Looks great - only thing I'd point out is that the datefont doesn't look like the ETA, but like the Asian datefont. But that is an easy swap!
Tempted to get one...
Set the date at 6.30 as usual. Remember that the date change mechanism is still engaged between 10pm and 2am... the hands are put on to be pointing to 12 o'clock at midnight.
It's not a super rep by any stretch of the imagination, subdial issues, inaccurate tachymetre bezel, thick hour markers, case shape, dial printing...
I know you're looking for a cheap quartz, but if you like this watch I'd really recommend an auto. There are some really nice quartz reps out there, the Tag Heuer Golf for example.
doc savage how can you sell watch here on rwg to other seller they must be careful becaus you LIAR and CHEAT, you know last time you sell me watch it NEVER COME and then i ask refund and you say to me to go f**k myself and i am very upset and say to other to NEVER buy from this seller because he CANNOT BE TRUSTED!!!!!!!!!1!!
Ok that's a relief to hear. I lost the black bezel off mine the other day and I've had to put the orange one back on, but it's missing a pearl and the orange bezel is a bit too attention-grabbing for my tastes. I'd rather be able to walk through London without being worried about getting mugged for my watch.
The bezel on my SMP bond has been aligned properly so that the pearl lines up with the 12-o'clock hour marker on the dial perfectly. Unfortunately, it is misaligned at the 6-o'clock marker (the dot above the "30" on the bezel insert lines up with the outside left edge of the 6-o'clock hour marker). Does this mean that my dial is misaligned, and the dial and the whole movement are slightly to the right of where they should be? Can this be fixed easily?
See, I think you should have emailed them with the issue first.
They may have offered to refund, replace, or partial refund. I have had this happen several times with good sellers. "Sorry to hear our product has some minor issues. We've tried our best, we can offer to replace it, or to return for refund, or we can do a partial refund to compensate you?"
Always try and resolve any issues first before leaving feedback is my rule.
I agree that the BCE is probably the best one of those to get as a first rep. The Navis are nice, but slightly less accurate and certainly less durable (by design).
Alternatively, consider the Steelfish. Extremely accurate and very durable rep.
That is really worrying. I suppose on the other hand it's good to hear that the Asian 7750 is preferable - at least they are put together using correct parts all at once rather than being a "franken" movement of sorts. It makes you worry about buying a rep with a Valjoux 7750 though.
