  1. I went to a few ADs and checked out their PP24 several times. Even got to hold the WG version. Heavy watch for a woman! Anyways, as for the comparison, the dial and bracelets looks almost exactly the same. Very very close. The engraving on the deployment looks more defined and less 'rough' on the genuine. As for the diamonds, that is the biggest tell-tale sign. The diamonds on the gen casing sparkles under normal lighting condition (as expected) and the rep lack this. The diamonds on the DIAL on the both the gen and rep are very close, probably because the sparkling diamonds on the gen casing creates steals the presence off the diamonds on the dial. A very good rep to own. Finally received mine from River... only white dial tho. The white dial looks off on the rep. The white dial on the gen has a reflective finish on it. Black is the best one out there. Edit: This is a photo I took at Farren Price in Sydney. I have a closeup pic but all blurred. Looking from afar, the rep could def. pass as a gen. Holding it in your hands, looking at arms length I reckon it can be differentiated.
  2. ... Determination is Everything!
  3. Guys, I need some some pics to assist in making a purchase of a SS Seawolf. I love the clean look of Seawolf, not too complicated looking and have been thinking about it for quite a while. I like the look of SS, the titanium looks too dull for me, which is one of the reasons why I sold my Chrono Avenger. I know it screams fake with SS. I don't really care anymore, I just want to get the watch I like to see on my wrist... a SS version Post away.... need a bit of push to proceed with the purchase. Thanks!
  4. Count me in... I'm a much happier person as well!
  5. I wouldnt mind getting this one but I am waiting on something else more interesting ... which I hope will be out real soon.
  6. Looks like fun! Great photos! That is one whole load of watches!!
  7. This thread is just making me itching to go HK.
  8. For sure I know it is not you. You are too good of a gentleman simply not capable of doing that. Nice try tho!
  9. Thanks guys. I must admit I was a bit fumed by this. I shouldn't but I did. Now I'll just sit back and have a laugh about it. @ warren: Unfortunately, I have parted with all my 187 reps. I unwillingly let go my last piece just 2 days ago. It was (still is) my beloved piece with sentimental value. Well, at least the new 7753 might surface and I might just go along with that. @ arthur: thanks for your reassurance. I have cooled down after reading your post. LMAO!!!
  10. I just stumbled upon this and I am disgusted by his act. It is funny to read what he has to say and yet did not include his email in his login. Should I even reply and own up that the person he is referring... is me? I don't go around proclaiming out loud that I do in fact own a genuine PAM187. I did post comparison pics in the panerai forum on here to simply... compare the gen and rep. I am descrete about telling pple that I own a gen. Why? Just my way of doing things. I'm sure a lot of you, myself included, would like to know how close our reps are to the genuines. And by posting comparison pics, it served that purpose, no? Those few friends I have on here knows for a fact that when I got the rep 187, I loved it so much that I decided to get the genuine. I don't proclaim out loud to everyone on here, and neither did I do it over there at P.com http://www.network54.com/Forum/353391/thre...ssed+before+but This is funny I gather it must be someone among us. But I reckon I know who he is. Not 100% sure but I have told someone I met in the face that I own the genuine (in a conversation about my bezel alignment on my gen is off) and has yet seen me put the watch on. Why is that his business to begin with? Please, if you have the guts, spill it out to me in person, the next time we meet at the end of the year. Thank you.
  11. Thanks in advance Admin. I'll PM you a small list of few watches in a bit.
  12. Damn. Now I know where to go watch shopping. I was back in Singapore and the amount of watches I have seen have drove me nuts for a while there. I should probably shop in HK instead. I'm holding my $$ till the end of year for my trip to HK.... Thanks for the excellent insight Admin. Edit: Congrats on your Breguet Marine Big Date, wear it in good health!
  13. Andrew, well said. Reps are reps and will forever be reps. The closer the reps are getting to look like gens, there are bound to be those anal few who will scrutinise the minute details to the tiniest dot. Some members don't realise how lucky we are to have you dealers around with excellent customer service barnone. I have always ordered from Josh and he has always looked after my needs. And I cant reiterate enough how truely appreciative I am for the service he has provided me. In return I offered to buy him a few drinks this June when I was back in Singapore (and he offered to call you along as well Andrew ), but unfortunately, the meetup wasnt meant to be as Josh was off to China. Andrew, I have read your posts for the past few weeks or so and have seen members throwing in 'petty attacks' on the way you advertised your watches. I felt it was unfair to you. Even though I have yet to make a purchase off you, from the way you expressed yourself on the forums as well as excellent reviews on the dealer review section, I can see that you are a honest and a trustworthy person. I'm sure there are a lot more people in this forum who appreciate your efforts. I would like to thank you for your honest opinions on this matter. I'm sure (and I hope) it will open the eyes of those who have been taking things for granted for what we have here in these forums. Anyhow, I wish you all the best and I hope to do business with you in the near future Andrew. Keep up the excellent work.
