  1. Panerai... I think I agree with most that I don't understand the desire/need to own all the variations. I also don't understand why people pay $5k+ for a handwind model - wtf? // I'd hope for something that was bombproof, waterproof to the centre of the earth and was lumed like the sun!!

My Casio was $50, 200m waterproof, loses 1 second a year, and has two LED lights AND lume. However, it just doesn't do it for me like a Pam!

B&R, I mean.. I like the concept. But it makes me think "Wow look! Its JUST like an aviation guage!"... To the point where it looks like it was yanked out of the cockpit and should have wires hanging out the back!

  2. Pshaw, 120 degrees is nothing! I cooked my ancient MBW in the blazing hot sun in Okla-stinking-Homa for days on end, to the point the case was so hot I couldn't hold it in my bare hand. It was easily 200 degrees. The dial went a little chocolate (cocoa crispies?) but everything stayed intact and it still works like a champ.

I've had it in my mind that it's time for another watch torture test.

  3. I'm not wealthy .. just lack other vices..

though remembering your issues with the A7750.. don't blame ya.. but the eta 7750's have really come down in price to below 300usd if your patient..

Thats a solid route to go. Chrono's are nice, just expensive "keepers". Consider I have just one (Skyland V3) and it needs $200 servicing the day it arrives + cost of watch.. :black_eye:

    Great watch though Lani :drinks:

  4. The rubber kind've puffs out on my small wrist, too. If I had to get just one, it would be bracelet by far. As far as leather, I like the deployant more than a normal buckle.. Looks like i'm just not going to be much help on this one. :black_eye:

  5. I had just finished reading that last little tidbit you wrote at the same time business matters suddenly called at work. I had to swallow my outburst of laughter very unnaturally, and now I feel like I broke a vein in my throat or something.

Can't see the pics here at work, will have to get a peek at the little guy after work in the relaxation of home.!

  6. Today's my first wedding anniversary, muchachos :tu::drinks:

In honor of this, I'm wearing the watch my bro Sixx generously gave me as wedding present :)

As the first year is traditionally a paper gift, this is what I made for Emily...

In town, I treated Project Daytona to some new shoes, all it needs now, is a Rolex buckle :yeah:
