  2. Thanks for your input guys. I think the dealer in question will do the right thing as he has always been very helpful and honest when i have dealt with him. Soooo gutted i haven't got the heritage on my wrist as i type but on the plus side the rep Breitling rubber strap i got for my $600 looks great on my Blackbird...every cloud eh Will keep you posted. Be lucky @ll
  3. So here is the story: Ordered 3 watches and a strap from my regular dealer(whom i have ALWAYS been VERY impressed with) and the cost was about $600. I was sooo looking forward to wearing my new heritage and the other two. When the package arrived it felt suspiciously light and sure enough no watches inside but the strap was there. The EMS bar code sticker had been cut straight across with a sharp blade and was clearly in two halves...now the interesting bit. The tape used to reseal the package after the watches where removed had Chinese characters and the words GUANGZHOUBAIFUN INTERNATIONAL AIRPORT CO.LTD printed on it. In my excitement/dread to open the package i used a screwdriver that i had to hand and made a bit of a hash of it but it clearly proves that the tape was added after the package had been opened and the watches removed at the airport. I would like to get some opinions on whether myself or the dealer should cough up for the loss as the watches didn't even leave China. And now the proof: Thanks guys
  4. Just had the same reply about the lume attached to my tracking number...I think the prototype is exactly the same as the 'production' model. Still got that exited feeling though, i have been waiting soooo long for this one. I will post detailed pics when it arrives. Be lucky all
  5. Just pulled the trigger and will up pics when it arrives. I am hoping that the production version doesn't have the half lume dot @ 3 but a smaller full one as per gen..also didn't notice the lume dot @ 12 the gen looks flat while the 'prototype' has a dot in a triangle...EEEEKKKKK!
  6. The more i look at the construction of the SA the more i say in my head.....'GET A MOVE ON REP SUPPLIERS AND GIVE ME THE SKYLAND!!! I CANT WAIT ANY LONGER!!! Be lucky all
  7. I know its difficult but watch the thumb of her right hand....its a rep
  8. winner winner chicken.........head Be lucky all
  9. I had a UPO from the 'trusted dealer' that i always use that was obviously a Chinese rep mvmt although i paid the swiss price...he told me it had been 'washed'. Put it down to experience and if it lasts a year and gets a few comments then it ain't that bad... word to the wise, most dealers that are 'trusted' are making alot of money from us and the people that produce our reps and are not concerned with the quality of the watches they drop ship. 'His customer service is excellent' = People are happy when the package arrives with something that resembles a luxury watch...from a distance! Be lucky all
  10. I use Johnson's baby oil, smells nice and does a great job giving the bracelet a nearer feel of a gen. Be lucky all

  16. Total noob pam question I'm afraid. I am looking for a tan ostrich hide strap and a rattlesnake skin strap (i have seen both of these on other peoples pams) for my 111H but no real idea where to start. Any advice would be greatly appreciated. Be lucky all
  17. I was thinking exactly the same thing!...think we can get him to share his source If all reps where that good we would never get called out by ANYONE. Thanks for the link, nice way to while away a few minutes on this cloudy sunday. Be lucky all
  18. If i dived which i don't (apart from the obvious ) i wouldn't take a watch worth anything more than
  19. I have a good guy that has serviced all my reps Asian and swiss and also done a bit of repair work for me. PM me if you need further info
  20. Excellent advice from the board as always. I had a similar problem with a Breitling badge that had dropped off in transit..i did open the case and managed to remove the crown and movement..took allot of looking all over these boards to find how to do it mind and there was finger prints all over the dial for weeks before i plucked up the courage to remove the movement again..my advice is to ask yourself one question...are you kakky handed..if the answer to this is yes, i suggest going for it anyway..u will only make the mistake once
  21. Maciek, i would like to introduce you to Charlie. He died almost a year ago (03/03/07) and not an hour passes when i don't think of him and the joy he gave me. Charlie had a duff hip from birth and alot of digestion problems that could be medicated in his first 9 years(human) but unfortunately meant by the time he died he couldn't even stand, so i had to make the decision to put him to sleep. We had been through everything together and scraped through together and over the years without knowing it he became part of me that i miss constantly. My heart is with you and your beautiful dog. God bless
  22. I recently had my 10 year anniversary dinner at work and to be fair the company i work for they put myself and my partner up in a 5* hotel for the weekend and paid for us to use the spa which was a nice gesture. I did laugh a little at the gift they gave me for making them probably getting into the
