I recently ordered an asian 7750 secs @ 6 Daytona, but with a black dial.
When the watch arrived it had smaller, very thick and shiny sub dial rings, it looked very bad.
Of course I was quite disappointed, but I got it from an excellent dealer who refunded my money, I sent the watch back.
So now I'm still wanting a Daytona, may I ask, which dealer did you get yours from?
We used to stay at Hotel Metro on W. 35th just west of Fifth Ave., it used to be quite inexpensive, but last time I checked rooms were around $200 a night. Superb midtown location.
The cool part was the rooftop deck, you could see almost the entire Empire State Bldg. as the hotel was 2 blocks north of it.
Good luck, I hope you find something decent.
Yep, I 'm happy too - I ordered it from Andrew today.Sharp looking watch.
You've tried leather strap, please tell me, is there a noticeable gap between the ends of the leather strap and the case, between the lugs?
Andrew told me the rep black rubber strap would not fit well, but I'd like to get a black croc strap with white topstitch, then dye the white thread with orange marker, same as the genuine you link to Omega site.
Thanks for the review, everything!
I really like the look of this, and quartz movement doesn't bother me.
I'm going to order this from Andrew.
Can you please tell me, is the lug width 20mm? I have a rep black rubber strap that was supposed to fit the 4th gen PO but it looked terrible on, I 'm hoping I could install that strap on this baby, that would look really sharp.
Thanks!
Hmm, lotsa backpedaling going on there. So this is what a "repaired" TT Sub looks like?
Does this mean he's sending you the new $679 VIP version? You paid $579, right?
Well maybe this will turn out in your favor after all, keep us posted. I am very curious as to waht you will get.
Yes, I give the guy a lot of credit, I mean, all he was asking for was a critique of the watch, not of his purchasing logic.
Thanks David for taking the plunge with WM9, I hope it all turns out well for you and you finally get a beautiful blue TT Sub.
Also hk45ca's advice regards modding the blue TT Sub was excellent, thanks much!
Initially I thought this RO was pretty cool, when it came out in early August.
Now it just doesn't look good, it's the proportion of the bezel to the dial, too much bezel maybe. It is very clumsy looking.
I noticed this Yachty in Andrew's website today also. I'm not a fan of this design, but this Yachtmaster looks very, very good.
Andrew is offering this same Yachty without the full servicing for $120 less.
I play the uke and I actually took a music class not too long ago, it was called Son Jarocho, the music of Vera Cruz. Very cool stuff, heavily influenced by african beats and spanish flamenco. So I know what Clive is talking about.
And yes, one of the first songs we played was La Bamba. The class was a lot of fun, and the music is wonderful.
You guys, don't you read and comprehend?
He wants a leather case without display glass so he can carry it discreetly.
Ubi, try acetimer.com, he has some nice leather cases that are only $40.
