  1. crown and tube is on some models 'needed'. I have a model which has a nice crown. also saw models with a very flat crown. but a gen bracelet? Have you looked around for the price of a used gen smp? They come for around 1000-1200usd. the way you're going with this rep will almost hit the 600-800usd. Then why not add the extra and get a used gen? for the record, I also have a modded smp. (relumed, AR-ed, movement serviced, better insert) but decided not to take the gen folding clasp for obvious reasons.
  2. don't do anything. don't react to them. Unless they give you a fine and then you can deny. And let the replacement being shipped to another address.
  3. from which country to which country and which shipping method did you use?
  4. standard 177H does not have Ti crown I believe. So getting one and having it installed will cost more...
  5. imo the Panerai deployments/folding claps are not that comfortable, compared to the deployments of IWC, Omega, Hublot and Breitling to name a few. You gotta feel it to know it...
  6. 1) contact Rocketeer. He is a watch smith, UK based and a stand up guy.
  7. Rolex Yachtmaster Rolesium. sporty & dressy. And good specs.
  8. Maybe someone can tell me why it is not suitable. Is it because of the thing on the backside? I thought of buying this for having spare parts for a 240 angelus project. Hopefully someone can help me out before I waste my money on it.
  9. after some searching I found this angelus powered clock on the internet. Does anyone know if this will be the correct movement for a pam vintage project?
  10. You have 4 posts so far, and obvious you did not read the forum rules concerning AD visits with reps and posting about it.. So Kaslan, may I ask you a question? Why did you go with it to the AD?? Was that the only way to check if it is really Swiss? Did you notice how fast you got your answers here at RWG Most AD's are no fools and will always stay polite instead of calling you out having a fake. Also when they don't really believe your story about a gift from a relative. They would never show you that. They might not know all about the 28.8 & 21.6 rep movements and how good the 21.6 looks like gen Hublot movement. But how many times do you think guys come in the AD store with lame excuses like 'I got this from a relative and want to check blabla' or 'i bought this and can you check if it is fake'? Happens more than we think. The only thing the AD should have done is to hold the watch under a light bulb and see how fast the lume strength would die. Then he would have seen in half a minute it was a fake And by the way, Replicahause is indeed a scam site. Like all the members here say, to high prices, typical common lies on their website about Swiss, best gen-like steel, sapphire, usage of gen pictures, etc. Actually it is all the nonsense a noob wants to hear actually. Sorry to say. And yes, there are NO ETA 7750 in Hublot reps this moment. And the full ceramic 28.8 (best because of the brushed mid-plates on the case) versions don't have the H sticker, don't have correct rotor, don't have rotor engraving, don't have fine regulator. just my 2 cents.
  11. Yes, asked the dealer. Btw, also lost screws on the Legende here. My watch smith replaced them with a good fitting screw. The chrono pusher I got from my dealer. And was mounted by my w.s.
  12. And IMI opinion, DLC looks a lot better, more 'mysterious'. And much better scratch resistant. My first black PAM will definately be with DLC. And Avitt is one of the guys who can make that happen.
  13. Really really nice work VDB. I love all your post over here AND and RG. Hopefully one day I will own one of your handmade Meisterst
  14. The one with yellow letters is also a fake. But a very nice fake! check their website. http://www.vintage-article.com/products.html#anchor_437
  15. Find a rep friendly watch smith for repair and/or have it completely serviced or send it back to the dealer for repair. Does not sound like an easy fix...
  16. Most times these sort of things are custom modded. And to custom mod the whole bracelet and watch head takes lots of time. Probably that is the reason of the high price. And besides, if you look closely to the pictures you can see it is a seconds @ 9. If someone would invest so much in a watch I'd definately go for a seconds @ 12, have it completely serviced and then modd it with stones. Maybe a Hublot with stones is also a nice idea for a Vegas watch.
  17. What those dealers say with 'made with a gen watch as sample' is total nonsense. Don't buy this marketing stuff. Btw, the gen is automatic as well, but has a closed caseback as far as I know. And does have (single?) AR coating.
  18. for the price of all those mods you could also have 3 very nice reps. And to mod the UPO like that it'll get you near the price of a used gen....
  19. WOW +140 posts and still no rep? Come on dude, PULL THAT TRIGGER!
  20. Okay, so you have a Tissot and almost bought a gen Navi. So I assume your budget is a little bit more than a 100usd rep. how about you take a look at the gen Navi specs? You will find a Breitling caliber often based on the Valjoux 7750 used in high end reps. And you will find sapphire. And gen Breitling specs mention 'glareproofed both sides' meaning AR coating. Look for these things in a rep and you will find a nice one. Qualitative steel bracelets and rubber straps are best for looking like genuine. Leather is a bit less looking like gen. Some who have leather will just use the rep leather. Some will buy genuine Breit straps. Some will use a aftermarket strap or a custom made strap like from HKTAN or Gunny. So to answer your question: for a Navitimer, KEEP AWAY from the 108usd versions if you want to enjoy your watch. For the high end reps you might fool others and sometimes yourself. they are gems. good luck with the Hunt.
  21. Forgot what the topic of the thread was...
  22. Edgematic, please contact me. Tried to PM you, but your inbox is full.
  23. Looks nice! btw, are the lug screws supposed to be so deep on the inside of the lugs or are the screws with the original more flush with the outside of the case?
  24. Hey, I need some mods to be done.... Soon the wear her first 40mm PAM, home made? Nice pics!
