  1. Thanks toadtorrent! Thats what I thought he was trying to say, dang language barriers! The SOSF is very nice, but it depends on your wrist size. It's the same size as the BCE, 44m and it was a little too big for my wrist. But if you can pull it off, its a very very nice watch. But the rep of it is so good it'd be hard to justify getting the gen ya know?
  2. @peter: If you don't care about the warranty and peace of mind you get from buying from an AD, i suggest you get your breitling on the 2nd hand market and you will save yourself quite a bit of $. You also can find them on the 2nd hand market online so you don't have to travel all the way to the states to get a good deal on a breitling, thas the beauty of the internet! Also, online you dont have to pay tax if you buy it from the states. If you need help with anything, don't hesitate to drop me a PM And if you want to test out a watch before you go out and buy the gen,i suggest getting the rep first and see if you like it, and if you do than get yourself the real deal. Good luck mate! @corgi: Thanks corgi! Indeed it is a very beautiful watch in person. When I get my new camera I will take some better pics
  3. Thanks italiano! Well originally I was gonna get the SOSF but it was too big, than I tried the regular super ocean and it was nice but it only comes with numeral dials and I hate that, i much prefer the stick dials..And I was going to originally get this watch w/ a silver dial but I changed my mind I think black looks a million times better than the silver dial..The double AR really pops with the black dial, i love it! Its 41mm as opposed to the 44m SOSF, a much better fit for my puny wrists i really need to get a replacement camera so I can show you guys how amazing the double AR is, also the guilloche on the dial is phenominal, really a sturdy and quality watch - theres nothin' like the real deal!
  4. My new gen breitling colt II automatic..my 2nd gen breitling in the last month - jeez~
  5. Yes, it was purchased in NY (the capital district to be more specific). Not only did I get my usual 25% discount on the watch, but my friend who works there hooked me up with a free IWC Ingy wall clock
  6. Nice, I was going to buy the gen today but it was too big..So instead I bought this gen colt II auto and I guess this is my breitling dress watch
  7. Just picked this beauty up..It's a breitling colt II automatic, black dial - sorry for the crappy pix but my camera is broken and I had to borrow a friends..the lume is really great, and the double AR is fantastic
  8. Very sorry to hear this mate, you are long overdue for some good luck just hang in there and take it 1 day at a time. But let me say just 1 thing, flush those benzo's down the toilet and don't look back. Benzo withdraw makes heroin and opiate withdraw look like a cakewalk. While you cannot die from withdraws from opiates (or at least its very hard too), benzodiazpam and alcohol withdraw can be fatal and life threatening, especially when the benzo's are combined with alcohol. If you have trouble sleeping, try a non-narcotic such as ambien, lunesta, or seroquel (this is the preferred out of the 3). If you can get a doctor to RX you a script of seroquel (25mg) this will put you to sleep very quickly, and you will wake up refreshed. It is also non-habit forming. Before I decided to go to law school, I was preparing to become an addictionologist. And after I graduated law school, I worked at Riker's Island recommending inmates who were addicted to heroin, alcohol..etc for treatment. I've seen it all friend, and benzo's are the worst of the worst. Please do yourself a favor and quit the benzo's before you become physically/mentally dependant, i've seen people end up hospitalized upon trying to kick their diazpam habit. You owe it to your wife, and kids to stay healthy so you can be there for them. Very sorry to hear about your child, hope everything works out for the best. Just hang in there mate! Like doc said, we are all rooting for you
  9. Today: Tomorrow: Have a great week everyone!
  10. Agreed..Save up and don't buy a rep for 30 days and buy the genuine..You can find them for sub $1500 pretty sure, and you can find other gen quartz breit's for around 1g, i've heard nothing but great things about breit's "superquartz" movement..Or don't buy a rep for 60 days and you can have yourself a brand new genuine automatic..Well I just sold a few of my reps to help fund this beauty and boy am i glad I did..Got this for well below 3..I know it takes alot of restraint to not buy a rep for 2 months but after you get the real thang you will have no regrets
  11. Hmm..Doesn't look good. Have you used any cleaning products like cape cod, that might of got on the crystal accidentally? The double AR on my watches have held up great, very unfortunate to have this happen - sorry to hear this friend
  12. Neil, I dont think anyone doubted the legitimacy of your story/issues,- people don't make this kind of stuff up. And the last thing you should be doing is taking pictures of your meds. Do yourself a favor and just get up, walk away from your computer because i'm sure its not making matters better..Focus on your health, and get well soon! P.S. Just a suggestion, but maybe you should download one of those programs that reads you the text off the screen? I believe its built in windows
  13. Definitely a rep..The bigger giveaway is the hangtag..Supposed to be a hologram crown and the green and yellow is off
  14. Unfortunately my dog ate my camera so I have to recycle some old pictures..Wearing my blackbird
  15. I would play it safe, the chrono pushers are always problematic when it comes to water resistance..I don't even bring my gen breitlings near water, why risk such a nice watch?
  16. BEAUTIFUL kitty!! it's like a mini leopard..what breed is he?
  17. Dude, the fact that its legal/illegal - dead/or alive is SO FAR FROM THE POINT! Please do not even attempt to justify what that assh*le did..Please..I'm not going to argue with you. And yes of course he's going to get in trouble for it, turn on the news and look at the statement the military released. Not to mention that his address somehow got posted on the internet, he's received dozens of death threats, people threatening to burn his house down..etc..He will be tormented for the rest of his life, and honestly, he deserves every second of it. I have absolutely no tolerance for people who abuse animals (dead or alive)..Sorry but this just hits really close to home for me, as my dog was abused by her previous owner Agreed. I'm not responding to this thread anymore
  18. Honestly, I don't find this funny whatsoever , and the fact that the dog was dead is immaterial in my opinion
  19. Looks great!! Good job! The vintage lume really makes the watch, also the datewheel looks much better than usual..Wear it in good health!
  20. Lets kick off this wrist check early guys and gals! I'm usually not the kind of person who plans what he's wearing in the next coming days but these are my current favorites: Monday: Gen Breitling Blackbird Tuesday: HBB Wednesday: Slevin on genuine iwc rubber
