  1. The rose gold/brown dial exists in gen form

The steel/black dial exists in gen form

The Pvd varieties do not exist in gen form.

The blue dial varieties do not exist in gen form.

    ....afaik!

Also OP, what's wrong with the rep strap, it's pretty damn good as rep straps go, soft and stays lint free...and a nice vanilla smell :)

  2. Hi Chris welcome to the forum,

Getting an orange strap shouldn't be too difficult, but getting one with black stitching or other type custom tweaks may be awkward, you may have to get someone to custom make such a strap. I've never seen one for omegas, gen or rep.

Have a look at here: (I can't say you'll get what you want but you may find something close)

if you want custom then there are many strap makers on the forums, Also keep an eye out for custom makers like peterwatchcc or kay straps, they would be the ones to go to for very close to oem style and might be able to put something specific together for you.

  3. Silix has always been top notch when I've ordered from them! I don't know why my post has a line through it?? Stuck button on the keyboard I guess??

It looks like like you are being sarcastic, and really think Silix is a [censored] :) ...just joking ;) Good to hear you are happy with the watch OP!

  4. dial texture is not reflective enough, dial print too anemic, font kerning is off, luminous too lumpy and matte, should be semigloss and much finer texture. tachy ring print is a bit off, handstack has minor nits, e.g. lume again a bit grainy, the black paint is flimsy and not correct texture, the chrono hand is rough. case pushers too low on the profile of the case, they cut into the bottom edge of the pillow because the movement is a thicker asian 7750 clone as oppsed the the genuine 7753 based calibre.

overall though, the cosmetics, the crystal, case & bezel geometry and superlume do their job and if you're looking at it on someone's wrist you'll be hard pressed to call these out.

    w0lf, you don't mess about ;)

  5. Dings always bother the first couple of times they happen with a minty watch, within a few months you won't even care about them, it's a good sign that the watch is being used as it should be and not sitting pointlessly in a watchbox. As said above that one would be easy to refinish a little to tone down the marks if they are really a bother.

  6. Fair play concepta, that is a very selfless thing to do, I know you have got your fair share of criticism at times (rep buyers can be the most impatient, fickle bunch of tiits, no doubt about it) ...but you have always gone out of your way to try to make things right. Many many 'trusted dealers' wouldn't bother their arrsee, controvertial I know, but it is the truth. From the many times I've seen you help out, or sort out an issue with a buyer or mail problem in the past I have to say you are one of the good guys. It is a great gesture and I hope it is appreciated.

  8. Nope, the new one clearly is 45mm. The new 42mm version does not have a beveled date window.

Actually sorry chef, you are off, just fully read the review there rather than looking at pics and both watches are 42mm, I wondered how the f could the 45mm CPO be just a little bigger than the old 42mm PO. You are right about the date window though, 45mm's have beveling, 42mm don't.

  9. Jesus dealers do some stupid things sometimes, I suppose if they can get away with that sort of thing the odd time they will chance it, even at the expense of shooting themselves in the foot. I once had a dealer try the same thing twice, taking pictures from different angles, it was crooked markers this time, in the end after lots of arguing I just told them to send me the watch as it was not in stock anywhere else, and even though it only took 10 mins to fix the problem they still lost my business. Another said watch in stock, watch in stock, then pay and told not in stock, could never get it in first place, choose something else. sigh!

...neither of those were Josh btw!

...they all have their moments....some more silly than others....but we love em anyway ;)

  10. :D sorry to see a bit of a mess up like that coop, but at least you got it on in the end...great pics also :) Those logos are finicky things! The trouble with these situations is when you don't have the tools handy it becomes like trying to perform open heart surgery with a blunt fork.....not really a pretty procedure. Some rodico, pegwood and a plastic tweezers would've been handy ;)

And get one of those rubber sticky balls for removing casebacks...works on 99% of them...or some rolled up ducttape in a fix. When you get the gen dial/hands it will looks much better, but pick up some tools with them :)
