  1. Like I said, leaving out facts and variables that led to this whole sensitive thing. If the 'whites' would have been suppressed and had been a minority in the US instead the other ethnic groups, then it would be more accepted to have 'white pride' etc. And now making the balance by saying 'if they can call names, I can also call people names' Richards claims equalty, but he leaves out how this unequal situation of calling names begun in the first place. Namely the history part and those who he describes belonging to minorities. He is not a fool and should know these things himself. So my conclusion is 'purposefully leaving out variables, thus bending the arguments, for his own benefit in a speech where he supposedly was sued for making racist remarks?
  2. Richards/Kramer purposefully leave out the facts that there is a History and the facts about minorities. His arguments are way too simplistic, only in order to benefit his defense speech in court. He should be ashamed of himself taking this discussion into a wrong direction without really looking at all relevant facts and variables, just for his own benifit and almost making it a ridicule.
  3. Like Lanikai said, try a grey one or black one. for the 7usd you can never go really wrong.
  4. didn't you have a red nato strap?
  5. Is a gen dial on this one really an enormous improvement? I think the Chieftang AR will be the best option at the stage you are now at. I also have the chieftang AR on my portuguese and it looks awesome. The movement, the modded A7750 I have had it serviced, complete overhaul by my local watch guy who serviced orginal IWC portuguese as well. It runs better now, but of course still the jerky seconds hand because of the 5 gears train. Strap I got from HKTAN, all black croco. Is really great. Thanks for the great post.
  6. have you checked out the case back of the FER00014?? and compared the rep to the gen? No time to look into it now, but as far as I know those are not 1:1. FER0008 is better on that case, but the California FER is a lot more cool.
  7. that is way too expensive. local chinese dealers used to sell those for 40usd. the blue AR you can easily get off the crystal yourself. search on this forum for post about it.
  8. the reps we want and appreciate on this form don't sell retail for around 20 pounds. more like 200-350usd on average. Starting to sell replica watches from the UK of from the Philippines requires quite an investment in money, relationships, watch smith, knowledge. It is not just selling reps. The after sales service and warranty will take more time than just selling them. that is the easy part. also you need to find a trustable shipping partner to ship the products savely around the world not getting caught by customs. And all that my friend is a great hassle. If you want to be a local reselller (not on this board, but in locally in the UK), look around on this forum and you will find many trustworthy dealers in and outside the EU. Selling is one thing, but you need to have a warranty and repair and service plan in place. Most dealers are not in Phils but in China.
  9. Love the case back. that is what I miss with the standard vintage replica's, the caseback is not good. VDB his casebacks are awesome as well.
  10. Very very interesting project. But only for people who can also afford genuines, not for the average rep enthusiast. But really really SUPERB find and very nice post, info & pics. Thanks Kruzer!
  11. Very Nice!! Also great CG. And the strap? Any comments on where it is from?
  12. Andy, this topic has been discussed over and over again. Yes indeed, all sapphire is synthetic. But I have 2 points here: 1. when the Cartel dealers say 'synthetic sapphire', the are actually meaning/saying that it is just mineral glass. 2. as far as I know the pam177H sold with AR is the one with 'syntetic sapphire' (=mineral). the one sold at a higher price does not have AR and is sold as sapphire. And is sapphire. I have gottten both of these pam177H and my electrical diamond tester confirmed 'synthetic sapphire' to be mineral and confirmed 'sapphire' to be sapphire. going to my main ponint: Flashman here says he has a pam177H with sapphire and AR. I think it is just mineral with AR. If he wants to change the crystal, he could contact one of the dealers. I got a sapphire from Andrew for around 40usd. after that it has been coated by Jakub K222 with AR.
  13. You should also check repgeek indeed, and than the part of the forum 'Vintage watches'. And so you know, I have a New Old Stock Cortebert 620 soon for sale. Pm me if interested.
  14. maybe you should use the search button in this board to find out how to remove the rep AR from the sapphire. And something else... ARE YOU SURE THAT YOUR CRYSTAL IS SAPPHIRE? Last time I checked, the PAM177 is available with synthetic crystel and AR on it. And with sapphire (without AR). And as I hope you know synthetic crystal is the same as mineral crystal. Just a marketing thing from the dealers like Andrew from Trustytime and other dealers... I also got a version with mineral with rep ar. truely bluely ugly. I ordered the real sapphire afterwards instead, and got Jakub K222 AR on it which is really good alternative. plain crystal is ugly as well.
  15. If you have the chrono version, then it is quite useless. chronobuttons you cannot get as waterproof as the rest. If you have a non chrono pam, waterproofing like FxrAndy said is great.
  16. I think most 28.8k ones don't have a regulator. but listening to it is best if you have a confirmed 21.6k en 28.8k. Personally, i put it in my TYMC Timegrapher. it automatically selects the beat number.
  17. what is next after this t crown? A relume will be awesome on this model. greets, a fully modded & vaclumed pam177H owner.
  18. HackR, the crown guard lever is not completely even. This is because of the big fat screw under the lever. file off the screw a bit and it already looks a bit better. greets, a pam252 owner.
  19. thanks for the pictures my friend, even better than on Peter's website. I bookmarked this tread, maybe will order this strap for a future PAM vintage project.
  20. So will the buyer make the MOST expensive replica ever? Then we should demand a special thread about it...
  21. Well, a tip for the current owner / owners of the pam252. The top screw of the crown guard is a bit too high. the head of the screw is too high. There fore the lever cannot close complete. Filing down the head of the screw a bit, makes this better. oiling the gunny a bit makes it a couple of tints more dark. Fits this watch better. tips coming from a pam252 owner. Mine was lumed by Vac. also the 24h gmt scale was lumed. On the rep that was not lumed. Also a big error on this model.
  22. wooo, it could also be something inside the gears. As I have many many replica's going through my hands, my watch smith tells me that in case a watch stops all of a sudden, DO NOT shake it to get it running again. When being stopped a good watch smith can find the problem more easily. So the repair can be not expensive. Otherwise a full overhaul will be the answer. And that is expensive, at least 175-200 usd. Good luck (finding a good watch smith who HAS worked on A7750.
