  1. My friend, it's an honour to be able to get a hold of your Prevendome offerings and I am grateful beyond words. I am definitely interested in your 203/A, 205/A, 218/A and Pre-A 0001, so much so I might just grab 2 or 3 of each dial... The reason I am so excited about your project as I forsee that in a couple of years, should you decide to retire, it'll be really rare as hen's teeth to get a hold of them anymore. My objective is to complete the possible PreV and PreA while the cooker is still hot! when it simmer downs, it'll be really a miss which I will regret in years to come. Your discontinuation of 202/A I hope you will bring it back to the Prevendome scene again as there has been a tons of PMs that has been sent to me regarding Watchdog's work on mine. I am officially "Prevendome Insane" but am loving every bit of it... Watch this thread, it'll be a Threesome that will evolve into a 7th Heaven......
  2. Thank you my friends! I have totally forgotten to include that magnificent 5218-202/A that our own very watchmaster Watchdog has completed a couple of weeks back, in this "threesome". On the Prevendome / PreA menu list next: (I know I am going crazy) 2 x Pre A 0002 1 x 5218-201/A I hope to complete the next 3 pieces in the next 48 hours. For those who have gotten FGD's 2nd Generation dials, the feet fits like a glove on a Swiss Unitas. (compared to the 1st generation which took me quite sometime to accomplish) Am definitely awaiting FGD's next prevendome offerings of 203/A which I am eagerly anticipating.
  3. Greetings my friends, my Panerai lovers, haters and most of all, the Prevendome enthusiasts. The time has arrived where by I have finished 2 Pre As --- PAM 0002 and PAM 0009, and 5218-201/A. Most definitely, many thanks to FGD for his perfection in those thick indices. 1) Pre A 0002 --- 2nd Generation FGD Dial without lume, DSN Case, T48 crown, Swiss Unitas 6497, 6500 caseback, ABP custom single-ridged Hornback gator 2)Pre A 0009 --- 1st Generation FGD Dial without lume, DSN PVD Case, T48 Crown, Swiss Unitas 6497, 6500 caseback, OEM Black Calf 3) 5218-201A --- 2nd Generation FGD Dial with lume, DSN Case, T48 Crown, Swiss Unitas 6497 with Panerai engravings, 1st gen DSN caseback with correct 018 font, Strapmasters Brown Shark
  4. beautiful work avitt! I need to send some parts your way really soon... thanks for the chronological pictorial!
  5. Perhaps a call-out to flippers since its a 150 pieces production SE. This will see the prices going through the roof once again. Looks like this tactic in the region of 150 pieces work wonders... (see 203) unless the same story floats for 318, that there are 150 left over "Long Arrow" dials used on the G series of 005 where the first 80 dials were those used on the 195, will I seriously consider. Inject a little originality at least on an SE than an artistic impression of an architecture on the caseback.....
  6. I doubt he'll get his asking..... condition doesn't justify that kind of pricing.
  7. holy rollie heavenly mega-twisted collection!

  10. Hi RWG'ers, I need some advice here. Just got to know a contact that he has a post-WWII Genuine Rolex Submariner with : 1) No markers from 12 o'clock to 3 o'clock on the Bezel 2) Tropic Dome Crystal with no cyclops, no date 3) Tritium Dial 4) 2 Lines of Lettering at 6 o'clock: Submariner with 660ft = xxxx 5) No box or papers 6) Case is in good condition with no dings, Pearl still intact. 7) Backcase is polished with engravings at the circumference. He doesn't mind trading his Vintage Sub as it's an eye sore to him with my Gen Sea-Dweller Z series complete with box and papers. In your opinion, what do you reckon this submariner to be a James Bond sub, possibly a 5502 or 5503? I have not seen this timepiece yet but will be viewing on Monday. Will updated once I am able to verify the Model number at the lugs area. Would like Rolex Experts here if you think that this is a good opportunity for me? If it was you, would you do the trade? Verification at an authorized Rolex service centre is possible. Anyone knows the market rate of such a submariner at this point in time? Appreciate your input in advance. PreV
  11. Always loved Depeche Mode since the 1980s. Been listening to their collection for the past 2 months after a hiatus break from the contemporary releases. Going to give this new CD a listen really soon...Until then...."Fast Fashion"!
  12. The last time my brother's Watchonpo's PAM 187 was sent to Zig took quite a while as you can only imagine the number of watches he has to undertake. There are only so many "waking" hours in a day. Having said that, how does one defined seniority? From the day or year I registered on RWG? or from the numbers of posts that are made? Perhaps the real key question all boils down to : Friendship. Will you help out a friend who is in need as opposed to a stranger? The answer is crystal as sapphire, or mineral if you will. Now, there's no need to sell off your parts because you couldn't find someone to assemble them. I know that time is of the essence but it's the process of modification that is the Creme de La Creme. So take your time, there are other watches out there. Keep a project or 2 close to you --- incomplete as it may be, it's one that dwells on your mind. In short, Zig or any other watchmakers cannot satisfy the exponential watch nuts that are expanding by the seconds. It takes time for communication to build the foundation of a friendship. Everyone is individualistic by nature, we want to "hit and run", get our watch together and holla "sayonara". Sad but true, but this ideology will only be a one-way street to a dead end. Don't fret, find a solution to whatever problems that you may have --- what's the worst that can happen? Go the DIY route, try it for yourself, you might just enjoy the process of such micro-technology. ......it's sooooo much more than a watch, that's my point.
  13. On the contrary, I am thinking of purchasing a Gen - PAM 000 to remove the dial and place an FGD dial in it. I think I am going nuts.
  14. One has to bear in mind that watchmakers like *z*i*g*g*y* are swamped with mod requests and orders --- this requires a Queue number. That said, private messages are often sent out in loads and filtration/replies takes time. Services provided by a lone-ranger (very often) is a taxing affair --- concentration and time. I doubt that "Singling" out new members is the issue here. It's about giving watchmakers/modders ample time for replies. If you are in search of perfection, this process takes time --- no surprise here at all, as this logic applies to all matters in general. Alternatives such as buying "out of the box" perfection are often hindered by "snipers" who are swift in their online transactional communication. Missing out on a piece is alike to losing out to an auction on eBay. So be Quick and spend more time on the For Sale forums if you possess a "no luxury of time" mentality with regards to replies from watchmakers. Patience is the key here....it's like fishing. Yearning for the "catch of the day" --- that my friends, is on everybody's minds.
  15. Hi RWG'ers, Just got a chance to place my PreA 0002 embedded with Davidsen's Swiss Unitas 6497-1 Movement in an Orbita Mechanical Watch Tester. Basically, this watch tester reveals the deviations in terms of seconds / day (+/-) on its LCD screen. By placing your mechanical watch --- automatic or hand-winding --- on a base which can be rotated. This base has a sensor which is connected to the LCD mainboard which will then read your movement (eg. ETA Unitas 18,000 vph). The sensor will simulate the audible sound of the movement, as well as reveal the deviations on the LCD screen. Quite a nifty tool for watchmakers. However, in terms of accuracy, I believe that this instrument will require calibration in order to achieve accurate results. That said, every tool will have its advantages and disadvantages. Would like the opinions of watchmakers on the board to chip in. Pardon my descriptions if I have not used the correct terms as I am very new to this.
  16. Here we go for our British mates or RWG'ers who are interested in the retail pricing for Panerai timepieces for 2009.

    .

Always a pleasure to view the work of the Master himself --- The Zigmeister! Your tritium application on this 009 Base is impeccable --- hands down!
  18. Very nice 233 Tunnel strap you got there on your 03. White dials and black straps go hand in hand very well.
  19. Nothing beats Vintages! The older, the harder to acquire, the tastier it gets. Gotta love those automobiles too. Single Red Sub.... that's the pinnacle for sure!
  20. It's a sign alright. A Submariner is calling you in Coded form on your dashy!
  21. The Cure. There isn't One. You have stepped into a domain that will not allow you to leave --- Hotel California, Hotel of Replicas if you will. The only way is to check out each room (aka watch) and see which ones suits you for that moment in time. Stay there for a moment and move on to another. --- Buy & Sell Section Welcome to the World of Addiction, it will never end. at least not for me.
  22. Party World's KTV rooms are kind small. How about Club Infinitude, Tiananmen or Las Vegas? hehehehe! Can get a bigger room, the couches are comfy, air-conditioning full powered. Of course, let's not get distracted by the Flora and Fauna...lol! Oosh @ Dempsy is quite a nice place for GTGs imo. I am a member there so if you need me to book the Cigar room, they've got LCD TV there with lush sofas.
  23. Love it! Just can't get enough of PVD/DLC pams.
