of shock
  9. Hey guys. Haven't had the priviledge of starting a wrist check in well over a year probably! (not really quite sure when the last time was) Anyways.. I'm actually about to go to bed, but since I just finished retouching some photos.. thought I'd share with you guys that I'll be wearing my lightly frankened UPO!
  10. Not sure about the swap.. You could contact francisco about it though. Do you have new hands to put on the swiss 7750? Swiss 7750 have a different sized hand stack than the Asian 7750 movement. It's possible to modify asian hands to fit the swiss handstack though. As far as a servicing. He's VERY reasonable. I won't tell you how much I paid, but between 50-100euros for a full breakdown service of a 7750. (can't beat the price really). He might charge even less than 50euros for servicing an ETA movement. I can't say enough good things about francisco! Only problem is that he might be very backed up with projects. Watchmaking is not his job and he often travels, so if he has time to work on your watch, great. But sometimes's he's had to turn me down because of too many projects etc. I recommend you contact him and ask. Let me know if he's busy and I can refer you to another watchmaker that's very good here in spain. -Fender
  11. Looks really nice
  12. a 45.5mm planet ocean is "over the top"? If james bond wears it.. then I think it should be automatically discounted as "over the top"! The Planet Ocean is a classic watch that's very understated in many regards. The smooth lines, thinner profile and polished/brushed contrast make it an excellent all around sports watch. But it certainly is NOT over the top. A good club watch might be an Audemars Royal Oak Offshore or an IWC Big Pilot.. But NOT a Planet ocean!
  13. haha. I wonder if this is Puretime's version.. or the cartel version!!!
  14. welcome partner! you've found the right place. What's in your current collection????
  15. Credit card or debit card works with paypal. The money has to come from somewhere.. what's the problem with using your credit card on paypal? it's either that or your bank account information......
  16. Update here: trevor's site is back up and running again. The address is: www, trevortime, info
  17. looks great, but I already have a franken UPO
  18. thanks for the response val.. just now seeing this! I'll keep you guys informed as to what my friend decides to do
  19. now let's see those pics!
  20. The 45.5mm is a BIG watch, but I love the look of it on my wrist. I've got 6.75in wrists (17.1cm). I like the way it fits, although the pictures make it look bigger than it actually sits on my wrist. The 45.5mm is a BIG watch, but I love the look of it on my wrist. I've got 6.75in wrists (17.1cm). 21. ahhhh.. makes sense! in that case.. the ar.. is only single sided.. and not of great quality.. at least the current versions...
