  1. Chronofighter = Screaming queen, in denial. Fiddy = I pity your partner, big boy
  2. No, not closed .... just moved to the humour section.
  3. The strap is retained by allen screws. So the "strap removal tool" is an allen key.
  4. Beautiful watch! Great pics, too. Thank you.
  5. Ken, for once we are almost in agreement. But the correct figure should be three or four. Or five or six... heck, why stop when you're having fun?
  6. I don't know about the font, but the dial print on my David Sen is the crispest, neatest, bestest of all my watches. And I have quite a few...
  7. Banda geniune crocodile and alligator:
  8. I have. Jos is not Andrew, nor vice-versa. However I can confirm that Willith and Demsey are an item...
  9. If she gripes, just smile sweetly and ask her how many pairs of shoes she has... Works for me.
  10. There could be an innocent explanation. PayPal is not available worldwide. There are some countries where it cannot be used.
  11. I received a Radiomir "California" from Joshua recently. A watch full of surprises. Here are a few shots - taken quickly, so please excuse the lack of quality - my enthusiasm ran away with me. Let's start with the obligatory wrist shot: Here is the first surprise. This is a big watch - 47mm excluding crown. But it doesn't look, or feel, big. Well, not too big, anyway. Looks OK on my wrist, doesn't it? Here is the next surprise. The domed acrylic crystal. Now... this is big! Wow! I love the way that the big dome distorts the appearance of the hands. Dali - eat your heart out! The crown is of course, completely wrong for the 1938 model - which had a Brevet crown. But it is exactly right for the yet-to-be-reissued special edition. That isn't dirt in the crown. It is the remains of the blue protective film that I failed to remove. Hanging my head in shame... There is probably an EEC regulation against movements looking as good as this... The hands look black most of the time. But get the light falling right and they look just like blued steel. Perhaps they are. All in all, an amazing watch. Keeping perfect time, looking great from any angle. I love it! A vintage strap has been ordered from HK Tan. We are going to use old leather torn from the seats of an abandoned Chinese railway carriage. That should be just right for this amazing vintage watch. Have fun! Clive
  12. Really! Just what sort of boy do you think I am?
  13. I used this trick to change the (incorrect) brushed finish on a JleC Kompressor to nice and shiny. I simply cut the cape Cod into a 10mm strip, folded it like a concertina, punched a hole through the wad and mounted it on the arbour of my fake Dremel. I am really pleased with the result. Achieving this finish took less time than stripping and replacing all those damn crowns on the Kompressor. I have also discovered that Cape cod - used manually - is great for removing fine scratches from the acrylic dome crystal on my vintage Radiomir California.
  14. Spend your money on having The Zigmeister service your Asian movement - then you won't need to be buying new hands. Or a new movement, either. Gosh - I just saved you a pocketful of cash!
  15. You might want to know that Joshua has just announced (today!) a new, more accurate version of the Planet Ocean. Here is it: http://perfect-clones.com/omse10028-planet...del-p-1677.html

  17. It is wicked to mock the afflicted.
  18. The 076 from Joshua is on my wish list...
  19. My ID there suddenly failed to work.. so I re-registered. Then, a few weeks later, that failed to work, too. So I re-registered again, under an obvious pseudonym. A message to the moderators, asking for re-instatement of my HFC identity was ignored. Ho hum...
  20. The one on the left appears to have the correct (6mm) date mag.
  21. I was priviliged to see the prototype when I was in China last week. It is utterly fantastic! This watch will redefine the quality that we can expect from reps - no shadow of a doubt. Jos was not happy with the quality of the strap, which surprised me - I thought it excellent - and I am very fussy about straps - but Jos wanted it softer... the man is a perfectionist! And for you guys that want the dial with orange markers... calm down. I saw that dial, too. Excellent - if you like orange markers. I don't care for anything orange... that's just my thing. But my order for the standard version is in!
  22. I hate gold hands on a ss watch... and like the distraction of a wildly assymetric small seconds subdial. Easy choice... the 183
