impossible that you have sold it only for the lack of AR...this would mean that all other reps that you own are perfect... this one is the 5th day on my wrist...without leaving...hey, I even sleep with it on my wrist...damn but it's nice...

Ok guys...I am not a review type of member...this is my first time...so let's give it a try... since the first time I saw this watch (gen) on the internet, I know I wanted it badly...but there was no rep of it...few months back there was on another rep forum a section where members could put some kind of request for a gen they would like to see repped...I posted this one...and a couple of months later this one was released...I want to think that I contributed in giving the idea of repping it... let's go to the rep...I waited in the begining that some times passes, because when it was released the price was and still is high...then River came with an offer that cannot be passed...299$...and I pulled the trigger... If compared to the gen, there are just some smaller flaws...the main, that most all of the members can notice are : the lack of double AR (there is some AR, but not too strong), the wrong font on the day date DW, lack of super lume...even with those flaws the watch is truly a SUPER REP...holding it in hands and putting it on the wrist the watch has a true feel of a gen... The case back is perfect...the attention to details is great...the engravings are simply amazing... The HUGE buckle...well, you could think it is uncomfortable...but I find it more than comfortable, you do not notice while wearing it that it's so huge...and it is impressive...perfectly made for a big watch that the CACC is... The dial is excellent too...everything is done to perfection...again great attention to all details...perfect... in the end the rubber strap...let's say that is great...I have the panerai rep rubber strap...this one I like way more...great again...I haven't seen the gen, but if it is better than this, I really do not know how it can be done... The general finishing on the case, that by the way is made of titanium...is perfect again... many of you will note that all the words that I used to describe this watch are great,excellent,super,perfect....but I could not find other words...mainly because I find this one a truly SUPER REP... In the end, I can only recommend this one...it is a great sport watch...very well made... the overall vote in my opinion it would be 8.5/10 - the 1.5 points off go for the biggest (if they could be called like that) flaws...no SL on the dial and hands, lack of strong AR and wrong font of DW day date...each flaw takes 0.5 off... Now off to the pics...I know my photo taking skills are not the best...there are pics of the case back...buckle...dial...wrist shots...comparison photos with 44mm, 44mm, 47mm...and just to add, this CACC is not bigger than a 44mm PAM... Hope I did it well...If you guys need any other info or pic of the watch...just post your request here and I'll try to help... Just fore reference, my wrist is 7.1 inch or 18cm...so you have better feeling when looking at the wrist shots! Have a nice day, and BUY IT!

yes tey are interchangable...no worry there...you just have to find one...
-
I think that everything could be done what you've said...getting it PVD and changhing the dial to hobnail 028...but there is a little problem...it is very difficult to source a PAM28 dial...very,very difficult...there was one for sale a month ago and I still regret not taking it... however, keep your project alive and when you see a dial for sale (you could always ask some of the dealers to source one for you - if they can?)...and complete your project...looking forward to see an update... good luck...
-
really lousy pics...not sure abot it being real or not...but the crowns on 40mm PAMs (gens) have often look worse then the one we have on reps...
-
here is a pic...you can actually see the 2892 engraved...
-
if you sing in the streets you should be able to earn for a nice asian 21j PAM (027 or 029)... but for the 2893-2 or the 2892-A2 you have to rob a bank... as for the 029/063 with 2893-2 - they are discounted as well...no longer available by our dealers...again River had a couple of the 063 with this mvt a month ago...but sold out too! there are 029 and 063 with 2863-2 movement and the 029 with the asian 21j...both of these movements are good...but the most expensive and no longer available PAM029/063 with the same movement as in the gen ETA2893-2 is priceless...and not in the same range as the 2 other mvt's...the story is pretty much the same as for the 027 2892-A2...same mvt as gen, no longer available, hot item, must have for a PAM rep collector...flaws are again same as on the 27...DW,cyclops,lume(?) so you better start looking around which bank has whick kind of security...
-
look for the ETA stamp on the movement there should be the ETA2892-A2 stamped...this last batch from River was the last one that they had in the factory...definitely they've mixed the mvt(2892-A2) with the rotor (2893-2)..they assembled the watches using different spare parts...

here is a pic of the gen 028, it can be seen what PAMman is saying about the PR scale... to find good pics on the internet of the gen 027A is really hard...I have some but i'd need to do a huge search on more tha 2gb of watch pics on my laptop...

the Corum Admiral's Cup Competition will definitely be on my wrist for the whole weekend...
-
wow...you are so lucky!...I couldn't go due to business obligations...some friends of mine were in London and they said it was spectacular...
-
doesn't matter...I was a little bit joking...you are not...don't get upset immediately...
-
since i saw that sanro really wanted one I pm'ed him the very same information before you did...but I did it through PM so others who may be browsing this forum don't get it before he has a chance... well, now his chances to get it are lower but nevertheless...everybody should know this info...it ain't a secret...

here is a link to an interesting website where you can find some statistic informations about swiss watchmaking... Swiss watchmaking - statistic informations 1999-2005

cyclop = date magnifier that is glued on the inside of the watch crystal

I knew about the refresh button...I discovered it by myself and did post it in the post that tony put as a link... didn't know that the system automatically resizes the pics...tnx for that info...
-
no PAM27 from DSN...178,43% sure!
-
post on the forum in the section watch requests...somebody will address you for sure...there are a lot of bentley owners on the forum, including me...pity it's a watch and not a car and plus it's a rep watch... answer to your question...the two versions...cheapo and asian7750 cannot be compared...if you have asked whether is better to get the UPO lite or the UPO with the eta movement - the discussion could go on....in this case it's simple...get the B4B with asian 7750!

maybe the pic you wanna upload is larger that is prescribed...it should be max 150x150 in pixels and more than 150kb...

027 and 028 reps at j&a websites...i suppose you are speaking about the high priced reps with the ETA2892-A2 movement with the added module Soprod 9040 for the PR function? If it is so, this one of the most beautiful reps out there along with the 029 and 063 with the 2893-2 movement (PAM's speaking)...they are expensive mostly because the movement that is inside, it is the same movement used in the genuine version of the mentioned Panerais... somebody would say that is insane to pay this amount for a rep, even with that movement...but I wouldn't agree with them...they are worth every single $ you have in them...I am a proud owner of the 027 with 2892-A2 and 029 with 2893-2 movements, and all I can say is that they are 2 of the 5-6 reps that I will never ever consider selling... since the movement is the same as in the genuine PAMs of the same reference number there is not much to say more...there are some flaws, obviously, they are reps...but outstanding reps...the flaws are basically the bad cyclopes, and the wrong font on the DW...crown is good (3.5/5) and they could be lumed with tritium (not necessarily)...there is the wrong spelling on the rotor of the movement (panerai misses one letter - if I remember it's the A) but this could be seen only if the caseback would be opened...maybe I forgot to mention something, but I am sure I sad 99% of what needed to be said about this rep and now to a sad part of the story...dealers seem not to have them any more for sale...they are discounted for 6 months now (except that River was selling a few of them a month ago - but even R is now out of stock).. good luck in founding one on the 2nd hand market..they appear from time to time...the price is high and they disappear within minutes... use the search function and you'll find reviews from some members aout this rep (for sure sssurfer did on his 028 PVD - his pride and joy)

that's right...but not for long...enjoy it while you can...

Robi, we showed them who is the new sheriff in town! p.s. hope you are doing good...saw your strap project...that's nice...keep it doing!

scott carson a mess or not?!...you cannot blame just one player...there are ten others as well...and by the way the goal he should have stopped happened in 8th min of the match...still 80+ to play...a well organized team should be able to correct that...to find force not only to draw, but to win...damn, you had 80.000+ supporters...and croatian songs were heard for 90 minutes...where is the fanatic english support? (I don't mean hooligans) it was a night of 80.000 scott carsons at the stadium...a night when almost everything went wrong...
-
a draw was enough for England to qualify...but this croatian team is amazing...and they pulled their forces to go and win against a good England in London...let's don't forget that we had a difficult match on Saturday in Macedonia where we played on a field where playing was practicly unpossible due to the mud and rain...we lost a lot of forces over there...and even if we were already qualified to the EURO 2008 we showed to the world that the sport spirit is never to give up...
