  1. I have stones for in my glass. Cubes dilute it lol.
  2. That Highland Park should be good. I have had some good experiences with them.
  3. I love the Macallan 21. I am also not a real fan of Isle of Jura the superstition isn't all that bad but it is different than what I typically drink. Another good one I found was the Lagavulin distillers edition it was really good... Also try the glengoyne 17 wonderful stuff. I picked up a Lagavulin 16yo and it wasn't the best stuff but was still a decent buy. I haven't been drink though recently, no where near as much as what I used to drink lol.
  4. Doesn't the paperwork have a serial number on it? Wouldn't it match the watch if it were the genuine article? I guess paperwork can be easy enough to fake as with a box and stuff.
  5. I have a Graham with an A7750 and has no problems what so ever power reserve is on par with my SOSF that I had serviced recently. Keeps time just as well also. It is several years old and has had nothing nor required anything from me other than the occasional swirl in the palm to get it started after leaving it on the counter for a few days. I wouldn't pay a ton extra for the Swiss version unless I could be assured it was a genuine Swiss and I had the extra money to spend on it. I think the A7750 is kind of a luck of the draw or maybe they are worse now than when I picked up the Graham. I have 50/50 luck with the A7750 (only two isn't a good amount to make a comparison) the latest one has a very, very short power reserve (less than 8 hours) and it is off being serviced. The other is the Graham and it is wonderful. I wore it a ton while my SOSF was off at VACs getting lumed and serviced now the Graham is back to sitting on the side lines. Waiting to see if I can get The Zigmeister to lume it and perhaps a crystal AR from cheif.
  6. that six in the date wheel looks a little off. I don't know enough about the real ones to say and is there supposed to be that much glare on the crystal lol. Looks like it needs a visit to chief. I would probably steer clear of this thing even not knowing about those models just because of how the 6 looks on the date wheel lol
  7. I haven't had any luck finding one locally here in Denver lol. Most aren't down with hooking it up with the reps.
  8. TWiT network. They do broadcasting and podcasts. I watch John Dvorak and Leo Laporte but they have topics on all sorts of things law, food, tech, all sorts of things. And I think there is something like 50 to 80 hours of live video broadcasting every week.
  9. I just recently received my SOSF from VAC. I had it serviced and the dial, hands and insert in the bezel lumed. Took a while to get all of the work done but it arrived and is wonderful. He is the US so no customs problems.
  10. Currently a Maxima no real problems even after 125k miles. But several and loads of different ones in the past lol. Old (2006) turbo-charged focus, blown head gasket and lack of funds resulted in sale was a fun commuter car Fun 3 series with the SMG... transmission problems resulted in sale lol. didn't have it long lol knew it was going to be a black hole for my wallet. Nissan Xterra. No problems what so ever, actually still have this thing well gave it to a family member. Ford F150 Giant truck for city driving lol. no where to park and crappy gas mileage resulted in sale. Some past ones I don't have photos of at the time chevy blazer S10 (rolled after a few weeks lol bought another of the same year), chevy blazer S10 (engine work and air suspension installed Had this until recently when it was donated for tax deduction lol, Dodge Neon (first "new" car I bought, loads of custom suspension work, tires, wheels, nitrous, smashed into mountain while playing "speed racer" lol $13k in damage to vehicle nobody hurt because we went to the mountain instead of through the guardrail and down about 200 ft, bought a Saab), Saab sedan (upgraded turbo, nitrous, loads of money, tickets and high insurance forced sale bought jeep), Jeep Wrangler (lift kit, tires, loads of cool stuff again loads of money and parts each time it went out broken rearend and need for more reliable transportation forced sale)
  11. Still wearing my SOSF lol Inside the office after a quick check outside on the fuel level in the generators. Outside while checking on the fuel levels
  12. http://www.rwgforum.com/forum/221-vacs-modification-shop/ knowing the movement would just be easier to recommend someone to clean and service. If you look in the link up there ^ look for the user vaccum and check his signature for how to contact him.
  13. I don't really know... I looked through the feed back to see what else he was selling and back in November of 09 he sold a vintage rolex for
  14. Any rep friendly watch repair person should be able to put the hand on. I just got my SOSF from VAC for a service and lume and so far its been very good. I also sent in my panerai/ferrari to a trusted repair person from RWI don't know if he is over here. What movement is in your watch? I would start with the trusted ones if you want a service or cleaning. I think The Zigmeister is still not accepting stuff (if he is someone should let me know so I can get some stuff there lol). VAC was really good with getting my stuff taken care of and the quality is really good.
  15. if it was lost couldn't you claim it was something other than a watch? Or draw up a receipt for something like a Seiko or Timex.
  16. Yeah send a message to HKTAN. I thought about getting one with green or orange stitching to go on my milgauss but I haven't bitten the bullet yet. I would assume any of the strap makers could get one put together for you also but the question becomes is it worth the money to put a nice strap like that on the milgauss lol.
  17. umm one of these lol. (SOSF featuring lume and service from VAC and gen rubber from Breitling. Probably harder to come across one of these but they are out there I bought mine a while ago from a member who had put the genuine strap on it amd I just had it serviced and lumed. If you can locate a SeaWolf that would be a good choice also.) If you want one of these look in the member sales section I think the dealers are out of these. Or maybe one of these. (on a budget? Milgauss nothing done to it, early version. these are super cheap and fairly easy to get and I think the new ones come with the blue lume which mine is missing) Umm contact a trusted dealer from the board and you are golden any should be able to get one and it will be at a reasonable price. Any of the ferrari models. (like the look of a PAM but don't like all of the silly issues like crown guards, teeth on the crown, funky dial print lol. these are fairly accurate to gen and you can get hooked on straps like the rest of the PAM folks.) Again any dealer should be able to get you one of these... Also the member sales section you will save some money and less headache waiting for it to arrive from the dealer if you buy one from a member in the same country. It really depends on your taste in watches and of course as mentioned by people earlier the budget you are working with. I really want a nice white faced dress watch next I am thinking about the IWC but to get one done right it would probably run a grand or more I really like that IWC seven days posted by BURNZ here
  18. Next time Chief has an AR run get in on it lol. I am thinking the darker faced watches really need a good AR coating or they don't look as good. Here is my Graham Here we are driving
  19. I'm probably a little biased but the SOSF... It just so happens I am wearing mine today. Although I would like a yellow seawolf I hear they are hard to come by now lol.
  20. I had my SOSF tube come out a while back. I posted about it on here I believe. Someone suggested tightening it back up with some pliers. I decided to try and screw it it a little and it worked and I then sent it in to get serviced and worked on. I haven't had any problems since though. I would love to get a genuine crown and tube though. I recall back when I posted about mine (probably last year or really early this year) someone had said tube and crowns for the brietling watches were very hard to come by. edit. Needless to say if someone has some I am down to get one lol. Only wish I had known before I sent my watch to VAC so I could have seen if he would toss it on for me.
  21. The iphone one doesn't make much sense as the battery lasts much longer than 1 hour... I easily get 18 to 20 hours without plugging it in and add in the fact that you can add another battery its wonderful. If I get an app that does crash I just uninstall it. Nothing like dealing with Apples poor quality control it is almost like buying a rep. You have to really get a good dealer and Apple is turning in to canal street, shoddy products, little to no quality control, dealers who will not help you when you get a bad product, and bad mouthing the other dealers who offer higher quality products. Does your phone lose service with a paper clip on the side? no, well you should get an iphone it does that. Do you get yellowing under the glass with your phone? no, well you can with the iphone. It is part of our new shoddy quality control. Does the CEO of your phone manufacture tell you to hold the phone differently when you loose service or drop calls? no, well you are missing out that is our new customer service, whoops I mean lack of customer service.
  22. The SOSF arrived from vac yesterday so it is on the wrist for today.
