  1. This is the 2007 version with engraved SS caseback.
  2. Excellent pick Tutima! This watch is getting rarer which is good for us Wear it in good health. I think I can see that you are also an IWC fan.
  3. Well... It's definitely not a usual colour. The glow is yellowish I am guessing, very similar to the running second on this one:
  4. Well... That really sucks. We have a heavily subsidised books here in South East Asia. Let me know the title and lets see if I can find. The catch is... it's written on the book cover: Not For Sale in the US. PS: Yes... the Chinese has cheap books too but mainly are written using Chinese.
  5. hmmm? we cool Rob? Another example, take a look at WM9 Yachtmaster. That is actually Seagull movement. Not ETA like what he described.
  6. Well, that will become much clearer then. However, I am still can't believe his reasoning on Seagull ST18 movement. It's not fragile and it works pretty well (on VCO, a few Patek, really early batch of SMP closed factory and FM). I believe there are more reps which use this movement but it's rare. Even cousinsuk has this movement for quite a high price (about 40 poundsterling). Yes, it's thinner than ETA2824-2 or 2836-2 but this is the attribute of this movement (ETA2892-A2 is thinner too). That doesn't mean that this is a bad movement. If you deduce from that, simply cost rather than availability that is hindering the repmakers from using this movement.
  7. That is the whole genuine bezel assembly. No replacement on crown tube but it has missing crown. And the CG comes like that. Here is what I posted on RWI DarkSide:
  8. Maybe only a different dial combo? I have seen the blue dial with WG or Platinum case I think. I got caught of no Photo in front of Rolex booth during last Baselworld.
  9. Ah,... just saw more pics on Josh web. Funny on why they use German for saying regulated in 5 positions. Patek doesn't use German wordings in their movement And... Stickers!
  10. I will get the Tiger. Was born on the year of Tiger. I hope it doesn't come with an open caseback.
  11. The Boesch or CD2008? If they do make CD2008... I may consider it, for the sake of collection. PS: I don't really agree with the colour too. Blue and yellow???? WTF. The Boesch, put me on the waiting list please.
  12. Rubber strap is not good on this model. Attract dust quite easily.
  13. Infact they have done it here. Just need to change the case and the dial (marker should be full white lume, without SS part): Picture courtesy of TrustyTime, my favourite place to window shop.
  14. Got it. But this doesn't have to be in Titanium... No visible parts or not?
  15. And for Seagull ST18, I don't see the problem on this movement mechanically... Infact I own a few watches with this movement and none of them has problems. Again... reason is more $$$ for the repmakers. This movement doesn't come cheap at all.
  16. This I can buy too... and we will soon start another argument with Rob like on JandrewGate last time. Anyway Rob, why not you share your source to make it very credible. Like that, there would be no more doubt about your stand. If you are not comfortable, you can PM me personally.
  17. It all boils down to more $$$ for the rep manufacturers. As for tooling, difficult machining, etc... are just additional reasons which are not the topmost concerns for them. PS: Indeed, the inner rotating bezel for aquatimer is not made of metal. If he is referring to the rotatable crown mechanism, he can easily use the SS part and then just make the crown cap in Titanium.
  18. amazing acquisition and I dare not ask for the price Don't wear it, keep it in your safe. Congratulations anyway.
  19. The case is the one from closed factory model sans bezel. The bezel is for America's Cup version (18k WG) and indeed, the original dial is black with raised Omega logo (this one is the non AC version). I tried to have my budget as low as possible, hence using whatever available on my part box
  20. I agree... Worth the extra money spent for verification. Serial number erased does tell that this watch may come from a grey market/stolen/a franken.
  21. answer is no... due to unavailability of the movement. If you really like this Bentley rep, get the one with 7750 movement (of course without that exposed tourbillon cage). If you see the rep like that (with the balance wheel exposed)... I can assure you that it's most likely a cheap crap. Can be had for 35 dollar.
  22. I have... Watch out http://www.elitedealseeker.com/index.cgi?category=watches 1000ish is highly possible.

    Fake SMP?

I see. Thanks for the correction. Yes, I based the observation on mid size auto model. Like this one:

    Fake SMP?

Why not Titanium? Speaking from experience, with different camera settings and different camera, Ti colour won't turn out that way like on the auction's pictures.

    Fake SMP?

Lousy description. Definitely a quartz model... and in SS (not in Ti) and is a full size model. Notice the lume mark at 3 o clock? Mid size doesn't have this lume mark. The date window occupies the whole space. A gen... but the description is rubbish. And for the price... not that worth it.
