  1. This arrived today. Bezel insert sits nice and low. Very nice. Close ups of bezel and insert: Rolex-Rolex-Rolex: Bracelet is big, Should fit 8" wrist. I removed a link and adjusted the clasp to fit my 7
  2. Got my wife one of these. When I told her what I had ordered, she said, "huh"? But she loves it. It's quite th conversation piece. She shows it to all our patients and blabs about it endlessly. The best thing? It distracted her so that she didn't notice the new "ceramic" GMT and BK Transformer GMT I just bought. All is good in repland.
  3. Guy on RWG1 said Josh told him $400. Looks damn good to me!
  4. I sold my 036 from Ruby and a Cali dial with an HKTan custom strap to finance some Rollies. I wear my SlyTech to the gym but rarely wear the 127 or Black Seal anymore. Mostly Rolex now. Last month, Breitling.
  5. Not daily. Weekly. I think the FM's look great on women: Her classic Rollie: A YM, but not a good copy: She has a few watches, but not as many as I do.
  6. You can see me in the back of the limo? I was supposed to be at a conference . . .
  7. Here's a couple of shots of my wife with her Sub: Lots of women are wearing men's Rolexes now: Daytona's are particularly popular with the fairer sex.
  8. Today (Thurs) and, no doubt, some time this weekend: I'm also thinking about this one:
  9. Silix. I've been told that on EVERY order. He/she told me that on a SS Daytona, then sent me one with a "running-hours-at-nine" dial and gouged crown guards: Plus, look at the "3" on the dial: (Already deleted the crown guard pics.) I sent the "QC'ed" watch back and they did send me a new one, a different Daytona. But the replacement was the wrong one! I have to laugh every time someone posts that Silix told them the first watch didn't pass QC. Used to make me feel good, like they were actually checking the watches. Until I got the Daytona. It was a shame. The 1st seconds-at-nine Daytona I got from Silix is one of the best made replicas I own. Different "factory," I guess.
  10. You can see the misaligned "1"--too low in the window. A nice rep that feels good on the wrist!
  11. This one today: Either one of these tomorrow:

    SNOW!

Brrrrrrr....... Here in Central CA, we're looking at 85 tomorrow. Gonna catch some rays!
  13. Three sons: 2 current Eagles, 1 soon = 3 (hopefully) Me? I hated scouting. Knots? Camping? Gimme a hotel. It's great for boys.
  14. That's good for a birthday, or any other day. I got to spend Sat. with my Eagle Scout and my soon-to-be Eagle in Monterey: A couple of clowns, but good guys.
  15. The BCE is a big, thick watch. It doesn't look right with a thin, dressy strap on it. Wait. Let me check my English/Canadian dictionary . . .
  16. Croc straps are at the top of my list. Seen some gorgeous ones for not that much change. You want to walk the fine line between dressy and casual. A watch this size shouldn't have a shiny strap. It would look tacky. A matte croc or alligator.
  17. Thanks, gents. I'm looking for a good replacement for that strap. I need something longer and, well, not a rep strap. Any tips?
  18. Newest addition to the collection. A fantastic replica! The rep strap is passable until I find a suitable replacement. Great power reserve: about 2 days. Starts up with a few gentle shakes. See the light-blue AR? Nice. "Bling" for guys that are afraid of real bling. Bought it from Sead for $330. Then I see Lawrence has it for under $300. Oh well.
