  1. Welcome to rep Nirvana. You can buy from vrtually all dealers on this site without worries. Have a good time and try and save enough money for the rent.
  2. What I want to see is all the watches that those parts are going on.
  3. One of these days I will show some patience. It is a great rep though. Best of luck guys. IMHO, stick with the non-AMG version. On the version I have seen the Caseback wasn't changed and the basic material (SS vs Ti) are both off.
  4. Still lume issue. Now you have added a date and cyclops. Font on the date wheel is wrong and way too thin. But there should be a fix on the horizon for that. The cyclops is 1-2mm small and not gen magnification but not bad as far as reps go. The closest to gen out of the box is going to be non-date closed back model.
  5. Wan has it right. This watch is very nice out of the box. If you run into people who wear PAM's and want people to believe it is real stay away from the H Series (no good crown guard), Super Lume it, eliminate the recessed cannon pinion and add consider replacing the crown (if not one of the better crowns). On the movement anyone who knows PAM's will automatically know it is not the gen movement - the finish just isn't there. If you are buying your first rep and none of your friends even know what a PAM is than don't bother with any of it. My first priority is always lume though. Every time you get on an elevator having been outside it makes a huge difference. Great first PAM rep.
  6. My kind of collection. Start with the best and make it better.
  7. This is not atypical for this forum or the predecessor. It happens when people are at each others throats literally and all of a sudden multiple loops pop up from the battlers. Lo and behold, the forum has turned negative. The mistake we all make is to read them and then participate. Ever since the demise of RWG I I have tried to spend as little time as possible looking at loops which turn into personal attacks. Life is too short. I am here to learn, offer advice when appropriate and talk to my friends - period.
  8. The 40 is a great catch. I had completely forgotten about that one. On the 177 I was not aware that any came in solid back. I have seen an earlier 177 but I don't remember what series.
  9. I have the story to go with the watch. You found it in the inner hull of the wreckage of a two man sub. When you found it there was no crystal on it. How else would it have gotten so rusty. Seriously, I would clean it up a little. IMHO, it is not credible in that shape. You have a beautiful movement and what looks like a very nice case and crystal. If that is the dial there is no way the movement would even vaguely be intact.
  10. Why does this thread exist? It was addressed to the moderators only. Joe just use the PM system. If you are going to publicly air your complaints you have to expect a whole bunch of different opinions. Hey mods - since this post is directed at you only I would suggest closing it out and PM'ing with Joe directly.
  11. Swemoose- Tuomii on ebay regularly has the Chrono Avenger dials. I have a spare blue one if you want it. I bought that one accidentally when the AR coat made the dial seem blue. Of course when you superimpose it against the black inner bezel (which is much tougher to find) it is more than a little obvious.
  12. I haven't out of two concerns. First, the bezel pearl and pearl holder look noticeably different and the top sub dial on the gens I have seen have a red stripe on the top above the numbers but within the sub-dial. IMHO, they are two obvious give aways. If someone else knows different I would love to hear. I have been wanting one ever since I got my Chrono Avenger. The prinicpal flaws there are fairly correctable with gen dial ($15) and proper lume so I am spoiled.
  13. Can I get a relume.....please!!! Okay, just kidding. I guess you are entitled to a vacation.
  14. Well, when it is no fun anymore it is time to slow down. Relax for a bit. Enjoy life.
  15. Great article but do you really think he risked his life on the Compass capabilities of his Panerai.
  16. Looks fabulous. Now that is a 99% rep.
  17. Is it only the contemporary SD's that have titanium valve? Do the vintages use SS or titanium?
