I think they appeal to the younger end of the Market and are aspirational for a lot of brand concious 20- 30 year olds .
I got a gen Tag for my 21st along time ago as did many of my mates back in the 80's. I have had an old PVD Heuer dive watch as well
I don't like their advertising I will never be Brad Pitt nor do I want to be and I think their celebrity sponsorship is pretty lame and that one with Leonardo with the photoshoped watch on his wrist is just w@nky .
I like the vintage manual wind Chronographs the Autavia and Camaro are awesome and a good Heuer Carrera vintage is a classic , but I can't stand the "Links ", but I have the same contempt for Blue Dialed Seamasters so my opinion is well dodgy to some.
The new advance movement Tags are genius and i think they have turned a corner and agree with By Tor they are pushing forward unlike many other brands
What do you mean?
The dial lumes are different but neither is incorrect just aged differently. So Tritium goes Orange over time
The CG are as the should be , polished and slim.
I get the OP's point but those cheap watches are cheap for a reason
They'd be well Sh!te and you couldn't pay me to wear them ,
to me they are a waste of the world resources and bandwidth and shouldn't be made
Sorry Mate I didn't mean to spoil the relationship with your 002 , I dont think there are currently any better dials and yours has a top notch lume/patina . Its weird cos DSN is usually not bad on the font front . The T Swiss T is good though
My Humble and wildly inaccurate 002. This is in my top 3 favourite PAMs and is my go to watch on many occasions
To me this is "THE" Original Panerai pure and simple and well balanced.
I prefer these Sausage/ Painted dials over Sandwich and the sunken pre-v variety
Here is a Gen for comparisons
Notice how the CG is almost an extension of the curve of the case, it seems to flow better than the oversized brushed versions of the Pre's and Post G's.
The Polished CG just completes the watch. Though some might suggest the 390 is the new 002 the Vintage hands and placement of the "Panerai" don't cut it for me so your best bet might be a 112 as otherwise DSN might be your best option or the 000 if you dont mind a logo

Being the slim wristed young gun that I am , I had to resize the bracelet considerably. This task is a *##$@+-#* of a job and I broke 2 of them trying those pins are a royal PITA. Crown gave up afte a few months Gen crown and tube not much better. Poor design imho. Still an ok watch though just a high maintenance one.
Do neither of those they are rubbish especially the first one
Do you need the deployant buckle , or happy to change the tang you have?
Get a Watch boys TWB
There is no disputing that this is a superb replication , but I am just not that enamoured by it . Don't get me wrong I love a good base, but i cant help feel the dial would be more balanced if the put the "panerai" at the bottom there just seems so much dead space on the dial. If i had one to look at and hold I would probably change my mind, so feel free to send it to me for a test run .
