  1. Some photos of my SSD. Some are good, other sucks. Enjoy it!
  2. I've just shooted this I've got no time to shoop, I've just popped out the dial.
  3. Back to work! I used my camera phone, so pics aren't clear the extension is shorter than the clasp. And of course the bracelet link too!!! Just push a little bit on the red area with a....you know, whatever you want. I saw an highliner on my desk and I used it! Here we go! Don't push too much! You need to "distort" the clasp only a little bit! Let me know if it works! On mine works great!
  4. Here's a little "how to". I'm just a noob, so don't expect this is the right/proper way to do it I think we all know how to remove the extension link Thats what we get The problem is that the extension is short and the bracelet links are longer! So it wouldn't stay closed. How to fix this issue? Bending the extension to get it resized how it should be. As you can see mine has a good curvature. So it will fit This is how I do it. Just bend it a little to "open" it and make it longer. Here we are! Now its open and long. And it fits, without problem!
  5. Great work man! You're anal! How did you notice that in a restaurant, with few lights and from a distant table? Kudos! I wish I could have your fake-sensitive eyes!
  6. Of course, you can. But it isn't a well done work. Trust me: twist a little bit the extension. Mine is perfect now.
  7. I twisted mine a little bit and now fits perfectly.
  8. Still my Rollie, but now...with steel bracelet! He's staring at the sun...
  9. Hahahahaha! Man, I'm ROTFL! You're right! The steam its difficult to hold with hands....its hot! Sorry guys, I'm a non-native english speaker!
  10. Yes, its the same I thought. I have another steam-crown from a Myiota quartz. This one is how it should be. Threaded into the crown. Tomorrow I'll try with this one. I'm trying to learn how to change the steam, because I bought a SSD (the new SD) but it have some problems. All the batch probably...I'm not the first with this kind of problem. My tube its not so bad threaded (its not so difficult to screw back the crown), but the steam its too damn short. So, when I unscrew the crown I ear the "click click" sound. The winding pinion it's turning anti-clockwise "engaging" (slipping) the wig-wag pinion. That's what I guess! I'm only a noob I think that this is not good for the toothing. So, if I change the steam with a longer one it will be better. Am I right?
  11. Ok. Slipping...slipping...angry.... broken steam! I'm not worried about it because its my guinea pig and I need practice. I shoot some pics of the steam-crown (just a few moments before it got broken). So everybody could understand what I'm talking about. http://i241.photobucket.com/albums/ff224/u...de/DSCF1820.jpg http://i241.photobucket.com/albums/ff224/u...de/DSCF1818.jpg http://i241.photobucket.com/albums/ff224/u...de/DSCF1817.jpg The other steam's part its still inside the crown. How can I put it off? Any idea? P.S. Thanks for helping a poor noob The Zigmeister
  12. Yes, its hold. Then I unscrew the crown, but nothing happens.. Edit ===== Just to clarify: The steam its holded. The crown its turning and turning....but no disassembling at all.
  13. Hi guys! I'm trying to disassemble a Seiko 7s26 steam. (my guinea pig: I need to learn before making this with a gen rolex crown) On the paper its easy. The steam is threaded, the crown too. Just unthread it. But its not working! I'm unscrewing, but nothing happens. Should I push the crown? (the crown has a little spring inside) If anyone can help me I'll be grateful Just a little hint
  14. Still this on my wrist. But I'm working on the crappy bracelet
  15. I'll choose the first one: surrounded markers are more shiny. I like vintage dial, but I prefer modern submariner dial. Nice watch!
  16. Stunning! Good work, man! I wish I could have your skills So, you didn't change the steam... When I unscrew the crown I feel like I'm winding (unwinding?) the watch. It was the same with yours before modding it? If yes, now it's all right? Do you think it could take gen crystal? Thanks!
  17. So, if the rep tube is too short, with a gen tube and crown I should change also the steam! Am I right?
  18. I would like to keep the thread up to date. Yes, it accept gen crown, but the tube is glued in and threaded very bad. When you unscrew the crown, you can feel something like winding the watch! When you try to screw back the crown, sometimes you can't "catch" the thread on the tube. I would like to report this info: Today I put some Lithium grease on the tube: its a little bit better, but this won't solve the problem
  19. I don't like the Bond. gator its much better! Here it is: http://forums.watchuseek.com/showthread.php?t=42340 BTW, I'll suggest you carbon look!
  20. Congrats Stephane: it shines! Awesome rehaut! (I didn't notice it before By-Tor's post ) My new baby! I love it!
  21. Bastards! I'm sorry about that Repaustria! That's unelievable! Within EU! That's scary I had never heard this before. How about your package? Was it sealed?
  22. It's not so good ship something to Italy by regular mail. its better: ========== registered mail insured security label on the side of the package (never had problem this way). ========== But if you put a Rolex franken in a regular mail package... you might lost it! I think that Non-Eu countries are black listed. Everythings comes from there, its stopped in Milano-Roserio Hub, where they check the package. Eu countries => no problem!
