  1. Funny looking thing , went for 750 quid from a zero feedbacker to a zero feedbacker , dodgy as!! Im more interested in that watch in your avatar I so want a porno watch, tell us more please
  2. The answer is No. There are some 320/12/29/06's I forget what they are but the haven't been well received. Those pesky inhouse movement have spoilt our fun somewhat. As the Date wheel is in a different position than the A21j A7750 or eta are, so its closer to the hand stack than we would like. So to compensate they've extended the hour marker at 3 to make up for the extra space, it looks ok but not like the Gen. Given these watches are like 200 bucks I reckon they are pretty good value especially as there aren't any alternatives as far as I'm aware. The DW font can be a issue its pretty rubbish and I don't know why they can't make it bolder. The Rumour dogs abound that a new version is in the works from the super special secret factory that's has the power to create all sorts of magic but the DW positioning will probably still be an issue. If you do go for one try to get one with the new deployant buckle on. Good luck and I hope you get one as few people seem to have coughed up for one. If I can get it past my misses I might even take one for the team
  3. Bloody awesome looking piece . Where is the REP !!!! thats what I want to know as I can't afford the gen
  4. I'm Melting AAAGGAHHHHHHHHH Only happens with Tag's apparently
  5. It is a rep, so its unlikely that you'll ever be 100% Happy with it, The Crown and CG look OK , a Taka Crystal might be a worth while investment
  6. GEN DSN Only the likes of us would pick up on it, but see how the Gen goes over the Bezel? like I said its 2mm's I have noticed the Gen has a Polished lever though
  7. OK you got me, those are not my fingers
  8. I will have you know the sailor look is very now this summer in the southern hemisphere. But You know exactly what I am chatting here Peter!!! Doug McClure is Genius and another perfect example [explaining why Elaine won't be accompanying him to Africa] Mr. Peterman: I'm afraid it's your urine, Elaine. You've tested positive for opium. Elaine: [astonished] Opium? Mr. Peterman: That's right. White Lotus. Yam-yam. Shanghai Sally. Yes Awfully, its a DSN Auto they are all the same

  10. So recently received my 24a from Mr Davidson and it got me thinking about the connected connotations associated with Dive watches in general. We know that Submariners are previously associated with Bond or more likely these days its seems tennis players. I am neither a British secret agent in a DJ, bedding beauties, nor a playboy sports star moving round the international circuit. This is clearly an unfortunate situation that a firmly lay blame on the careers advice I received at school. Then we have the likes of the intrepid explorer; the likes of Jacques Cousteau who for some reason I associate with the Omega Plopof though he could easily change allegiances to Doxa , Blancpain , IWC and even Rolex. But this set the theme of survival and extremes, something I rarely face as I catch the bus to my office so again Ifind it hard to relate to. So that brings me to the Panerai Submersible, why does this watch currently resonate with me ? and who fiction wise or real life would I associate this to. Now the connoisseur’s would say it belongs to a bunch of Italian fascist frogman, though I feel this link is tenuous at best and I doubt they wore a 24 or even a watch that told the time more the direction of where they should point the pig. So I have decide that I'm going to associate my 24a with Kirk Douglas's character Ned Land in the film 20000 Leagues under the Sea. This watch screams "Steam Punk" to me and I reckon old Kirk would of worn one if he could. The Panerai submersible doesn’t feel the need to shout how deep they go. Nowhere does it proclaim its depth rating, be it Fathoms,(ft) Feet or Meters and that to me is one of its appeal its not trying to compete against any other watch. Its bezel has no minute markers, its 5 minutes here and 12 clicks, What's 5 minutes between tank fills of Air, clearly not an issue because Kirk would be working in the engine room of a Submarine shovelling coal to the engines or saving the crew A woman I work with is particularly smitten by the watch and calls it a girlie watch . I reckon that's because its curvaceous and has nipples, it is rather Art Deco' esq and smooth and really is in a League of its own. DSN really has come up Trumps withhis 24a, given that pre DSN's version , these happily changed hands for 1000$. Now I know its not perfect but its pretty good effort and seriously good value. The Cyclops on this is awesome and combined with the DW it really is up there with the best. For the fanatic the lume is accurate for this watch. I kind of wish it was more a DSN glow powered job. The only criticism I have is thatcrown is 2mm too low, which is almost ironic because DSN manual winds have sometime in the past sat too high, this means that its not that easy to pull the crown out but its not a big issue and hardly noticeable. The CG is a major plus in my books one of the best out of the box versions I've seen. This watch rocks and I know my pictures don't do it justice (someone on repgeek did a better job) If you want to treat yourself then go for it before he stops production you'll be really disappointed if you miss out. These are really great watches, so embrace your inner steam punk. ST4
  11. How good is the Ti CG ? (rhetorical) ;both those dials look to have the nice off white colouring you're on to a winner with those 2
  12. Yep Vintage Carerraesq or pre daytona Rolex I really liked the Heritage's when they came out and nearly got one but for some reason I cant get past the B'Ling. I also really like the old and new Chronmatics plane , i guess black bezels are more my thing, shame the new one is a silly sized For sure thats why I like them , No 5 lots tachemeters rings messing up the place like a navi or bent, or the fortess like protrusions or the rest of the range. Its subtlety is a refreshing change and will be very appealing to those who don't normally class them selves as Breit fans
  13. Thats a super nice dial , a great looking SteveO
  14. I know its amazing I never even knew there was a section here that even began with B. I thought we only had R and P. You're right of course , its on the list promise
  15. Dont have a Breit in the ST4 watch box, might be persuaded to add one of these if they ever bring them out, I do like a classic chrono TTECHNICAL DATAMovement Breitling Caliber 01, officially chronometer-certified by the COSC, selfwinding, high-frequency (28,800 vibrations per hour), 47 jewels. Over 70-hour power reserve. 1/4th of a second chronograph, 30-minute and 12-hour totalizers. Calendar. Case Steel or 18K red gold. Water-resistant to 100 m (330 ft/ 10 bars). Convex sapphire crystal, glareproofed on both sides. Transparent sapphire crystal caseback. Diameter: 43 mm. Dials Black or Mercury Silver. Straps/bracelet Barenia leather, crocodile leather Ocean Classic (steel version only). So a great Size at 43mmGot A7753 screaming out for it surely ST4
  16. I really like these dual timer quartz's The Emergency Breitling is similar , but that price is silly regardless of the box it come s in, those Gucci LCD's were like under 200bucks, so should this the fonts dont seem that bad? or is it my old easily pleased eyes Or actually they look pretty shabby compared to the gen 's
  17. Well thats a mighty fine base you've got there, nice build
  18. Thanks for sharing this , its a great looking watch . I like the deep dish on the crown, how does the roller ball feel? do you notice it? Are there notches/dimples on the case? Cheers ST4
  19. Rolli its nice to see you put stuff together its seems ages since your last creation. This is stunning as it is really a work of art. ST4
