  1. You placed the lumes of a dark (high/long exposure) picture on top of a daylight shot?
  2. Most of the time photoshop and bad cameras are responsible of delivering adulterated colors in the various pictures you find on the net, I was looking at -> this <- post today (WARNING:much eye-candy inside ) and was wondering why in some pictures the Submariner/Sea Dweller lume seems cyan and in others more "greenish". Have you ever seen the real things in action? Do those pictures look adulterated (in the second shot for example the SD looks "greener" :cc_confused: ) or that's exactly the real color? (if I'm not mistaken its superluminova C1 right?) What about those other Omegas etc.?
  3. I searched around (not very deeply mind you ) and only found complaints regarding EU countries (Germany and Italy to name a few...)
  4. I know just kidding But indeed there are countries where they open your package see the invoice and charge you import taxes, then they deliver the goods, no seizing. Imitation is the greatest form of flattery :cc_chinese:
  5. There are legal Replicas of Weapons and 5 million dollars Paintings, why not watches? ^__^
  6. OUTSTANDING BEAST. Certainly a lot better on a suit than the CD (too sporty), must buy sooner or (rather)later (considering the price )
  7. There are some countries in the world (I recall Sweden, but I might be WRONG ) where buying a single Replica is not considered a felony, as long as it's for personal use and not advertised as something else. Granted, if you buy crates of goods to re-sell its a different story. I am under the impression that some if these packages that arrive in the US are indeed checked BUT, they end up being delivered anyway. Are we sure there is a law in the US against "a single" replica purchase for collection purposes? Specific Federal laws maybe?
  8. Wow! you certainly had your Rolex fix!! (loved the re-lumed sub with sexy superluminova ) The Explorer 2 in my opinion is the only other Rolex (after the Daytona) that gives you that "in your face" stainless steel impact. For SS lovers should be one of the first Rolex to get but it gets not justice usually :cc_confused: (and the carrera is underestimated too, specially the racing version where the thickness of the two bigger SubD is far less of an issue...)
  9. Nice Rep anyway, Has that nice authentic look
  10. Excellent collection! (will you ever get the correct HS Explorer 2 back?) I recently fell in love with the Carrera "racing" version black dial and outlined silver subD. I don't know why but it would sit nicely in the above group...
  11. Pretty nice! I noticed that Trusty sells this watch complete with box-set and papers, does PreciousTime too?
  12. Well then, as long as its a genuine ETA we're all happy
  13. What I meant is that instead of using a Swiss Eta-2824, its using a chinese replica of the same movement (Asia-2824)
  14. Isn't it TOO cheap for a genuine SWISS ETA 2824? I remember an old post where a lot of fuss was raised because the cartel sellers were misrepresenting this movement as Swiss although it was a chinese replica (a la Valjoux 7750) Your thoughts?
  15. I was quite pleased to read in By-Tor's Acquaracer review that it features excellent and "even" lume, is the lume on this "racing" Carrera as good (or is the Acquaracer the only exception)?
  16. Checking "this" review though, the main flaw being detected is the "big subdial rings". (they are thicker on the rep) Since this one has "outlined" metal sub-dials (where the difference is basically unnoticeable) doesn't it make at least the most accurate "Carrera" rep available (compared to the ones with "filled" sub-dial circles)?
  17. Thanks to your review this was my first order from PT (black dial correct hand stack), stunning watch, best RLX rep I've seen. By any mean, thanks for the review (and all your reviews at that) and overall great suggestion!
  18. indeed... if they are used they were certainly cleaned (I saw a 5 stages professional cleaning machine once, it certainly seemed capable of erasing some inking ) Maybe it was more "me" hoping for a rep-3035
  19. Thanks! I can assure you that I truly do. I was reading about the new YM and SD with 3035, but there is still something fishy about those shots at Kings site...(I don't know, maybe because the writings on the movement seem more "thin" compared to gen shots, so much so that it's almost impossible to see if they are yellow inked )
  20. Hello everyone, Since I joined the forum I immediately learned not to ask noobs questions and use the "search" feature instead, and that is why I still have to post anything (it really works! a lot to learn ) still I want to take this occasion to say a BIG thank you for all the help and insightful information I got by just reading a ton of your posts, reviews and guides! What I have learned (and still learning) here in terms of Reps and even watchmaking in general is invaluable, Thank you all!
