The gen Jones case diameter is 43mm, with a case height of 11.7mm. Perhaps one of the members who has received their replica can confirm the dimensions of the rep.
I saw that post as well. There's no way they'll use the swirly dial watch in the movie (I have no evidence... just using common sense). He'll use a normal 300 M Diver Chronometer, while the swirly dial version will probably be a limited edition available to the public, just like they did with the old "007" dial Seamaster.
I agree. Once in a blue moon someone asks for a B&R rep. Loads of people have asked for Sinns and proper IWC pilot watch reps. So what do they do? A bad decision on the rep manufacturer's part, IMO.
(and whilst we're at it, give us the damn RO Chrono already...)
Unfortunately the signs are not good. The episode of the Simpsons he wrote was probably the most poorly written and unfunniest episode in recent years.
The hour markers on the new rep are too far away from the inner bezel, compared to the gen. The 9 and the 3 are also a fraction too far away from the hour markers. Hands up who can source new dials...
I've seen lots of posts referring to Gran locking threads on RWGi. I'm amazed that the person(s) that actually did lock those threads has still not (as far as I'm aware) publicly owned up to it, and instead let many members continue to think it was Gran and contribute to the general feeling of ill-will towards him.
This auction for a titanium GST ended a few days ago. Looks like the rep to me, although not totally sure as I don't have it. Also no box or papers, which is always suspicious.
What's the concern with pp accessing your credit card? I would have thought it would be better to pay by credit card on pp rather than add funds to your pp account.
The picture was actually from the original seller ("leggas", from Australia), and wasn't very good. But I had to use it because my camera is crap. The dial I sold was in about 98% condition.
Did you buy from "watchpool"? When I asked what diameter the dial was, he never responded...
