  1. No gold for Freddie? It's not for everyone. I'll admit I've cooled down on gold lately.
  2. "Transformer" GMT from BK. Bought from another member. Date was aligned way too high in the date window but BK fixed it for free. Also have a black/red bezel that pops on. Daytona from Josh. Running at -1 second per day (so fare). The red highlights are much more subtle than I thought. Feels high quality. TT Sub from 20babies (must be a story behind that name). "Maria's Best Watch" model.
  3. Blue. Who can resist that deep blue dial? Wardrobe wise (for those of us that think of such things), I think the black is more versatile.
  4. If you have to have it right NOW get the Asian. Otherwise, wait for the ETA to be available again. I think it's worth the extra $100.
  5. Phew. I just bought a MBK from a member on RG. I like how you word the "feel" of a watch. This is important to me. I would opt for the one that "felt" more expensive/substantial. Any idea about the weight of the watches? How close are they to the gen?
  6. Gotcha. Understandable. Overall, this watch has top notch. How many replicas run at +2 seconds a day? a fabulous watch. Very gen-like.
  7. Hmmm..... info I could have used before I got my watch. Here's another tip. If the watches stops running despite being well charged, run the hands through several days worth of revolutions. Josh says this "clears the needles", whatever that means. It works, though. Also, mine doesn't seem to like the winder. It was running +2 seconds a day all week. I put it on the winder Thurs-Sun. I put it on this morning and noticed it had picked up 2 minutes. After resetting the time it stopping running and could not be restarted until I did as Josh said. I will definitely not be fiddling with the hour hand.
  8. I would assume the movement would be the same as in other Asian GMTs. Nothing new there. I had one that was fussy at the start: it would stop and start, the hour and minute hands would stop while the second hand kept moving, etc. I set it aside for a month or two, picked it back up, and it ran perfectly after that.
  9. Funny this. I was on-line and noticed, an hour after the announcement, that the watch was for sale. I immediately ordered it and got one of the 1st run. If I had be doing something "normal" I would have been reading about the watch with everyone else. Can't say enough for it. It's a great watch, replica or not.
  10. One other thing I noticed is that the bracelet has the "comfort link" found on the gen. It's hidden in the clasp. It comes in handy if you bloat up at the end of the day, perhaps after downing too many Corona's. Whip that little extension piece out and your hand stops turning purple. It's gained 12 seconds in 36 hours.
  11. It is a bit thinner, now that I look. The caseback does not protrude as much. It's not a big difference, but it's there. Josh said he would send a new bracelet.
  12. Now it's running. Maybe the movement needs a little time to "break in"?
  13. All three hands move smoothly. Push the crown in one position and turn it counter-clockwise and the hour hand jumps or "clicks" from hour-to-hour.
  14. Yes. I S L O W L Y manually wound it. If I shake it the second hand moves 2 or 3 seconds, then stops. I think I'm going to stop playing with it for a while.
  15. Yes, that's exactly how it works. But it's quit running!
  16. The bezel appears to be a thin layer of ceramic. I could be wrong. The fonts appear gray to me. Sadly, now that I've fiddled with the watch for a half and hour, it seems to have stopped running.
  17. Now that I've fiddled with it for a few minutes, I see that the hour hand does jump when I set it. The GMT hand does not jump hour-to-hour, though. Josh's description must be incorrect, then.
  18. Confirmed that the bezel clicks 24 times around the dial, not 12 as per Josh's web site. Also, the GMT hand does not "jump" an hour, also as per his site. Hmmm . . . Something's fishy about this watch.
  19. Here's something interesting. The GMT hand cannot be adjusted. When I pull the crown out to the 2nd position and attempt to adjust the GMT hand, the hour hand moves. Turning the crown the opposite direction changes the date. The date clicks over when the hour hand moves to 12 a.m.
  20. Forgot the pictures of the clasp, inside and out:
