I treat my 111 as a daily beater but still being careful with it, my 212 and 183 get much more care and I'm careful not to scratch them. I do treat them like I would treat a genuine $4K+ Pam, but I never think of them as genuine, they are what they are - reps. But with the cost of new crown guard and servicing they are treated with care. As a matter of fact my genuine and quite old Omega get's beat up more then my reps.

I dunno... I leave my PAMs at home when I go to the gym and take with me truly genuine CASIO.

Nice comparison. It still amazes me how well some detailes are executed on reps and how bad some are.

Wow, looks pretty good for a first generation rep. As a matter of fact I was considering getting the genuine power reserve model with black face less then a couple of months ago. Friend of mine owns one. I tried it more then few times. Very cool, 45x45mm. Because of it's shape and design it feels much bigger the 45mm 183.

Definitely send it out to get serviced. You want the movt to be oiled properly anyway.

My 111 is 15 months old, runs perfectly. Serviced once. 7 sec off a day (Swiss) My 183 is 14 months old, runs perfectly only wear it about 6 days a month. 8 sec off a day. (Swiss) My 212 is almost 4 months old, runs perfectly, serviced once. 6 sec off a day (Asia) 111 gets about 40% wear time, 212 gets 50% and 183 about 10%.

I found the deployant buckle to be very uncomfortable on 111 and 183.

It will even look good on a 6 inch wrist. There are flaws but they are insignificant. Overall quality is not as good as older 111 rep models. I recently compared that new 111H someone I know got to my 12 months old 111 and I like mine much better. You'd think reps will get better.

I got complements on my 111, 183 and 212 more then few times. Few times random people said nice Panerai, few times just - wow, nice big watch. No one has ever asked if it's real. Few people at my work that know of the brand never questioned it. Up until a day one of my cooworkers who's seen me wearing them for a while (111 for over a year now) and who is into watches and has few gens said: You spend some major coin on those Panerais. I could not stop myself and told him about 99% acurate reps and my 111-project, new crown guard, crown etc. I explained that I like Panerai designs but I choose not to spend close to $18,000 (including tax) on 3 watches. I let him inspect 212 I was wearing that day and he was pretty amazed how good it is. He actually had a gen watch with 7750 movt. on that day, we compared both see-through cases and he could not stop saying that he never thought there could be such great replicas on the market.

Genuine is very green. I haven't seen the luma jobs on our reps but I'd like to see head to head shot that compares it with the genuine.
