  1. Well, they've also got to deal with taking, processing and shipping orders, sourcing product from factories etc... there are only so many hours in a day and if they spent more time on the forums than running their businesses then we'd have complaints about their service.
  2. I believe the newer Chronomatics have a missing date window? Unless there is another version I don't klnow about.
  3. The black SFSO on a leather strap is the way forward. I think other people generally appreciate nice non-Rolexes more.
  4. Ermm, it's Saturday. I don't log in to work email on a Saturday.
  5. k2222 has been evangelising to me about this watch. Tsk tsk, you should know better than to use a flash when taking pictures of a watch... still, that's some mighty impressive AR!
  6. Very nice, how much is it and from where?
  7. Noticed lots of reps now seem to be using the 7753, but haven't seen any Navis. Has anyone done this mod yet? Seems like it was make it more reliable and remove the datewheel problem. Would there be alignment problems with the case?
  8. It goes without saying that anyone objecting to this treatment of animals should not purchase battery-farmed chicken, or the eggs from caged hens.
  9. I have mine on the BOB carbon. Love it. I think that strap looks great and definitely worth a try,
  10. Springbars are cheap and easily available on eBay. The tricky bit may be finding the exact diameter size to get a snug fit on your bracelet. Springbars are cheap and easily available on eBay. The tricky bit may be finding the exact diameter size to get a snug fit on your bracelet.
  11. Not that I'm an expert or anything, but just wondering... the Tri-compax module obviously adds thickness to the top of the movement causing the sunken datewheel problem. What if you removed these gears, and froze the gears at the 6 and 3 o'clock positions? Since most of us don't use the chronos anyway, and the seconds still remain at 9, wouldn't that solve the sunken datewheel issue? The big chrono second-hand would still move if you start the stopwatch, so if anyone wanted to take a quick look at it, it looks like the chrono still works.
  12. Omega rubber strap on the way for this one. Can't wait!
  13. Not entirely sure if you're being sarcastic!
  14. Thought it would be a convenient place to list which reps should have AR if they are to be accurate to the gen. This way, those who are considering AR mods can easily see which watches should have AR. Please feel free to add / correct the list as I'm not particularly knowledgeable on this subject. Double-AR Breitling Navitimer - gen has double AR; stock reps have single or light AR at most Breitling Superocean Steelfish - gen has double AR; stock ETA rep has double AR, Asian rep has none Breitling Navitimer World - gen has double AR, stock rep has none most Breitlings, come to think of it... Omega Planet Ocean Omega Railmaster XXL Omega Seamaster Professional most IWCs (3717, Aquatimer, BP, Ingenieur, except older Pilot watches) Single-AR most PAMs Tag Heuer Aquaracer (new version) IWC Pilot (older models)
  15. Still waiting a Yachtmaster from the Group Buy. Mine is going through UK shipping.
  16. No worries, I only know because I bought one recently and therefore had researched it. It's a very nice watch.
  17. Thought this was amusing. All the watches used seem to be reps: http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?Vie...em=270210951454 Can't blame the seller really... not everyone who sells generic straps is going to be able to afford gens to take product photos with.
  18. The most obvious mistake in that one is the datewheel should be black with white font.
  19. I just got the blue one this week and am blown away by it. I'm planning to get the ETA datewheel and maybe get it AR'd as well. Very jealous that you got the box set!
  20. I just got mine this week. What a stunning watch, even with a few scratches I think it is probably going to become my "daily beater". It really feels like a tool watch. I also have a Seamaster Bond on the way. Talk about a great way to start my Omega collection!
  21. Errr, whenever I've bought a watch from within the UK, it never took more than two days to arrive. Obviously it takes a little longer to re-ruote packages once they have arrived in the UK, but not an extra month. BTW, another reason it's nice to know if the watches have arrived in the UK or have been posted in the UK is in case the postal service didn't leave a "delivery attempt" note. If the watch is being kept at the post office, I'd rather know so it doesn't get sent back after three weeks, delaying things further.
  22. Black on white for my TAG. I don't know if it's worth getting the white on black for my Montblanc... the datewheel is recessed due to the tricompax config and I don't know what the gen uses anyway.
