  1. Damn.. that TT has the killerlooks. Don't want to say I told you so... SuperB. The brown strap looks perfect on it.
  2. All my Asian 7750s do the exact same... weird I know. I just set the time 1 minute in advance bepore pushing the crown.
  3. I hate the keyless works.... I also find it very tricky to insert the stem back into the movement, any movement!
  4. Great choice! I also own a gen SF. Have a look at my signature.
  5. Well despite VEPTU it still looks pretty damn good I tried Ebay but most have fake pictures and one seller (from Germany) sells the same gold VEPTU at different prices...... smells fishy
  6. Looks good... I'm planning on doing the same!
  7. Hi, I came across this site. They sell replica VERTU phones. They look pretty nice IMO. Is there someone who already owns or owned a VERTU replica? I already asked Andrew and he said: "The quality is lousy". If the quality was okay I really woud like to own one! Opinions or thoughts on the subject?
  8. Great post Pug... as always There's 1 thing I don't understand though. Did you remove the hands and reinstall them after you noticed the hands were not aligned at midnight (date change)? Or did you give them a slight tap to lign them up (hope this makes sense)?
  9. I ordered the BCE 3 times (different dealers)... all were crap. Movement problems, dial problems (paint), clasp problems etc.... CRAP all CRAP. No more reps for me in the near future... I'm saving money for a gen Breitling Skyracer!
  10. Hmmm.... so it can't be pushed back into place?
  11. Thanks The Zigmeister, I ordered a hand removal tool to do it right but for now I tried to push it back in position. The hand does move but after I release the hand it jumps back in the wrong position ( 5 past 12).... like it is spring loaded. Also won't this affect the internal gears etc....
  12. Hi, A friend of mine has a Navitimer (rep) with a chrono second hand that slipped (yes, the most common problem with chronographs)... Can I just uncase the movement and push the hand back in position (in reset mode) or do I completely remove the hand and put it back on in the right position.... I already gently pushed the chrono second hand but I felt some resistance.... I don't want to break anything Thanks guys!
  13. www.The Zigmeisterinfo.com... but seems out of order at the moment.
  14. No drop shipping is absolutely no guarantee for a decent rep or a good QC! I ordered several watches with several non-dropshipping dealers and all had problems of some sort. The problem is that dealers like PT, Homer and several other non-dropshipping dealers have to order these high-end reps from China. So they themselves depend on people in China to pick out a decent quality rep for them..... which the dealer eventually will offer you. So let's say the dealer receives the rep from his supplier in China in good condition but it has a small paint spot on the dial or scratched hands?..... do you think A. He sends it back or B. He sells is? From my experience I can tell you that answer B is the correct answer!
  15. Take it to your local jeweler.. it's a 5 Euro test.
  16. I'm thinking of buying this one for my GF..... looks pretty nice IMO.
  17. $718 for the new HBB black magic... we are still talking about a crappy Asian 7750 and a coated steel case. So what it has a ceramic bezel... you don't pay $200 for a porcelain cup at walmart do you? The only difference is that it's made from a different clay (gres) and baked at a different temperature. The bezel is 100th of the amount of clay that goes into a cup... so why pay so much extra $$$$$ ? But most important, for that kind of money there shoud be a decent QC..... not a role of the dice whether or not your watch looks and functions the way it should. I will never spend more on a rep than $300.... for $718 you can buy a beautifull second hand SuperOcean or Tag.... and even second hand a gen is still better finished than a rep. My 0.002
  18. I'm waiting for a new EVO dial so I also would love to have some info about removing the dial. How do the clamps look like and how do I release them? (pics?) I searched the entire forum and read almost all of The Zigmeister's posts but I'm not able to find any info on the matter. Thanks! PS: Wat's the best way to install the hands after the dial swap? I've read that there are tools out there that easily scratch the hands...
  19. Thanks for the info Zig! I will send it back. By the way I noticed something today. Everytime I hand wind the rotor spins. So I turn the crown 1 turn and the rotor also spins 1 turn. I dont's know the exact ratio but you can feel the rotor spin with every turn......so you're probably right with the click wheel for the autowinder (I didn't expect different off course)! Damn I hate does watchmakers (no offence Zig). You never know what they do to your watch. It's like bringing your car to the garage for maintenance. The only thing you can do is believe they did their job right!
  20. I had my Asian 7750 BCE serviced by my local watchmaker. I got it back today and it runs like a charm. But hand winding is really though (if that's the right word for it). Is this normal or should I go back? Thanks!
  21. Nice to see you back Amplitude. I hope you and Zig will get along now and keep contributing to the forum!
