  1. Intriguing....! My package arrived in fine time by the way! Thanks Eddie, watch is great and came very well presented too!! (like your girl by the way, but I guess we all do )
  2. This one for me - although I sense a change coming...
  3. That's a nice watch although I'm not sure how much you could pick up a gen for - if you can even pick up a gen of that... If you want something simple and that doesn't cost 10k for the gen why not get some thing like this I have one and I love it - although not exactly the same, and I have changed to a different strap (from Andrew/Trusty). Also, Andrew will waterproof and service watches for you at a very competitive rate if you wish to do so. This is mine...
  4. That was an excellent thread and well worth reading if you haven't seen it before.
  5. Excellent! This started off as a great informative thread and it has turned into a great hilarious thread, I've been cracking up! I only hope that the remaining deliveries I'm waiting for from Andrew come with piano's attached!!!
  6. As Catherine Tate would say ...... "Am I bovvered?" NO!!! Apols for those outside the uk who don't know Catherine Tate - very funny comedienne....
  7. They're actually quite prevalent (SIM copying devices) here in the UK - A lot of people get them, but only after they've lost their phone or had it stolen and all their contact details with it. I back all mine on to my PC and copy it into my hotmail account to be doubly sure!
  8. My 112h appears to have the same fault - and you know what, I had never noticed it before! And what's more, I don't care. It's a beautiful watch, nothing will make me change my mind (which doesn't of course mean that I won't buy any more!!).
  9. Agree with that, apart from my Rose Gold PAM 231c of course!
  10. You guys crack me up!
  11. Shame I have my avatars blocked! Seriously what an [censored] though - First Eddie, now Narika, what's going on? Let's just hope they are just idiots and nothing more.
  12. Great read overboosted, enjoyed that I must say!
  13. Hi Guys, Was sent a spam e-mail from thebigwatches.com - I thought I'd open it up for a laugh. Haven't been through it in too much detail but at first glance they don't seem like the typical cowboys charging $1,000 for a piece of [censored]. At least they have the decency to sell them a little cheaper, and offer a 3 year warranty for $40!!!!! Shouldn't really post this as it might give our dealers ideas to charge more for after sales service! http://www.thebigwatches.com/product_info....c99d9c3a73bbaf0
  14. Got mine yesterday! Will also take some pics soon but she's a beauty!
  15. a very nice group of collections there!!!
  16. sorry Gerco, your point is exactly what I'm talking about - reps are a product just like anything else. Better cheaper models are just around the corner. At least a rep seems to hold its value (in our shady little world) better than cars, cameras, computers etc....
  17. and booze , weed and charlie !! (only kidding of course........!)
  18. Absolutely, although I always dream of finding a gen for that price!
  19. cheers convbmw, I agree. To be honest if we start calling them products and not reps you start to think slightly differently. Any product whether it be a computer, digital camera, trainers (sneaker for our US brother and sisters!), tv, furniture, home appliances etc etc etc they all get updated continuously. By Bigsy's rationale we should neve buy anything because the mobile phone manufacturers haven't told us there's a new one coming out in a months time. Really, you wouldn't own anything if you took that attitude. I buy things because I like them and need them. My digital camera bought 1 year ago is now outdated. There are far more sophisticated models out there and guess what? They're all cheaper!!!! Am I going to write and complain to Nikon, Fuji - like [censored] I am!!! Like they'd listen!!! I bought my camera and I'm happy with it to this day. Exactly the same applies to some of the watches I have where better versions came out soon after I purchased them. That's life, and certainly not something to complain about to our dealers. Diego
  20. Bit of a likely story, not enough pictures for me to tell, although others are more experienced and have a better eye for detail. If it is real it's a great deal! http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/ROLEX-SUBMARINER-166...1QQcmdZViewItem
  21. me neither, but only because it's so fugly!
  22. i've never bought from ttk, however he is a member of these boards, and has his rough edges but does sound like some one i could share a coupl of cold ones with. you however are a different story! if you don't like this place, the dealers, the members remember you can always chose not to stay. and yes, i am very happy. i have a beautiful wife, a beautiful daughter and a beautiful home! I wish you half of what I have. :gro
