What... laptops come with CF readers... where and when? CF is compact flash. Back in 2004 some gateway one did, and I think there was an e-machines one that had one also but both of those are were 2004 models and chances of finding one now with a built in compact flash reader are slim and none and I think slim just left. Most people think a new device must replace something else. You know like how your mobile phone can take photos and videos, get email, surf the web, send text messages, play music and movies, act as a GPS, and occasionally make telephone calls. Yet why would someone buy an MP3 player when their phone does that and more, Why would someone buy a dedicated GPS when their phone can do that and more... Why buy a TiVO when your VCR does that and more. Well each has reasons why you get something else. Your phone while it does all of those things can't replace a camera, it can't replace a handheld GPS. The VCR can easily be replaced by a TiVO but if you have a large library of tapes you might want to convert them over to another format. The iPad doesn't replace a computer it is a device in addition to a computer. It is an instant on device you can use to consume content and in some cases create content.

nobody pays 630bucks for a base one lol. Well nobody buying one from a reputable dealer. if you pick up one on the ol' craigslist you could be paying something else entirely. If the going price for a base one is in the 600 range I might be willing to put up with the two week delay to get a 3G one and sell my base one lol.

Cant see his photographs but tripod (table will work also), watch with lume charged (can use an led flashlight or a uv flashlight). set camera to Tv mode (canon) or S (I think that is what Nikon calls it) anyhow you want to be able to adjust the shutter speed as the end result. Next you can adjust the ISO to a lower ISO reduce the noise since it might be dark (your going to have a longer shutter speed so more light will be exposed to the sensor, or film). Set your watch on a surface that isn't going to be moving. Set your camera on another object (tripod or table) that isn't going to move. Set the camera to a 1 second shutter speed and press the button. check the screen see the result. adjust time to longer for more light shorter for less light.

Yeah or car, bus, train, airplane, restaurant, mall, where ever. But that's life and sure you can use a laptop for that and more just like a VCR and tivo.

Me and my iPad are in front of the 52 inch tv watching the Simpsons from the TiVo. TiVo another useless thing I mean why use that when my VCR does the same thing lol.

Looks like it says titanium on it. Mary found a mark on mine as it was getting boxed for shipping. She sent it back to get sorted so I don't know when it will be coming but I will get pics up the day it does lol.

My pathfinder sat for months without being worn I resized the band and found it still showing the correct date and time it did say the battery was at medium though. Now it is full after some time in the sun. Those solar ones are great.

Yeah what one did you get? I was looking at the full rose gold one but I didn't think it looked as good when I was looking on the hublot site. This one appeared to me to be really good. I am pretty sure the movement doesn't look the same but it will be on the wrist so it wont matter lol. I will probably look at getting the crystal changed out depending on how it is and will likely get the hands re-lumed.

Because they are different products and neither replaces the other. I have several laptops, several desktops, several servers, and an ipad... also several smart phones. Since having the ipad I can say that the use of the laptop has dropped dramatically. I use a netbook because I (used to) take tons of photographs and while having 32 gig flash cards is nice sometimes you need to put them on to something else. I run photoshop CS4 and sure it is slow but it works and can get the job done. The windows 7 professional with 3 gigs of ram helps but the processors in those netbooks aren't the best for that stuff. Now instead of using the "real" laptop which worked amazingly probably because of the 8 gigs of ram and higher end processor while I am out I just pick up the netbook and ipad put them in my backpack with my camera gear or school gear. The laptop added more weight and sure it would have been much better then the netbook but the battery life, weight savings and ease of use really is the deciding factor. When I want to edit something (photos, videos) I can fire up the desktop use my nice big monitor and have the processing power to get things done quickly. I can also listen to music, try to find chicks on chat roulette or skype video chat with people while I am there. But if I am watching television and think wonder if mary sent photos of my nifty watch yet I can pull out the ipad touch the mail picture and see my nice cool watch. Then i hit reply and say sweet, send me that thing. Or maybe I am taking a crap on the toilet and think wonder what some joker posted on RWG... hit safari and wow i can reply to things, see the pictures they posted. Sure I can pull out my phone and do the exact same stuff just like I could with a desktop or laptop. And once I get the htc EVO everything the ipad could do my phone could do lol but I will still have both because sometimes it is just nicer to have. If you don't want one that is fine I don't get the rolex thing so I can see where you are coming from lol.

Probably right... Most dells run 275 bucks. Pfft why get a laptop when a desktop is cheaper, better performing, and easier to upgrade oh probably because it is a different product all together. Just like the iPad doesn't replace a computer or laptop.

That isn't good news... damn them and their date not changing over exactly at midnight... maybe it wont bother me or maybe Ill slap a quartz up in there lol. So nothing at all? Makes me a little sad. Although not as sad as looking at the clasp on my invicta makes me today... less than a month old worn about 5 times and the plating is starting to wear off on the clasp. hmm wonder if I could send this thing in to their service center and get a new one lol. Oh and what about straps and buckles for the hublot... I am sure the buckle on it will probably end up looking the same. anywhere online or someone with some photos.

Sometimes... and those times where you want something that is instant on, quick check of the email, and be able to watch a nice movie while flying or riding the train/bus

Picking up the first A7750 with a visible date. It is inside a hublot... Anyhow the photos I received of it show the date starting to change over with the time looking around 10pm ish. I have heard this is normal but is there something that can be done with this to make it sort of click over right at midnight like the SOSF I have or the others I have lol (none are chronographs and I suspect not A7750s either). I understand if it is normal activity for this to happen but I could see this bothering me in the long run. Just sort of looking at options right now. Are there movement swaps which would resolve it?
