Phong has told me $500 with purchase of 6 or more. But it depends on how this group buy is arranged... all up front, individual members paying, etc. I'm not guaranteeing anything.. and it may not happen, but at least it opens up the possibility of lowering the price for some individuals..

I'm a recent Tudor fan and I've been looking around for Tudors.. but no one sells them often requiring us to mod MBWs or other models with hard to find/expensive Tudor parts. How about a fully modded Tudor? Phong has two Tudor Models for sale... 7928 and a 9411. His price is $850. Apparently these are Vietnamese cases which are known to be better than MBWs. There may be a discount with a group buy, so I was wondering if there was an interest. If there's significant interest, we can drop the price to ~ $500. Thanks, Ken

The only reason why my friend liked my watch was because of the bracelet ! Oh well, I may have do so some surgery on it to make it fit him... I compared it to my Noobmariner bracelet.. its the same length, however, the end links and fine adjustment bars are different... but i don't see any way to make it smaller on the noob either..

Hi folks, I bought a GMT II off of silix and after some not so good customer service I decided to sell it to a friend. The problem is the SS braclet won't fit his wrist size.. His wrists are super small.. I'm thinking its like maybe 6.2" or so. I tried adjusting the strap, but it won't get much shorter. I took out all the links/pins, moved the fine adjustment on the bracelet to the shortest position, but its still not enough! What's the solution? Manually pull some links out - is this possible? Get a smaller rolex sub braclet somewhere ? - is it a standard size? Thanks, Ken

Thanks Andy.. and thanks again PredFan.. My real concern is fitting a gen tudor dial/hands on a vintage sub. 5517 seems to work if you don't mind the big lug holes after modifying, but i was wondering if a 5513 would accept a gen dial too? That way I would avoid having to modify the bracelet.

Does anyone know if the 5513 and the 5517 are identical watches other than the dial differences ? The 5513 has a SS bracelet, therefore correcting this fixed bars dilemma for me.

Hi guys, I wanted to get this nice sub throw in a tudor dial/hands - ideally this should work even without a MBW. Please correct me if I'm wrong. The 5517 usually sold by the dealers comes with a Nato strap. Do you know if the strap can be replaced ? Are the lugs fixed? Thanks, K

I've read over and over the threads regarding the little things that are off on most reps.. dial, font, pearl, CGs, lume, bezel inserts, bezel teeth, midlinks, rehaut, 316L steel, etc. etc. I don't own a gen and I may never want to (well i guess i shouldn't say never) So I wanna know this for sure.. Bottomline: If I had a gen or a friend had a gen, could they tell it from the rep immediately, or would it take a min or so with a careful eye? Lets compare something like a Noobmariner and a Gen for example. Which group of people could spot a rep? Forget buying.. start selling ! to me ! SOSF is the all time favourite, but if the Porsche speaks to you more, go for that. I agree with confused.. you need an Omega - get a UPO.. or a PAM..

I know, it sounds bad, but reps are illegal.. especially if you have a suitcase full of them.. What's the strategy for someone who may drop by Guangzhou China soon ? Buy sparingly, spread across several suitcases, lead box, carry-on only ?

When i first looked at PAMs.. i thought they were weird looking - not my style. But I bought a couple out of curiosity. Now its my most worn watch! I always thought ALL PAMs look alike. Subtle differences in the dial, but same unique PAM styling throughout their offerings. When choosing now, I consider one thing - the case type: polished steel, chrome, titanium, or gold. It makes a huge difference. I don't like polished so that eliminated a lot of my choices.

which country are you in ? I'm currently doing my MBA but I have an engineering background - like most MBA candidates. Yes, teachers are underpaid, and I know of classmate who was a teacher for several years and is now doing her MBA. Whatever gets you up in the morning is my motto ! Like others have said, its networking and making most of your MBA while in school. If you don't know what you want, then its time do some research and reflection.

I had problems with Trusty and Silix. They say they don't drop ship, but yet there are obvious flaws and issues. Given the number of orders they may receive, how much time do they have to QC every one ? Gone are the days of drop shippers for me. This year, I'll upgrade to only QC dealers and respected members of RWG. Saving $30 per watch is no longer a priority anymore - too much hassle when issues occur
