  1. Overhyped or not, I've always wanted to try absinthe.

So my soon to be (5 days away) wife had her bridal shower this weekend. I helped her make a huge punch bowl full of sangria for the occasion. Those girls didn't drink hardly any of it, so it wound up back in our fridge. I've drank a good gallon of it over the past two days, drinking the last cup as I type this. wine, fruit, brandy, etc. headache be damned, can't let a good beverage go to waste.

No longer my thing, I used to enjoy some herbal blends with my beverages. Some really good vodka from holland called bong vodka came out. I made a souvenir out of one of the bottles. Tasty tasty. :victory:

  2. Sorry im a little new to the rep game. When u say you got it serviced where did you go how much does it cost? I dont understand how getting it serviced can make it go from 8 hrs reserve to 30 hrs.

Hey man, good to see you on the boards! :thumbsupsmileyanim: A personal friend of mine!

All mechanical movements need servicing. Mechanical auto's, hand wind auto's... [censored] besides quartz. its a bunch of springs and gears that make it work. So, like an engine, it needs to be tuned to run optimally. Our reps from China have the potential, they just havent been tuned/serviced.

Swiss watch house movements are doted on before they leave the factory. A rep being "serviced" by a watchsmith/maker, gives it that personal attention. The kind that gen Breitling Super Avenger of yours would've got before it went to the AD. :whistling:

  3. My buddy got one from Trevor who's approved over on RWI, it was the best case version with the larger size and engraved rehaut, good hue to the green AR. Anyone here could get it for you, just make sure its the larger sized case with non-painted rehaut engravings. If you've had a few faulty watches from Josh, try someone else. Marvellous replica has done a superb job, another RWI dealer, who i'd really like to see over here on RWG. I would highly recommend communicating with him, get some real, actual, quality control.

  4. Nice call on the Penfolds my friend! Definitely want to give it a try before you hand out bottles of it for your wedding! :thumbsupsmileyanim: I've always been a big fan of it! Especially their Cab/Shiraz blends

Thats exactly what it is, very good taste!

these pictures are from last year while preparing for a hurricane. after locking down my shutters and cutting down some loose branches and coconuts, i enjoyed the fruits of my labor with a coconut mamosa. thankfully the hurricane did not hit us directly. cheers.

    Nice! That looks tasty!

  5. For those of us that indulge in a drink once or twice (or more) a week. I bring you what I hope to be...

Just a simple post of what you've selected to kick back with for the evening will suffice. There is no timestamp on this thread, update at will, and often!

Maybe you're enjoying a fine hand rolled cigar or hand rolled what-have-you with your cocktail?

Maybe you feel like posting a pic, maybe including the watch you wore today? Don't have to, but you can! :)

Enjoy, post, elaborate, ramble on in a drunken stupor if it serves you well. (How do you think I got my post count?)

I open the thread with a special bottle of wine. An inexpensive bottle of Penfolds. Better than most wine twice its price to my uneducated palette; I purchased a case of it to have at my wedding. I usually drink rum, vodka, or beer. This bottle is the first from the case, a taste test for my wedding 8 days from today. The bottle is almost gone. So if I may, Here's a toast. To RWG! and if I may, to my up coming wedding! Salute!

So, what are you drinking? :drinks:

  6. I am buying myself a birthday present. I want to get myself a nice new vintage rolex. Does anyone have any good suggestions for a nice rep under $150? I wouldent mind a GMT master. I already have 2 Seadweller 1665's. im thinking about just buying another one of josh's 98$ ones because i like it so much. Let me know what you guys think i should get.

Those under $100 new vintage watches are very interesting for the price. I was going to suggest that, but you have one.

  7. WOW thats beautiful

    Its a gen right?

    :evil2:

Thanks M, yes you are correct, gen. Not too much wrist time lately. Feels small since i've been wearing the '50 and Skyland so often.

Thanks BT, had some Zig magic in a full strip down and service, dial relume and Chief's famous sauce to finish it off!!

    Sixx :bones:

Don't forget the cool tats. 8)

  8. What's your wife/girlfriends/SO favorite watch in your collection?

Michelle favors my skyland on stainless bracelet. "pick my watch today" is predictable, however now that she has the Tag, she'll pick mine sometimes so we match. She likes the Panerais', too.

This thread started from a random thought... Women are attracted to Panerai watches. I don't know what it is, but they LOVE em.

  9. Fantastic! You've just won me over. I don't own a Ferrari so I don't think I deserve to own this watch, but it's a beauty. The AR and lume is a fantastic touch, a little trip to the spa puts the cherry on top. Spectacular pictures! What is that backdrop? Carbon fiber Ferrari something or other?

Woh. I feel embarrassed posting this stock 127 now, but i'll do it anyway! I don't mod my Pam's, the flaws don't really bother me like they would on other watches. Just a good strap and i'm good to go, this particular one is courtesy of Savagestraps.

  11. I won a contest on RWI, which allowed me to work with Scot @ Savagestraps.com to design any strap my heart desires. Huge thanks to Hooligan, Scot & the crew over at RWI for the awesome strap for my new '50 (I hate saying fiddy. It reminds me of 50 cent. Great guy and all, just don't like associating my timepieces with him.)

Package arrived damaged. My vision was red around the edges when I saw this crap and the big "WE CARE" excuse they slap on it after they played soccer with it.

  12. Good early Sat. morning. I'm spending the morning with my son who's a HUGE eater. Looks like he wants to reach his dad's height and weight in a record time. We wonder what happened to that pretty boy in the hospital... now he looks more like a shot put thrower. :D

He got greetings from our Italian friends too.

I'm actually wearing this right now.

Look at the little booboo!!! Got bigger already!

(I typed this reply already... no idea where it went.)

wearing the SFSO today at the request of a new RWG member/coworker Antstar24. After seeing By-Tor's reviews he just had to see one in person! So the SF today because of BT & Antstar!
