  1. First, good on you for coming back here and taking whatever is coming to you, good and bad. Given the calibre of people on RWG, I'll think you know there are a lot of people who, no matter how they have felt these months after your departure, are willing to give you every chance to restitute yourself. Ajoesmith has said as much, and I'm sure others will too. You're very lucky, you know. I know many another forum that wouldn't have given you this chance. Yes, it would've been preferrable if it hadn't come to that. If you had taken the bull by the horns and come back, facing the music out of your OWN, unprompted initiative, rather than have been outted as a reformed rep-owner at a gen forum, who had left others holding the baby elsewhere. But hey. We all need a little push now and again, don't we? None of us is perfect. Wishing everything ends well, since I have no dog in this fight. I just want to see people here suitably recompensed, and the atmosphere at peace. However, Mark, I WOULD be interested in knowing what prompted you to post on Risti in the first place? You must've known that there are dual members, both gen PAM owners, and lurkers who want to be at some point, who might've known about your problems on the fora before. Why did you take the chance? Or were you tired of not being involved in watch forums and decided to throw caution to the wind? It's an itch that sometimes needs to be scratched, I know. When you love watches, you want to be amongst your own.
  2. Perhaps from ABP (Atelier du Bracelet Parisien)? That's where mine is from. EDIT: Correction! It's from Camille Fournet. @Estaban: That looks SO beautiful. You must look very handsome wearing that!
  3. Here's Bobby Flay wearing that Gold DJ you spoke of, its_urabus! And the impeccably dressed (for an NBA game) Chef Flay near actor Nick Cannon. I wonder what the latter is wearing -- Silberstein? His lovely date has on a very nice Roadster. Here's Emeril again wearing that TT Rollie. Doesn't he look like Antonin Scalia in this pic? And Wolfgang Puck sporting what I think is La Bomba, the PAM 187. Whichever it is, he is faithful to that trend I notice in celebs, of wearing his PAMs with the provided straps (in his case, the PU rubber diver strap), rather than getting a nice aftermarket one.
  4. I wonder if men here feel they have to say things like that because the women present expect them to (somehow)? Let me be clear. I hate feminism. I hate when women get their knickers in a bunch whenever a man compliments a woman physically -- or even refers to a woman, physically. The only time I have ever been taken aback by any kind of "sexism" are about women-centric posts verging on the misogynistic. And also, as I have said before, when members post pics of their girlfriends in exhibitionist fashion. I find that a bit sad. God forbid my boyfriend ever does that to me -- I'd leave him on the spot. Other than that, speaking only for myself and not any of the RWG ladies, but Clive's Moto-Girl, Ajoesmith's avatar, Tech's avatar, and all the porn you can lobby in the Looney Bin is okay by me. I LOVED Pug's Nigella book. Anyone know if Amazon carries Nigella's t1t book? Oh right, they are all her t1t books.
  5. Wow, you watch as much Food Network as I've recently been watching the Travel Channel. Thanks for the info. I'll take a browse and see if I can come up with pics. This chef-thingie is a watch-rich topic!
  6. Excellent, thanks, Slai! I had to Google him, because I had never of him. Nice-looking chap. Don't you wonder where some of these chefs got their tastes in watches? Most of them are East Coasters, so the Panerais some of them have seem to be a late, Hollywoodesque influence. Here is a lady chef I cannot stand, Oprah's acolyte, Rachael Ray with her Madame Tussaud's waxwork. The wax dummy even has her trademark black J12!! Edit: Wonder if Tussaud's chose a Canal St rep to place on her wrist. ...for me, she's the anti-Nigella.
  7. Thanks FxrAndy. Remembering all who served, who died, who fought for us. Special thanks to the French volunteers in Normandy who visit my great-uncle's and other's graves once a month. Those who truly treasure freedom will never forget.
  8. I know. Thanks, Freddy! I saw that, yes. I was ViewImaging him too. He seems to be another WIS-Foodie.
  9. Wouldn't know a pot from a pan, darling. Only Guide badge I failed in was cookery. No, you're going to have to put your Neanderthal cap on, for a change.
  10. Not all of us. I'm marrying my boyfriend because of his nature, and he's marrying me for my brains. Of course, his being Italian helps, and my background doesn't hurt.
  11. Trust hyper-macho Gordon Ramsay to be a Breitling man. Nice BCE! But Jamie, try as I did to look for a photo, doesn't seem to be a watch guy. BTW, I like one of these guys, and really dislike t'other. I'll bet you'll never guess which.
  12. Ah well, that's all right then. You made it sound as if your only viewing criteria with women was youth, beauty, and sexiness. It's like liking men only because they have a full head of hair, nice abs, and a nice car. And we don't know ANY women like that in this world, do we? Times like these I'm so glad Hitler was a vegetarian.
  13. NO! I'll still coddle you though. And guess what, let's just say I can give Nigella a run for her money...ahem.
  14. Wow, thank God I'm not a man. I just can't imagine what it is going around basing likes and dislikes on looks or whether someone gets me randy. I could never have watched years of Parky or Benny Hill if that were the case. I know you're not shallow, Freddy. But this trait that men have never fails to make me raise my eyebrow. WHAT are you doing at Houston's as a vegetarian??? I greatly dislike vegans. Vegetarians are all right. My dad is one. So was his father -- in the 1930s... Me, red meat couldn't be bloodier for me to love it. As Patrick Henry said, "Give me red meat, or give me early cardiovascular disease!!".
  15. Your taste in watches AND women seems to be excellent, Mr. Pug. I have a huge woman-crush on Nigella. That voice. EDIT: I'm sure every man here knows exactly what Jay was thinking. Ahem, but to make it on-topic: Well. At least it wasn't the pink-dial Rolex DJ. I hate those... EDIT: And I see Nigella and I have similar tastes in rings. I have that exact emerald-cut aquamarine ring. What taste. What a woman!
  16. Times like this I really hate not having TiVo or a DVR. There I was, sitting on my sofa, clicker in hand when I pounced on my local PBS. On it was that semi-baldie, Italian mistress of pastas and ragus, Lidia Bastianich, hard at work in her kitchen when SUDDENLY! she turns her wrist to the camera, and what do I see? A full-sized pumpkin Omega Planet Ocean, on a beautiful deep orange croc strap!! Okay, her hands are too plump, and her arms too stumpy to be able to get away with it, BUT it reminded me of all the other watches I remember her wearing on her cookery show. Check it out: I do believe that's a Franck Muller Conquistador, a Tank Fran
  17. Boo, Kruzer00. I think it's been established that DSN's accessories after-the-fact () are badly conceived. I still like his logo buckle, but it's no where near being close to gen. In fact, amusingly enough, Greg Stevens' new Fatty Buckle (only a California boy would think of this Fatty Arbuckle hommage) resembles DSN's buckles so much, that I wonder if he took one to a ironmonger, and said, here copy this and slap GSD on it. Again, I love that kind of buckle, but I did smile when I got my new buckle from him. The boo comes in being the first reply and being negativo in tone. Men. GREAT PICS! Raymond. My God, so much eye-candy review today on RWG. Someone get me an insulin shot! (Not you DBR)
  18. I KNOW THAT, DBR (oops caps lock. Ah well, I'll leave it there). I just hate looking at that mush anyway. Hell, you hate them after 3 minutes. You can't fool me!
  19. Your reviews, and By-Tors, are one of the best things of being on RWG. So complete, so professional. A joy, every paragraph. My father has a Malte Vacheron and as a gen owner, it's interesting to reverse caps for a moment, and see how close to the original these makers can get them. Okay, the subdials are off, and thus the missing markers, as you say. Another great conjecture, which I have long thought the same, was that our collectors re-use the cases for one particular model to another, even though it's a different dimension altogether. But overall, tell me, who can fault the quality of this watch? AND it has a working chrono! Amazing. I find the price a little steep for my purposes, but I am very glad to hear that Watchmark has provided you with good service. I was considering purchasing one from him, but was scared since I had never heard of him (he sounds like another Andrew, IRT answering emails. A BIG plus for me). Now, when you say that in your part of the World no one knows VC, I find that very unlikely! The French may not look like they're looking or interested, but your average Frenchman IN MY EXPERIENCE, I rush to say, knows what a Vacheron Constantin is. They must be as impressed as I am. Great review, Pix. Comme d'habitude!
  20. Second only to the HBBs, my Crazy Hours makes women and kids stop in their tracks. EDIT: Except Norwegian German possiby gay rich Nazis. An uncharacteristic shot of me with closed fist. I find that kind of shot gross.

    Nice week!
  22. Yes please! Even Ola's lips, though it might surprise my parents when they pass by. BTW, is there an end-date to this contest? We want resolution!! (A little photography humour for ya)
  23. Don't see what you're saying, Kru, but I can imagine what happened. "# WHY WAS MY THREAD DELETED???? View entire thread - XXXX on Nov 10, 2007, 3:39 PM * Simon, if you had the courtesy to leave an email address I would tell you... - XXXX on Nov 10, 2007, 3:58 PM" BTW, the chickenturd pansy who outted me didn't have an email either.

Okay, I was waiting and waiting for the rep watch related content. Since I realise there is none, let me just say:  The UNDER NEAT totally threw me. I was like, "She's a neat freak? She cleans her bottom all the time? She's always in the loo -- what?". Oh God, the woman who took down the info not only got that wrong, but misunderstood the NEATH. HEHEHEHEHE.
  25. LOL! ... though. I can't imagine me ever being sarcastic about any enthusiasm or hobby my future hubby has. As long as it doesn't take milk money from our children's mouths and isn't drugs, booze or women, I'll coddle him.
