Sorry to hear of your bothers, Watchbuff. This is nothing a watchsmith can't regulate in a few minutes. I seriously wouldn't touch it, if I were you. However, remember my recent trouble with the DSN 112? When I was opening the caseback (with my fingers, some use a ball of "masking tape"), I had the bright idea of touching the regulateur, and moving it, in my effort to kick start it. Bad move. Though the watchsmith fixed it, when I got it back, it ran too fast. About 4 minutes gained per 12 hours. Drove me crazy. So I did a stupid thing. I opened the caseback again. Toyed with the regulator by ratchetting it up and down the regulator index (the hash marks at the tip of the dagger). Lo and behold, it keeps time perfectly. 2 days in a row... I don't suggest you do this though. Take it to a watchsmith.

Let him wait 24 hours, Nanuq. And Fedex him a Jubilee bracelet.

I swear I'm going to beat people over the head if they make this into a political thread. Where's my hatchet???

The PAM 127, the so-called Fiddy, has apparently reached the USD 20,000 level in gen forum sales areas. The Fidestro (as some people cheekily call the PAM 217, its lefty brother) is still around 11-12k. What a difference a crown guard side makes, eh?

That's the $64,000 question, Vlydog. Maybe St. Peter greets me at the pearly gates doing the Hokey Pokey. That would be cool.
-
NO WAY, Nanquq. First, RIP of course. But in that Finepics thread this weekend, I was about to post as my joke-reply, the lyrics to The Hokey-Pokey!! Without further ado, and with grateful thanks for one of the best dances invented: You put your left leg in You put your left leg out You put your left leg in And you shake it all about. You do the Hokey Pokey and you turn yourself around That's what it's all about!

To US RWG'ers: Is the 3.0 TDI available in the US, guys? I know nothing of cars, but when I Googled to compare prices (I am in the market for a new car edit: well new car for me; it can be used), the first links were all from the UK or Europe. EDIT: Just to make this a little on-topic, have you ever wondered what pics don't make the Wristchecks and why? Well, here's one of the Silix Rollie TT. Didn't make the grade.

It's a grey area, CC. Like my boyfriend's teenage fascination with Alyssa Milano. If I saw him with a wallpaper of her, I'd be a little taken aback, but okay with it. If I saw him actively seeking various poses, and plastering them all over the computer room...well, I'd start to worry. Perfect!

No, this isn't off-topic gritty icky politics area, this is the Humour area!! Quick, a joke! Hey did you hear about the 2 guys who walked into a bar, and the other guy quacked?
-
Yep, they catch it soon enough, thank God. I have the screenshots of people who altered Pope Benedict XVI and Maggie T's entries too. Kids these days.

I'm not shuah what's going on over theah, but somewhere out there, a very cold man on a bike in Alaska just drooled over his keyboard.
-
Heh, no. I'm just a Historian. But listen to me. I pontificated just after asking others not to, because I rose to the bait offered. Boo, bad Vic. Ken is right. Back to the kids -- or at least sending RWG Finns our best wishes. This can't be easy for their nation. If you're in the US, here is an email where you can send them your condolences (NYC consulate). finconny@ix.netcom.com

That's a shame. Your Wristchecks are missed! You already have some nice Omega reps. It all depends if you are satisfied with them, or not. If you can afford the $1000, why not, I say! Especially if you like the Welders. If, however, it would take away from your rep purchasing, get a nice Fiddy from DSN. Heck you could get 3 for that price. Don't forget that Silix SFSO special for under $300 currently going on, either!

Tell you what. Let's all take the VIP RWG Time Travel machine to, oh, I don't know, England circa 600 AD. Be prepared to: - Have your first born child sacrificed to get a better harvest - Die at the ripe old age of 21 (if you are one of the lucky ones to have survived childhood diseases. You had a 1 in 15 chance) - Be at the beck and call of the local lords and ladies, including giving any of your children into their service, at their discretion - If you're a woman, having a fantastic great chance of dying in childbirth, something you will undergo on average 6 times in your life - If you're a man, have a fantastic chance of dying in endless wars - Have no right to any of the freedoms we have guaranteed us - And generally stink, smell, reek since people only took a full bath once or twice in their lifetimes (usually for their wedding) Did I mention the endless horse plop you have to dodge? No? Ah, well. Yeah, I love the past. Take me back to 600 AD!! I especially want to go back as a peasant. That rocked!

I'm British. Just once I'd like someone to mention that young boys need to be targetted for mental instability issues by their parents and schools, and for overuse of violent video games, because they are the ones who commit these crimes. Young girls have access to guns too. Do we do this? No. It's not guns. It's mentality followed closely by behaviour.

I've seen people alter Pope Benedict's and Lady Thatcher's entries, but this it the first time I've seen them jimmy with Hillary Clinton's Wikipedia entry. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Hillary_Rodham_Clinton Don't see it? Let's just say that she's been around celebrating Halloweens for a good long while. (My mum is a fellow Scorpio, and asked me to re-check her DOB...) EDIT: And it's Hitlary, not hiltery. God get it right, you morons!

Ditto. RIP. I hope no one uses this thread to go on the anti-gun soapbox...

Mine is there, thank God. English may be my native language, Sssurfer, so I have no excuse for my poor spelling/grammar. Did you perhaps try to edit the wrong post? (don't laugh, that once happened to me!)

Eddieplatt, this is how post from China goes: Arriving in 1-4 Days: Light a candle, go on your knees, kill small animals at the altar of the Postal Gods. Arriving in 5-10 Days: Speedy Gonzalez, yay! Arriving in 11-20 Days: Par for the course. Arriving in 21-31 Days: Finally relaxes after biting nails checking EMS website every five seconds. Nothing for over 31 Days: Yep, start to worry just about now. ...you'll be fine. Good luck to you. Victoria

Hello, Yellomen? Who doesn't know that next year's models come out in September? Best time to buy a "car of the year" is around NOW. @Everythingape: Yipes, steep prices...my Canadian boyfriend is coming down to the US, to buy a car down here. It's about $15,000 cheaper than buying the same in Canada. "Free" health care comes with a price, people... EDIT: Wow! Is this right? The same car you mention, Ape, for U$70,000? http://www99.epinions.com/content_40113291...nkin_id=8003929

Yep. Steve was a long-haired hippie, who usually rode around on a hog with his hippie-chick wife and naked blond toddler son. You'd never know by looking at his skinny, po' white trash frame that he was a multi-millionaire... Why would anyone want to end their days in New Hampshire and Vermont, after having lived out their youth in Florida? What, we don't have apples here??

No problems! Victoria
