  1. Can't be too careful on this forum.. there's some members here with spectacular cars.. "Exper" has a Lamborghini.. "Veyron" has a Bugatti and seems as though "t-man" has got a ferrari
  2. My sympathies and condolences for you and your family, The struggle never ends does it.?? If there's anything positive that you can take out of the experience, by all means, snatch it up and run with it.. and don't ever stop. Communiities exist to help one another out in hard times, and you're online community here is here to support you in any way that might be necessary. Stay as positive as possible and push through positively to the next struggle that you'll surely encounter at some point in the future. The key is not asking "why" something is thrown in your path, but how to get over the obstacle. You'll never know the why part, you'll just have to be prepared to use your ingenuity to get over the next log thrown in the road. Keep your head up marty! You've got positive energy being sent your way from Madrid, SPAIN. HOpe you get it!
  3. beautiful t-man!
  4. don't think so. The 300m comes with plexi crystal and is a vintage watch.. It was produced during the 70s. Not sure that you can find it with factory AR as a rep. Probably more worth it to buy and get it ARed yourself
  5. concepta... don't you have a wedding to get ready for!!!! ?
  6. The watch watcheden just suggested below looks great to me. All ceramic and not much more expensive than the other model!
  7. Beautiful watch. Even more than that though.. I LOVE your pool! where do you live!? Looks quite inviting. Madrid is wicked cold right now!
  8. I was kidding. I saw go for it. If you don't like the way it feels or looks afterwards, sell it!
  9. congrats. very beautiful!
  10. reported!
  11. I'm not an AP expert.. and the photos aren't that great either, but it could very well be a gen. If there was a dead on side profile shot we could take a look at caseback thickness.. but not possible here
  12. haha.. yeah a somewhat ridiculous explanation! It's kind of stupid that he made it sound like they decided to not do it only on this specific model, when panerai doesn't outercoat any of their models! Thanks for the compliment.. but i'm really not that knowledgeable.. just as knowledgeable as RWG has made me!
  13. Isn't this a repeat thread? You just asked this exact question yesterday. Why open a whole new thread on it? search search search search search.....
  14. Don't do it... it will look absolutely horrible on you!! don't doo it!
  15. looks good to me.. although, If I were you I'd opt for a ceramic model instead of a stainless steel with PVD coating
  16. reported.. but hopefully we're not wrong!
  17. Matt is mainly responsible for building up my courage to work on my UPO. Great member!
  18. As with all panerais.. the GEN Ferrari does indeed have AR, It's one sided internal Anti-Reflective coating. The panerai website lists all of it's watches as having this coating. If the AD didn't know this, then he's simply unknowledgable. The reason for not coating the outside is purely to prevent AR erosion. Aesthetically AR does enhance the look of the dial but more often than not, the AR coating will not outlast the life of the watch itself. AR shows fingerprints and scratches fairly easy. It's a fairly new idea in the watch world and many companies are reluctant to even use it, since many of the companies that do use it, suffer complaints from customers about the coating getting scratched. I know several omega and IWC owners that have removed the outer coating simply because it became to scratched or blotchy after long periods of regular use. Panerais also tend to shy away from AR since many of their models have slightly domed crystals and leave the crystal even more exposed to possible bangs.
  19. Doubt it. Appears to be same case and crystal with a corrected logo. Only time will tell about the crown tube but my hopes are low about that!
  20. The dial without the happy feet. I asked him if he'd be willing to sell me just the dial or logo and he said probably not for a 2-3 months.
  21. haha... awesome
  22. A new version of the UPO was released last week WITHOUT happy feet I'd wait to buy it until we have a review up on the board from B.diddy or one of the other members that has already bitten the bullet.
  23. If you want, I can install the tube and crown for you for pennies. (I'm located in madrid).Otherwise it's a very simple mod, it's scarier thinking about doing it than the actual process itself. The bezel swap is NOT a simple matter. As it requires machining in order to maintain functionaility, or cementing to keep the bezel from moving. But the gen bezel does not fit the rep. Don't recommend you do it, since it's a quite expensive mod. The bezel insert for me is the last thing that would give away the UPO. A GEN dial is a much better investment for the money if you'd like to do something apart from the (HIGHLY NECESSARY) crown and tube mod. PM me if you want me to install the crown and tube for you.
  24. not feeling it AT all.. but if you like it you like it!
  25. that 42mm looks more like a 45mm on your wrist! nice work!
