What's your favorite / best Davidsenjpn / DSN?

The bird what loved her dad, just like her brother Oedipus had it away with his mater. Dodgy family. -

Of you in your stringvest?? NO THANKS! I'd rather imagine you in your red coat, just like my dad when he was young. (Yes, I have an Electra complex, what?) -
Check again. If it says Timeconnection.biz on the inside of the strap, and you think it's a Toscana, hang on, because they used to sell Camille Fournets 4 years ago. It could be left-over (but very beautiful) hide! EDIT: Check this out, Estaban, guys. This is what TC sent me some time ago. I made a mistake up top. My Beavertail is a Camille Fournet NOT an APB. I'll correct that. And it seems that my glossy black beavertail is the equivalent of the TC1. Yours would be either the TC10 or TC14, if the hunch is right. A giveaway price!

He beats me too. In Davidsen's case he looks like a stringvestite. Not an ounce of hair on that bod! And yes, I'm woman enough to wonder what Andrew, Joshua, and them look like. I bet you Andrew looks elegant. -

I am constantly stunned by the low quality of shots offered by some collectors. Some verge on the deceptive (but in the good sense -- once I got used to it, I "compensated" in my mind for what I was about to get, because the pics looked crappy), or dilettante. DSN's pics...so-so. But for the money he charges, I'd certainly get professional shots done of my watches. Who can forget this lovely photo, showing a rather shadowy figure in the background? I called it The Ghost of Davidsen's Past. -

Well, so far we have two character references in Kruzer00 and b16a2 (who pleads for his post not to be responded to. Heh, some hopes). That's pretty good I'd say, given the weight of what was written, and the calibre of the gentlemen involved. I don't know if Mark will be trusted or not in future, but at least you know there are two people who stuck their necks out when this matter was still red hot, and called him "Friend". One should be so lucky. -

Hey! I was the one who suggested Maxi buy the Toscana Amber strap...and it looks GORGEOUS. Like they were made for each other. Oh my word YES. For me, on the next-to-buy-from-DSN, it's either the 232 or the 082. I think I want a change of pace with the Radiomir, but this is a no-brainer. BUY IT! Mrs. Andy will love it. (Goes great with "lady colour" straps, in case she likes those. I'm speaking specifically of whites, beiges, and light tans) EDIT: Don't forget to check the Daily Specials for a low-priced Amber. Not currently on offer though. http://timeconnection.biz/page/timeco/CTGY/Special -
BEAUTY! I have a few ostrich straps, none of which it turns out I like. Looks like chicken pox. But this is a lovely combo, Doc! Wear it well.

Newbie question: Were the 80s Pepsi Subs smaller? Aren't they all one size? Reason I ask is that the watch looks tiny on Selleck's wrist. Having IMDB'ed for his height, I see he and my father are precisely the same height. But dad's gen Sub covers nearly his whole wrist, and doesn't look small compared to this photo. Of course, men of similar heights can have different body builds, and Selleck's wrist could be very big, but still... @TMG: Yay! Lovely pic, is that watch yours?? I think I'll rip off your Che idea, giving it my own spin. Stay tuned.

I went with this one.

My current collection of straps... I believe I don't need anything else

I just got myself an A-series OEM Dark Brown Gator. I wonder if the colour won't be too like? Either way, if you have one, and Estaban has one, I HAVE to get the Aubergine! Thanks guys. -
Alan Furmans are an established discount jewelry/watch emporium. My mother has bought from them. I would say, research, but yes.

Actually, one of the theories (or shall we say, question as to motive) posed by Lanikai on top is interesting...hope you read that. I give the Admin team a lot of credit for not banning Mark outright. It shows a spirit of incredible fair play to allow someone the chance to defend himself, at a later date, given what happened. (Banning was the case with Smushed-Finger-Joe, as I call him, whose services were no longer required after many outrageous modding attempts, and with no show of contrition...) I'm sure he will. Now. -
Thanks for your (as ever) understanding, TeeJay! I read about the PVD PAM up top, wow! Not too sure brown straps would look best. I'll throw in a nice tan for it, unless you have one already. Would help enormously if you could take a shot of the straps you have now. As for the underwater shot, I am in awe. Check out the History of Underwater watches (a thread I started after you left) for a personal reason why. Either way, I can't wait! Be they underwater, or just regular. P.S.: Hey, anyone have underwater shots of their watches? Maybe one of you can start a thread??

Smokin Aces. Great Movie, great watch shots.

Brilliant! Thanks so much. I wondered ever since watching SA a few weeks ago. BTW, Jfreeman, didn't like it. It tried too hard to be a cross between the Vegas hipster elegance of Ocean's 11 (well Ocean's 13), plus incredibly some Keira Knightley "Domino" watch your back storyline. It even had some 007 and Sopranos into the bargain. And no, I'm not using my Vittorio de Sica/Luchino Visconti/Jean Renoir/Max Oph -

Good! I love payola. No, seriously though. This gentleman (a regular at TZ) "published" his Lange1 story in a standalone web version. Now he sold the rights to it to psst mag? He said he gave the rights only to TZ to reproduce the article. HMMM. He really should remove this link, if so. http://www.htexplained.com/watches/Lange1/review.htm Either way, cracking good story. I just thought it was a rather geeky WIS' thorough, but fascinating account of buying a Lange 1 at Cellini -- had no idea he was doing it for a published story! How do I get in on this racket? @TEEJAY: WELCOME BACK!! I see you reading the thread. Answer: not yet. Got a cold! More later!

Hey, that's a cheating Wristie! What's the story behind the shot, k2222? Friend come over and show you his Big Pilot? Very nice either way.
-
Yes, I recently linked to that story when llsteve80 was searching for a Lange1. That is, I just read your link, which jumped to page 5. If it's the story of the Denver, Colorado guy giving himself a 50th birthday present on a trip to NYC, staying at the Waldorf, then that's the one. GREAT story! Everyone should read it. Thanks Freddy.

Hey Defacto I didn't know you had a gen 210? You been holding out on us!

I cannot tell you how much being on this forum means to me. I hope never to foresake you for any gen forum, no matter what. Just now, I was at a gen forum and read with sinking heart the disgusting words aimed at the US Marine Corps. I won't relay what they said. It was diabolical in tone. I'm just thankful that those who have their reservations about these kinds of threads (and I know there must be some), have the decency to restrain themselves and not pile on needlessly. Having transgressed myself recently, I find that exceptional of you. Thanks guys. May you all have a restful Armistice/Poppy/Veterans Day.

Hear hear. I've always been fascinated by Thailand, and Thai culture. I'm very sorry they are known as the world's biggest whorehouse (pace Macao), because they have so much to offer, starting with a charming people... Psst. Awesome watch! I want.

Oh God, Giada! Another beautiful voice. Maybe her grandmother, Silvana Mangano, might've been more beautiful. But it should've been Giada de Laurentiis not that unrefined Italian elf, Rachael Ray, who Oprah should've propelled to the big time. Not a big watch person, I've noticed. But here she is wearing a...RADO?? Che carina.
