  1. Good job, Randy! That looks much better. Hmm, that gap in the original bracelet is pretty bad, now I'm not sure about getting it. I believe Thomasng said the same thing about his so it is a consistent situation.
  2. Excellent thread! Thank you for the photos and terrific advice, really fascinating.
  3. Sean (etaswiss.net) has a Pam 106 - Submersible in titanium which I haven't seen any of the other dealers carrying. That would fit your specs very well. Cool looking watch.
  4. Good for you! Joe's the master all right. Nice "in context" shots also.
  5. Here we go again, unfortunately this will keep happening the more people discover this site. I'm sorry to hear of your latest problem, Joshua. Did you guys know that Washington Mutual offers free international wire transfers with their checking accounts? I think I'm going to open one tomorrow as I think PP days are numbered.
  6. Are you serious? This happened to them once before. I remember reading something about them getting busted and the earnings of the business were about $6 million. Anyone remember that?
  7. I know, I know. But it's still a nice looking watch, no?
  8. Thanks much, Robert! I understand Honpo didn't pay their rent.
  9. Sean is asking $160 for the AP ROO in SS and $180 in RG. Japanese quartz movement. Do you guys think the price is a bit high?
  10. I wanted to look at Watchonpo's site to see if anything new was cooking and I can't find it anymore under the dealers section. What's up with that? Thanks!
  11. The bracelet of my 4th gen Trusty PO is one of the best I've experienced - smooth, heavy, beautifully constructed.
  12. I bought the el cheapo power reserve from Josh (same as $80 Silix) just to see if I can wear 44mm Pam comfortably (I can, yay!) and for the price I think it's an excellent deal. Very nicely put together, tight crown guard lever, beautiful dial, the PR works perfectly. Overall excellent. I know it's not accurate and you can't mod it but I don't care. I'd rather buy more reps.
  13. Even if you're not into Indian cuisine, I strongly recommend Masala Zone restaurant for some of the finest, freshest, most creative Indian food I've ever had. I believe there are 3 in London, and the pricing is excellent. Have fun, it's a wonderful city.
  14. How about a small or mid-size rolesium Yachtmaster - sporty yet fancy with the silver effects.
  15. You're dating yourself I remember that one too
  16. P.S. You can catch the ferry right across the bank from the London Eye.
  17. Take the ferry to Greenwich, a 4.5 mile trip down the Thames. This ferry affords you a different view of London along the way - I was amazed and quite impressed at the range of interesting architecture along the riverbank. Then go to the Museum of Space & Time at the Greenwich Observatory, its sorta grade schoolish but very cool. If you do go, wear a GMT, this is where GMT starts. Definately worth it.
  18. Admin, you've just had a remarkably bad run of luck recently, under the circumstances you are holding up admirably. I hope you just take a break from all of this and we see you back here again. I've been on the rep forums for almost 3 years now and have had my share of hassles, but, I keep coming back, it's too entertaining. Besides, you know they'll keep coming up with more Pams to buy, I bet you'll be back.
  19. Yes, my fun (expensive) rep collecting hobby started in September 2003. Efren was a frequest contributor, and get this - if I remember right - he even sold reps a bit. He should know better, having been on the selling side.
  20. Man this is shocking - Efren "was" a respected member of the old RWG - he was around about 1.5 years ago. Then he disappeared. I sold him an aBay Tt Sub 2 years ago, nice easy deal. Incredible, what's happened to him? I'm very sorry for your troubles, Andrew.
  21. Beautiful watches, and an endorsement from Trusty as well. I'd love one but I'm not a gold type, I'm afraid if I get one I won't wear it much.
