  1. A couple of times i lost chrono push buttons and the spring as well. I got new ones from my chinese dealer. you could also look for a watch smith. most of them save all there spare parts for many years. they might have something which fits.
  2. Hi, I have a completely new and UNWORN (still in its plastic cover) IWC Aquatimer steel bracelet which you can buy. It fits on the Aquatimers 371928 and 371918. please pm me for price and pictures. I will sell for same price as the dealers sell it.
  3. For the ETA you will pay a premium. IMO you could better buy the clone movement which is also very good and use that money you save on a complete overhaul (service) of the movement. So that it will run even a lot better than the ETA (out of the box the eta should be better, but the eta will most times be old movements which are not proper oiled anymore and need service, although they run still quite well) after service the clone will probably run better than the out of the box eta. about the QoS. I am sure it will become bugging when the next Bond movie is out. And maybe you get tired of it. And besides the 'real' Bond in the movies also just wears the Omega watch and not with a QoS marking on it.
  4. yes, but for instance with the black steel buckle, it is not in the middle of the wrist on the back but more to the outside.
  5. Never knew one needed so much gun power to protect some watches... Should I get 1 too?
  6. What does not work? seconds not running? chrono not running? no date setting? strange noise from inside the case? What??? Did you give it a 30-40 manual winds first to get it started? Could be many things. We need more info dude.
  7. Yes indeed. So if you want a leather strap, getting a custom strap from Pete (gunny straps) or Aaron is a good way to go. Then you can tell them exactly which size you need and where to punch the holes. underneath I got from vintagerstraps for panerai. It can be a guideline to find the right size: 6.0" - 6.5" = 120/75cm 6.6" - 6.9" = 125/75 7.0" - 7.5" = 130/80 7.6" - 7.9" = 135/85 8.0" - 8.5" = 140/90 8.5" - 9.0" = 150/100
  8. DATORA. JUST 42,5MM DIAMETER. And really cool. Also fits perfectly under a sleeve or dressshirt: perfect for work and business suit.... And if other... try a big (fat) aftermarket strap. the thicker the strap, the better it fits on a small wrist as well. Gunny straps also makes a nice Breitling strap. Bought it for my Black Steel. Cheers.
  9. Hi, the genuine has AR coating. this one not. that is quite a flaw. For the rest a very good watch. send the crystal of to chief and maybe do a relume and you will have a stunning watch. I advice to buy it with a steel strap. if you want leather, aftermarket panerai straps are A LOT better than rep panerai straps which are quite crappy. other panerais have a good AR coating. for instance the Arktos / Arktos GMT or pam252 North Pole to name a few.
  10. Totally agree with Indyberetta. this one looks totally fake. Everything is way off compared to best replica's and genuines. Not even the case back (it says Tuiga, but this model is not Tuiga), but also the crown is WAY off, the mid-plate on the case seems to sit higher than the rest. And also no AR coating. And not even talking about the wrong subdial spacing... the fakest of fake. If people want to wear such a watch which is so much off compared to the genuine, maybe a nice Swatch or Seiko is a better choice. the bracelet looks like a nice thing though. Altough Biver really emphasizes the rubber strap truly belonging to Hublot on Hublot TV. Even the 1 million dollar tourbillon diamond Hublot has a rubber strap.
  11. Yes, in Florida, same as you. So get yourself a nice Panerai or something else, send it off to Vlac, or even better bring it to him haha, and you can also enjoy it. Right now I have my pam252 dial and hands there. and some Hublot hands. And have a Bell & Ross on they way to get treated with blue lume. J is the man!
  12. The 3 brown straps are great. A perfect fit on all 3 combo watches according to their style, congrats! Looks great. Very very very nice collection! What is next, something with titanium or a submersible? Do you have any favorites?
  13. Thanks Pug, it is on my desktop now as well. Nice!
  14. Yes, had similar problem, date setting did not work. Could spin the crown for hours without change it date. easy fix, but dial needs to go off to get it done.
  15. I had this problem with 2 of my Blackbirds. Yes... You don't need to service the whole movement. NOT needed. but you need to take a look underneath the dial, like The Zigmeister decribed in the post (see link by Rolexman). If you can't do it yourself, just make a printout of the post and see a watch smith who can get the hands and dial off. It is a easy fix. Did not cost me more than 30usd. cheers.
  16. I buy from sinowatches. (moderator if this not allowed, please delete this post) don't expect a 25usd price. that was last year. and was a special price for me, because I am a good customer of mickey. expect more a price of 75. Maybe you can get discount when you buy a watch or two from him.
  17. Nice find Freddy! Rolex enthusiast making a big point? Rolex = the way to go? haha I think Craig is right about not wearing Omega all the time. Besides being nowadays 007 he also starrs in many other movies. So from wearing other watches, for example Rolexes he moves away from his Bond image. Cheers.
  18. If you consider the 194, you could also consider the pam252 new version. Also very good.
  19. Yep too bad. not right size. one of the reasons I had to let go of my pam253 fully modded.
  20. don't know if it is the link that 'carlsbadrolex' posted, but i advice you to after you unscrewed the caseback to move in on adjusting the small arm near the balance, to pull out the crown to time setting (hack) so that the balance will stop moving and you can savely adjust the speed of the movement.
  21. Was that a smart move to post the link of the specific AD in this thread?
  22. Out of the box i think the rep ar functionally works very fine. but is a bit to blue I guess.
  23. Or check for the older versions of Daytona which had the seconds at 9. That movement is removable. It is possible to completely service the one you have know, like The Zigmeister described above, probably it will work a lot better then. But the bad design of this modified movement remains, so no guarantees it will work for many years without a problem. service will cost you minimum 200usd. 'oiled it with correct oil' what 'correct' oil was that??? You could also send it back to the dealer, hoping after their repair it will work for a longer period. Or the graphite treatment, but then you need to do that yourself. difficult if not familiar with movements.
  24. I just double checked it with my own Black Steel V3. when taking a look at this picture: http://img14.imageshack.us/img14/4921/bspinup.jpg the running seconds hand seems quite high from the dial. I mean, you can totally see the tube. On my own Black Steel the tube cannot be seen by far. the small hand is almost pressed on the dial. Can't see the tube from any angle. You can also compare this to the other 2 small red hands. with them you cannot see the tube. So my first guess is that the seconds hands is not properly installed and has space to hang half on its pin, looking crooked like it is right now. And I would first try to see if the problem can be corrected by reinstalling the hand or by pushing it IN ITS Place on the running seconds pin @ 9. if that does not work, then sending it back to Hont, or get a new hand from Hont if the hand is not ok or ask a watch smith. Lately I am lazy with those things and I always let my watch smith arrange it. But then again, he also work on original expensive watches and is very good and very cheap.
  25. Hmm, if i take another look at the picture, it seems that the running seconds hand sits higher on its pin than the other small red hands. Even though it looks funny to the side. this could mean that it is just not properly placed and still can be repaired very easily. I really suggest that you try that first, so get the case back open, get the movement out and reinstall the hand. If that does not work, than send it back. You can also ask a watch smith to try it. should not cost more than 15usd, because to get the movement in and out, all together should not take more than 10minutes for the experienced person. Good luck!
